The '''Un-clit''' was what [[Chris]] called a small piercing on his "taint" (or perineum, in clinical terminology), what's known as a guiche piercing among body modification enthusiasts. He had apparently gotten it as "a fair substitute" for a clitoris, indicating that Chris believes the clitoris is located on a woman's perineum. It seems that Chris's knowledge of female anatomy wasn't noticeably improved by his encounters with [[Mia Hamm]]. Chris's rationale for getting the un-clit also included an introduction to the sex lives of female bonobos.

After a couple of weeks, the piercing began to migrate out of Chris's body in a process referred to as "rejection." Instead of letting the area heal before a second attempt, Chris immediately tried to re-pierce it, with a ''safety pin''. This rather predictably resulted in the migration worsening, and even after going to a professional and having it re-done again, his body still rejected it and [[Catherine|Catie]] eventually convinced Chris to give up on the piercing altogether.

Despite obviously violating the Community Guidelines, as well as being reported by [[Trolls|concerned Facebook users]], Facebook decided that no part of this status was considered pornographic enough to warrant being removed.

Chris appeared to have either gotten very bad advice about caring for his new piercing, or gotten good advice and ignored it. No knowledgeable body piercing provider would suggest cleaning a fresh piercing with rubbing alcohol, which is far too harsh a solvent. Chris's misguided aftercare regimen likely contributed to the piercing's rejection.

==Repiercing the Un-clit==

The '''Dimensional Merge''' is an escapist fantasy and [[coping]] mechanism for [[Christian Weston Chandler|Chris]]. Originally part of the lore the [[Idea Guys]] had [[brainwashed]] into Chris, the Dimensional Merge is Chris’s latest attempt at avoiding [[reality]], believing that it will rescue him from his self-inflicted life problems and enable him to continue [[Chris and reality#Psychological_problems|living like a child]].

The Merge is an event in which Chris believes that "[[Dimensions#1218|Dimension 1218]]" and "[[Dimensions#C-197|Dimension C-197]]" (respectively, the universe of real life, and the [[Dimensions|parallel universe]] where [[Sonichu (character)|Sonichu]] and other fictional characters live) will combine, [[Chris and reality|bringing fictional characters into reality]]. Chris is convinced that he is the designated liaison of the event and will become a [[Chris and religion|deity]] as a result, giving the appearance of a doomsday cult leader. First announced in [[October 2018]], the Dimensional Merge's beginning on 18 November 2018,<ref name=mergebegins>https://twitter.com/CWCSonichu/status/1064201575994982400</ref> aligning with the 40th anniversary of the {{w|Jonestown|Jonestown mass suicide}}, revealed it to be a [[troll]] fabrication.
The Merge was expected to take place by the end of [[December 2018]]. Naturally, when New Year's came and went, Chris began backpedaling but remained insistent that the Merge would occur. On 29 December 2020, Chris tried again at claiming that the merge was happening<ref>[[December 2020 social media posts#The Merge is apparently on]]</ref> as a coping mechanism for the cancellation of the 2021 [[BABSCon]].

Trolls had put the idea of the Dimensional Merge into Chris's head, and have encouraged it ever since. A [[Teen Troon Squad]] member claimed the idea to have originated with the [[Idea Guys]], but added, "we discouraged the idea at first",<ref>https://kiwifarms.net/posts/4149788/</ref> implying that they later began encouraging Chris to believe. In the months since then, several [[weens]] and [[enablers]] have also pretended to believe in the Merge, enabling Chris and trying to win him over. As the default latching-on point for trolls and the dominant meta-[[saga]] in Chris's life at present, the Dimensional Merge has replaced the classic [[Love Quest]] after its [[polyamorous marriage|surreal conclusion]] in early [[2018]].

Chris proclaimed that the Merge was on when as the police [[Jail Saga|arrested him]] in August 2021 – the ensuing time period was dubbed the [[Post-Merge Era]].

== Background ==

Chris has, for a long time, believed in the existence of one or more alternative universes, where every fictional character lives. He first alluded to this belief during a January 2010 [[Alec Benson Leary Phone Call 2|phone call]] with [[Asperchu|Alec Benson Leary]] in which he told Leary that [[Asperchu/Background|Asperchu]] would surely have negative feelings about his [[Asperger syndrome|own name]] and repeatedly called Leary “[[naïve]]” for explaining that Asperchu is ''not'' a living, sentient creature who lives in another universe and can independently generate his own thoughts. This is most likely one of the things Chris has [[Things Chris has ripped off|learned]] from [[Chris and television|television]]. More specifically, he offered the 1988 animated comedy film ''{{w|Who Framed Roger Rabbit}}'' to Leary as evidence for a “toon world” inhabited by every “published or unpublished” cartoon character.

From then up to the Dimensional Merge saga, Chris has increasingly believed that the fictitious city of [[CWCville]] and [[List of Sonichu characters|his characters]] were real, embracing their alleged existence as a way to “escape” from anything he [[Kick the Autistic|does not like]]. Throughout [[2017]], Chris appeared convinced by the [[Idea Guys]] that the Sonichu and [[Hyperdimension Neptunia]] universes actually existed, but in a separate dimension. In [[July 2018]], Chris [[July 2018 social media posts#Earth 1218|tweeted]] at Marvel writer Seanan McGuire, asking him to confirm the "dimension number" of "this Earth". McGuire responded with "Earth 1218", and later clarified that this was the Marvel universe's designation for the real universe. Chris took it as gospel, and subsequently uses "1218" to refer to the actual, existing universe. Weeks later, McGuire reiterated [[August 2018 social media posts#Redesign|once again]] that everything was imaginary, but Chris' response to McGuire and various trolls indicates that he still believes that people such as McGuire can communicate with other dimensions.

Over the summer and fall of 2018, Chris met with the [[Teen Troon Squad]], people who gave him [[Chris and drugs#Cannabis|weed]], pretended to be possessed by Sonichu characters and that the universes would merge.

===Relation to [[Financhu Crisis]]===
Chris believes that he is wealthy in [[CWCville]], and that when the dimensions merge, he will have access to his [[money]] there and he will be able to pay off his current, real-world debts. He has asked to borrow money from people, claiming he will pay back ten times the amount once the merge concludes, not realizing he sounds like a more autistic version of the {{w|Advance-fee scam|Nigerian Prince Scam}}.

On 8 October, Chris tweeted:

On 24 [[September 2018]], Chris was [[Chris and the law|sued]] by Second Round Sub for unpaid debt, and on 23 [[October 2018]], Midland Funding followed suit. The case for the former was postponed to January, but the verdict on the Midland case was read on 19 [[December 2018]], requiring Chris to pay $2,777.90 at 6% interest and $55 in court costs.

Remarkably, he has done little begging in the wake of the lawsuits. This has surprised many, considering the immense amount of times he has groveled online for money in the years 2016-2018. He has instead chosen to stick his head in the sand and pretend that the Merge will solve all his problems for him.

==Beliefs on the Merge==

Chris [https://kiwifarms.net/posts/3862765/ announced] the event on 14 [[October 2018]]. On 26 [[October 2018]], Chris posted a video entitled "[[Dimensional Merge Announcements]]" where he outlined the process of 1218 merging with its "sister dimension" C-197, where [[Things Chris has ripped off|every fictional character known to exist]] resides. He believes that once the merge occurs, Earth will be shared by humans and various characters.

On 14 [[November 2018]], Chris made a tweet explaining the survival rates for the inhabitants of the sister dimensions during the merge. Chris explains the population math as follows; 61.25% of the population of dimension C-197 is identical to that of Earth in dimension 1218, the remaining 38.75% of the population of C-197 are OCs which are unique to C-197, all of the OCs of C-197 are guaranteed to survive the merge, at least 51% of the human population of the Earths in both sister dimensions will survive the merge and at least 41% will not with an uncertainty of 8%, the best outcome of the merge would leave 59% of the population of 1218 alive and all of the 38.75% of the OCs of C-197 plus 11.25% of the human population of C-197 in the dimension 1218C197, the dimension 1C-211987 would be left with 109% of 1218's current population leaving approximately 8.365 billion humans and OCs in the new universe.<ref>https://twitter.com/CWCSonichu/status/1062688325130219521</ref>

Naturally, he [[Chris and his ego|believes that he will be guaranteed survival]] because he "absorbed the spiral seal" from his Sega Dreamcast and is therefore the middleman between the two dimensions. He believes that himself and [[Megan Schroeder|Megan]] are basically deities, and that he will gain superpowers following the merge because of his belief that he is half-Sonichu.

He sent [https://archive.fo/AEDdd dozens of follow-up tweets] further detailing the process, explaining that [[Cwcville]] would replace northern [[Virginia]], Gotham City will replace a portion of New Jersey, and Equestria will take over the entirety of [[BronyCon|Maryland]]. He explained that this will resemble a natural disaster scenario and that mass evacuations may occur during the merge.

On 18 November 2018, Chris announced that the Merge had begun<ref name=mergebegins></ref>. This date coincides with the anniversary of the Jonestown mass suicide, implying that the Idea Guys had originated the Merge concept, as their calling card was inserting infamous historical dates into CWCville lore.

On Christmas 2018, someone claiming to be Magi-Chan logged into Chris's Twitter, posting a Pastebin dump containing the dox of one of the Teen Troon Squad's members. They also stated that the Merge would actually take place in 20 years due to time dilation, and that Sonichu residents of C-197 would need to hibernate until then. Chris ultimately disregarded the news.

== The Merge in 2019 and Beyond ==

Naturally, New Year's Eve of 2019 was an eagerly awaited moment as the final chance for the cataclysm to occur. In the early morning hours of 1 January 2019, Chris spoke out on Twitter in a New Year's address, explaining that the Merge had not happened on time due to "red tape", betraying some internal bureaucracy in the process of becoming the goddess of 80s computers.

He remained insistent that the event would still occur, adding in reassurances that the Sonichu-verse was still "Awake" to remind everyone of the Magi-chan doxxing's non-canon status.

The context behind Chris's aside about [[Jessica Quinn#Versus Idea Guy|Arfoire]] was revealed in screencaps [[Lukas]] leaked on [[/cow/]]. In them, a person purporting to be the Arfoire-possessed Jessica Quinn PMs Chris over Facebook, saying she had tricked Chris into believing in the Merge:

On 4 January 2019, Chris said that he was awaiting further information on the merge, more indication that the entire merge event had been scripted and fed to him by trolls who were no longer in the picture.

Particularly troubling about Chris's comment is that he wants more information in order to verify that his delusional thoughts are real. By admitting this, he highlighted a path for new trolls to get into his head, showing he failed to learn from the [[Idea Guys]] saga. Several eager weens rushed in to fill the gaps in Chris's ''knowledge'', though by mid-[[June 2019]], Chris had apparently become overwhelmed with these, and has since turned to other, [[Chris and his ego|more credible]] sources.

===Continued hope in the merge===

After the first deadline for the merge had passed, Chris remained optimistic that the merge would still happen at some point. While he was initially quiet about it, he began ramping up the rants about the merge again around spring. The game's premise revolves around using smartphones to see Pokémon characters in real-world settings, which coincides with Chris's beliefs about the merge.

*On 2 April, Chris was sued for debt for the fourth time, further confirming the link between the merge and his financial problems.

On 13 [[June 2019]], Chris claimed that he had been consulting with Jesus Christ, and that Jesus has been helping with the dimensional merge, which would be finished in the "near-coming days" – but without giving an actual set date. On 8 July, he tried to assure his TRUE and HONEST believers on Twitter that the Merge's effects would be 'MILD and TEMPORARY', and continued his long trend of attributing random events in the news as harbingers of the Merge. On 10 July, Chris, via his [[Magi-chan]] sockpuppet on Twitter, complained about the many uninspired [[troll]]s who have tried to take advantage of the Merge to exploit Chris.<ref>[https://kiwifarms.net/threads/7-10-magi-chan-telling-everybody-that-all-the-stuff-christine-said-and-did-is-true.58275/]</ref> This has not prevented others, such as the [[Multidimensional White Knights]] or [[Jacob Sockness]], from attempting to weasel their way into Chris's inner circle.

To advance his belief in the Merge, Chris has resorted to using sockpuppet accounts on Twitter, most prominently [[MagiChan111448]], to broadcast events. Whether he is using this as a transparent [[disguises|disguise]] to convince others, or he genuinely thinks that he is channeling his cartoon character's thoughts and statements into a microblogging platform, is unclear. In a [[Discord]] message on November 2019, Chris was still pining for the Merge, stating, "As for getting me into C-197, that Has to happen ASAP." During his arrest on 1 [[August 2021]], Chris declared that "the merge is on" once again, possibly believing that it will get him out jail.

In a series of letters addressed to a number of individuals penned during his incarceration, Chris has continued to maintain his belief in the Merge, even as he incorporated several aspects of Christianity and Biblical references into his ever-shifting mythos. Despite his apparent newfound faith in God and his self-identification as a living reincarnation of Jesus himself, he has consistently kept his title of CPU Blue Heart, making numerous allusions to his belief in the Merge across all of his letters. In his first widely-publicized message from jail, he claimed the Merge was 'completed and concluding'<ref>https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Jail_Letter_-_19_September_2021</ref>, echoing similar beliefs in his second missive. Most noticeably, in the third letter from jail addressed to a ween attempting to convert him to Islam, he states that the Merge is 'completed', with only the 'failing Earth' of his home dimension awaiting eventual incorporation into Chris' OC-infested utopia. While some expected his time behind bars to humble or educate him, Chris has evidently chosen to further ensconce himself within his imaginary world, likely doubling down on the Merge's use as a coping mechanism in the belief that it will rescue him from his imprisonment and probable conviction.

The Merge's future course is subject only to Chris's whims, and is not dependent upon Chris's [[Financhu Crisis|deteriorating finances]], his [[Barbara Chandler|aged mother's]] declining health, or [[Chris and reality|any other events in 1218]]. Originally supposed to be complete within a few months of its announcement, it is now ''nearly complete'' and yet continues to be pushed further into the future, as nothing in Chris's world objectively changes except the identities of his enabling rivals for incompetence. Whether Chris will abandon his belief in the Merge in the event of some external shock like Barb's [[Chris and death|death]] and its fallout, or retreat even further into it, is something only time can tell.

===Judgement Day, the Second Coming, and the Collective Shift===
As he was being arrested, Chris noted that, in his mind, the Merge was almost complete as he denied the reality setting in that he'd be thrown into the brig for a very long time. Some anticipated that with enough time away from the internet, and left purely to his own devices, Chris might come to realize the truth. However, instead of being a wake-up call, Chris's reignited interest in the Bible instead caused him to retreat even further into his fantasies, believing himself to be Jesus Christ reincarnated.

Over many correspondences from jail, Chris outlines a Judgement Day, where the following three events are supposed to occur:

* Continuation of the Dimensional Merge.
* The Collective Shift, where all of the "good and neutrals" in the world will be sent to C-197, and the haters (referred to in ramblings as the Toxic Minority) will be left behind on a doomed world as the rapture occurs.

Her hoarding habits also indirectly lead to the [[2014 house fire]], as sparks from a coffee maker that had no business being plugged into an extension cord in the bathroom burned the paper, plastic, and wood in the room before engulfing the house, and much of the [[Financhu Crisis]] is subsequently on her. Nonetheless, Chris remains unaware of just how bad a parent she's been to him, and he continues to cling to her in an Oedipal fashion (to a horrifying degree, as we'd later find out) as she approaches death's door, and he's no closer to becoming a self-sufficient adult two decades after graduating high school.

For much of the Classic Era of Christory, Barbara was extremely obese and napped a lot (earning her the nickname "{{w|Snorlax}}", after the fat, sleepy [[Pokémon]] of the same name), but she has since shed a ton of weight in her twilight years. This sharp loss of weight, loss of hair color, and knowledge of her son's status as a living internet meme all factored into her role in appearing in multiple begging videos, alongside reportedly playing up senility for the camera to [[Chris and manipulation|manipulate]] viewers into paying for donations. (Whether or not Barb was "just acting" senile remains unclear, particularly with later events in mind.) Unfortunately, [[Chris and money|much like her son]], she spends most of the donations that she receives on frivolous crap rather than working to resolve her mounting [[debt]] that which will be placed upon Chris after she kicks the bucket.

Nonetheless, some offered sympathy to Barb in light of some incredibly dark revelations late into her life. Either before or after she left her mother disowned her. Barbara gave birth to [[Cole Smithey|Cole]] in 1963. Throughout his life, Barbara has lied to Cole about who his father is because she is {{w|Maury Povich}} trash.

Barb insists that Cole's father is Jack Dale Smithey, to whom she claims she was once married. However, Cole was unable to find a marriage license for the couple or any photographs from their alleged wedding.<ref name="coleemail2" /> In 1995, Cole's friend, syndicated cartoonist {{w|Ted Rall}}, made an Internet post questioning the whereabouts of Jack Dale Smithey. According to the post, Smithey lived in Richmond in 1963 (the year Cole was born) and was a Merchant Marine. Records found by Cole in Richmond show that Barb married one Ran ''Cole''man Yeatts in June 1961. Yeatts was born in {{w|Pittsylvania County, Virginia}} but grew up in {{w|South Hill, Virginia|South Hill}}, a town about 35 miles east of Red Oak which also happens to be the hometown of Barb's mother Carrie and her moonshiner dad.<ref name=yeatts>[http://web.archive.org/web/20130211071320/http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/timesdispatch/obituary.aspx?n=Ran-Yeatts&pid=88787372 Ran Coleman Yeatts obituary]</ref> As late as 1960 he was enrolled at {{w|Wake Forest College}} in {{w|Winston-Salem, North Carolina}} (now Wake Forest University). He was scheduled to graduate in 1961, the year he and Barb married.<ref>http://www.archive.org/stream/howler1960wake/howler1960wake_djvu.txt</ref> Coincidentally, Bob Chandler was also living in Winston-Salem around the same time, where he was married to Patricia Faye Harley and working as an engineer.

According to their marriage certificate, Ran was living in Richmond at the time of the marriage, while Barb was still living in Red Oak. They were married at a Baptist church in {{w|Wylliesburg, Virginia}} near Red Oak (which the divorce documents misspell as "Sylliesburg").

A divorce was granted to Barb on 15 May 1963, at which point she was pregnant with Cole and living in Richmond. The decree states that Ran deserted her on 28 April 1962, although the final digit in "1962" appears to have been altered from a "3". Cole was born on 24 July 1963.

To further fuel Cole's rage, Yeatts would visit him during his childhood and be introduced as a "friend of the family".<ref name="Cole Smithey E-mails" /> After Cole hired a private detective, Barbara hung up on him when he called to ask about his father.<ref name="Cole Smithey E-mails" />

Yeatts later remarried and died aged 67 on 6 June 2007. His obituary in the ''Richmond Times-Dispatch'' makes no mention of Cole or Barb, although Ran did have a grandson also named Cole.<ref name=yeatts/>

Jerry Harmon is Barbara's former lover and alleged sinister step-father of [[Cole Smithey]], Chris's older half-brother. In his article [[Saturday Night Special]], Cole would further elaborate about his first step-father. According to Cole, Jerry was a professional magician who lived with Barbara in a second-floor apartment adjacent to the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond during the early 1970s. Jerry allegedly kept a gun in his nightstand drawer, which his stepson would play with, and was out cheating on his wife when an intruder came to the apartment, leaving Barb to have to fire the gun to scare them off. The shot ricocheted and nearly killed Cole as a result, hitting the wall a hair's breadth behind his head.

According to Chris, Barbara had not had sex with Bob for at least two decades before his death. Barb has had a long history of abusing and/or [[Chris and manipulation|manipulating]] her children. For example, she has often used threats of suicide to guilt Chris into obeying her whims. It also appears that Chris's diet is not a concern for Barb. The night after the Chandler family moved back to Ruckersville, Bob and Chris refused a spaghetti dinner offered by Barb. In addition, Barb has used the specter of old age for her own gain, by manipulating Chris into thinking she will have a heart attack. While both of Chris's parents are largely responsible for his current state, Barb has more often than not been the most active in protecting Chris from recognizing any failure or shortcoming on his part, doing everything from being his sole commission with [[Cutco]] to going as his date to his [[Manchester High School#The Senior Prom|senior prom]].

This pattern of accountability continues even into Chris's adult years. On at least two occasions, most notably after he was banned permanently, Barbara visited [[the GAMe PLACe]] attempting to protect and defend her little snowflake and argue his case with [[Michael Snyder]], but to no avail.

As first evidenced by the "GAMe PLACe/4Chan picture" incident, she is extremely paranoid regarding Chris's online misadventures, likely because she fears that he'll [[Jerkhief|get]] [[Bagget|arrested]] and [[28 October 2011|go to prison]]. Given some of the violent states of some of his videos and Chris's [[Arrest|track record]], she is probably not too far from the truth. She may also suspect that Chris is a [[pedofork|pedophile]], as she [[Mumble 10| thought it was possible that he may have fallen for a ''To Catch a Predator''-esque sting operation]] during the [[Julie]] fiasco. She even seems to suspect that [[Megan Schroeder]], one of the few women Chris has known who ''was not'' out to troll him, is partially responsible for the persecution he has endured over the years. She does her part to keep his activities under control by acting as Chris's personal concierge, as seen when she interrogated [[Ivy]] for about half an hour before letting her speak to Chris.<ref name="IvyQ&A">[[Ivy Q&A]]</ref>

Barbara constantly babies Chris and tells him how handsome he is.<ref>[[Sonichu Girls]] and [[White knight emails]]</ref> She also told Chris that the reason he often "blanks out" or gets confused is not that he is an absent-minded, slothful buffoon, but that he is a "[[Chris and art|creative genius]] and is simply overwhelmed by having so many creative ideas".<ref>[[Kacey Call 12]]</ref>

However, it seems that even Barb has her limits. Barb's habit of cuddling with Chris had been going on since Bob was alive, and he knew of it, but, due to Barb's manipulation, he was not able to stop her.<ref>http://archive.is/zwWV9</ref> In [[August 2016]], Chris [[Honest content|admitted]] to having [[Chris and sex#Dreams of sex with Barb|incestuous fantasies about Barb]], prompting further analysis of their uncomfortably intimate relationship. Throughout 2021, Chris was feeling several instances of sexual frustration, hitting on [[MKRNightVee|several]] [[Annie Ikenberry|women]] [[Isabella Loretta Janke|of]] [[The Suitress|interest]]. It has gotten to the point where Chris would release all of this sexual tension on Barbara in mid June, where he would continuously have sexual intercourse with her every three days. The context in which this has all happened is hazy at best, as information on the affair primarily came from an [[Incest Call|infamous call]] where he describes incestuous acts, and a few leaked chats Chris had with people. Throughout his affair with Barbara, Chris would hint at having such an affair online, calling Barbara a "sweetheart over 50". Sometime after [[the Suitress]] had leaked a chunk of the call on a Discord Server, which would soon after be posted onto various websites by her friends, several concerned observers wold contact authorities about the affair, leading to his arrest.

Barb is understood by most to be a highly unstable woman, and worryingly, many of her behaviors can also be observed in Chris. Many believe her to be selfish and extremely narcissistic, on account of her baseless belief that she is [[Daniel Weston|descended from]] [[Anne Boleyn|Tudor high nobility]], and the pathological manner in which she lies and assigns blame to others, even in instances where the fault clearly lies with her. All of these traits are shared by Chris, with Barb's apparent encouragement. Additionally, many aspects of her relationship with Chris are consistent with [https://web.archive.org/web/20201112020245/https://www.daughtersofnarcissisticmothers.com/mothers-with-narcissistic-personality-disorder/ narcissistic motherhood], which is a fascinating, but complex, a topic too lengthy to be discussed in detail here. Although Chris seems to be her [https://web.archive.org/web/20201112024302/https://www.daughtersofnarcissisticmothers.com/golden-child-and-scapegoat/ "golden child"], she does not shy from mistreating him if he displeases her. This can be seen in an email to [[Jackie]] from May 2011; Chris claimed that his mother flew into a rage over his [[tomgirl]] inclinations, forcing him to submit to a haircut and [[Death threats|threatening to kill him]].<ref name="jackie26"></ref>

Aside from her narcissism, Barb is also infamous to Christorians for her hoarding. During Chris's youth, she would create piles of clothes as tall as her son.<ref name=younger></ref> Chris has labelled her a "pack rat",<ref>[[Father Call]]</ref> and on more than one occasion has indicated his displeasure at her hoarding and the consequent state of [[14 Branchland Court|their house]], although neither he nor Bob are known to have ever seriously challenged it. Barb compulsively hoards her purchases, particularly from Goodwill, which, by [[2009]], had rendered the living room uninhabitable.<ref>[[Tour of Chris's House]]</ref> When Bob was admitted to the hospital for the final time, he was quarantined for bug bites, ostensibly due to the conditions in the Chandler household.<ref>[[Rocky Shoemaker call]]</ref> The situation did not improve after Bob's passing, either. A [[Tour of Chris's House II|second house tour video]] made by Chris in [[2013]] revealed that Barb's hoarding had gotten severe enough to render entire rooms completely inaccessible, with some rooms literally full of stuff to within inches of the ceiling, and others reduced to crevices carved into walls of junk.

Barb's hoarding was predicted by many to lead to disaster, and finally did on [[2014 house fire|10 January 2014]], when Chris accidentally started a house fire in the morning while trying to brew coffee in the bathroom, because the kitchen had been among the rooms blocked off by Barb's junk. Naturally, Barb's hoard provided ample kindling for the fire, and the house was severely damaged before the fire could be contained. In fact, given the state of the house in the second tour video, it's surprising that Chris and Barb were able to escape. Unsurprising, however, is the fact that one of the Chandlers' remaining cats died in the blaze, and one of the firefighters sent to the scene also suffered unspecified injuries.

While the Chandlers [[Rental House|relocated]], pending repairs to their home, Barb's stuff went into storage. When repairs were completed a year later, Barb had all of it moved back to 14 Branchland Court, and is not known to have disposed of any of it, even though, by all accounts, most of what she and Chris were able to salvage is either fire, smoke or water damaged, rendering it completely useless. This was confirmed in April 2017, when Chris mentioned the laundry room contained a "mountain pile" of 20-40 bags of dirty, damaged clothing that had not been washed since the fire occurred.<ref>[[April 2017 Facebook posts#Offering The Classic shirt for $12,000 minimum]]</ref>

Barb has also been long speculated to suffer from a form of dementia due to later video appearances (mostly begging videos) showing her as struggling with forming sentences without a degree of prompting by Chris. Some initially speculated that Chris and Barb were taking advantage of her feeble, elderly state for the purpose of emotionally manipulating their audience into giving them more donations out of pity, as there were other videos where Barb appeared to be more cognizant and seemed to be able to handle her own finances to some degree. It was suggested by some with close knowledge of Chris, such as [[The Man in the Pickle Suit|Marvin]], that ''she'' was the one who encouraged him to make the videos with her in it.

However, in light of the [[Chris and sex#Incest|incest]] situation, in which Chris noted that she seemed "partially confused" on at least one of the occasions that he jumped her bones, how much of her situation was an act (presuming if any of it was) and how much is real has been called into question. Barb was evaluated at a hospital after being separated from her son and was able to return to her home after he was incarcerated, though it should still be noted that the bar for being deemed qualified enough to take care of oneself is low. [[Fan visits#Barb Visit|A later visit by Chris's fans]], where Barb did not know that she was being recorded, may have demonstrated that she has a degree of difficulty with cognitive function, or at least that she suffers from hearing loss. This would also somewhat explain the reason behind the [[November 2021]] traffic collision that she was involved in, where she failed to yield the right-of-way and got T-Boned by a tractor-trailer on the driver's side.<ref>[[:File:2002DodgeCaravanCrashRecord2.jpg]]</ref> Since then, she's presumably had to rely on senior caregivers and extended family to live off of since [[Chris|her youngest]] is too preoccupied with [[Jail Saga|other matters]] to take care of her.<ref>[[Jail_Letter_-_27_November_2021#cite_note-2]]</ref>

Like Chris, Barbara was [[obesity|obese]] at the time of his discovery by the internet. As late as the 1990s, Barbara was reasonably slim, but she, along with Chris, ballooned out as the 2000s rolled along, to the point of resembling an American {{w|Rose West}}. Her massive size earned her the affectionate nickname '''Snorlax''' from the [[trolls]]. Barb's size may have led to her [[Chris and stress|sleeping a lot]]<ref>[[BlueSpike PSN Chat 3.7]]</ref> and usually skipping [[Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church|church]].<ref>[[Church audio]]</ref>

This has continued into her old age. When she attended Chris's [[26 December 2014|court hearings]] throughout [[2015]], Christorians in attendance invariably noted that although she has lost weight, she appears to have low muscle mass; probably due to her sedentary lifestyle. In particular, at [[26 December 2014#15 October Hearing|his last hearing]], it was noted that Barb appeared to be growing increasingly frail and possibly senile, as she did not present as very responsive, and appeared much more submissive to Chris than she has otherwise been known to be. In a [[Twitter|tweet]] to Cole from June 29, 2013, Chris tells him that "[he] ought to be over here putting bandages on [their] Mom's holey buttocks". It was not clear exactly what sort of problem this referred to, though it hardly sounds pleasant. On October 14, 2013, Chris elaborated in a Facebook post, stating, "my mother stresses me with her continuous rants about her damn miniature scabie flies, her suffering, the [[Financhu_Crisis|low finances]] and shit!!!". The consensus was that the so-called "holey buttocks" were, in fact, lesions. It is now believed that Barb currently has a colony of parasitic mites, rather than flies, that have burrowed into her prodigious posterior. Naturally, while Barb is being eaten alive by parasites other than Chris, her child whines about having to take care of her.

===Dental===
In August 2014, Chris begged for money on [[Facebook]], supposedly to pay [[List of toys|dental fees]], as he claimed his mother had cavities in her teeth that needed treatment. In November 2015, [[Family Needs to appreciate Family]] was uploaded to YouTube. The video is a plea for [[Cole Smithey]], [[David Alan Chandler]] and [[Carol Suzanne Chandler]] to visit Barb before "her time runs out", even though the latter two are not Barb's progeny.

On 13 July 2016, Barb unexpectedly starred in [[Donations Further Requested, Please|one of Chris's e-begging videos]]. In the minute-long video, she speaks slowly and almost inaudibly, hardly moving or blinking for the entirety of the video. While some have voiced concerns that this may be an early sign of dementia, it is just as likely that Barb, being a manipulative narcissist, was putting on an act for money. She has since re-appeared in numerous other e-begging videos from Chris, including multiple in [[August 2018]]; her appearance is frail and quite frazzled, and her sentences are often punctuated with tons of "ums" and "uhs", along with extended pauses.

It manifests in diarrhea and cramps. Which kind of colitis has yet to be determined. It seems the Chandler family's diet has finally come to affect her, and in order to survive she will have to change her eating habits; considering their stubbornness, this clearly will end badly.

On 23 August 2013, Chris claimed that Barbara had been afflicted with breast cancer but managed to survive.<ref>[[Facebook#Breast Cancer Awareness]]</ref> He did not give details about when was she diagnosed with the ailment, at what stage it was, or what kind of treatment Barb received.

==Legal problems==
On [[28 October 2011]], Chris and Barb were caught in an incident with [[The GAMe PLACe]] and were actually arrested with several serious charges, with Barb's including felony assault and failure to stop. The two were later released on bail. After a succession of court hearings, Barb, along with her son, was arraigned on her felony charges on 10 July 2012. She was sentenced to community service and was put under two-year probation, as well as being ordered to pay Michael Snyder's medical bills. When informed of the latter fact during the trial, Chris explained that his mother, a retired, obese, seventy-year-old woman, would take care of the charges for him. No one was particularly surprised at this revelation.

==Financial problems==

In 2016, Barb was sued by a Discover bank in Norfolk for not paying [[debt]]s. This came to light on [[March 2016|March 14]], [[2016]], when sharp-eyed [[Kiwi Farms|Kiwis]] noticed that she had a hearing on March 16. Since grave neglect of her debt was likely the cause of her being taken to court, it was widely assumed that she would ignore the summons too. Instead, once the court records were updated, many were surprised to see that not only had Barb attended, but she had represented herself, too. Equally unsurprisingly, this bold move failed to pay off, and Barb was still sentenced to pay $4,706.93.<ref>[[:File:Barb discover bank result.png]]</ref>

Five months later, Barb was sued again, this time by Capital One, for the same reason. The hearing in September resulted in a Default Judgement against Barb, meaning that she did not bother attending. She owes Capital One $15,906.99.<ref>[[:File:Barb vs Capital One Bank result.png]]</ref>

Her out-of-control debt was the catalyst for the [[Financhu Crisis]] of 2016.

In June through July of that year, Barb appeared in three videos:

She has failed to take accountability for ruining the family's finances, trying to pin the blame on Chris,<ref>[[Patreon announcement]]</ref> even though her known debt of over $20,000 is much larger than Chris's.

She and Chris had an inheritance from Bob worth "tens of thousands of dollars" when he passed away, but Barb decided to frivolously spend it on [[Rob Bell]] in an attempt to gain exoneration for her [[assault and battery]] charge.

In summer 2018, she joined forces with Chris in selling stuff on [[eBay]], including items from her hoard and her autographs, which some fans bought.

In [[Sonichu 12|''Sonichu'' #12]], Barb is in a set of pages that is a cross between Chris writing an autobiographical account of himself coming out as a tomgirl to his parents and a tribute to his late father.

Due to Chris's Oedipal complex, Barb is depicted as much more youthful than Bob, even though she was nearly 70 at the time. She is also drawn as being freakishly tall compared to Chris and Bob, despite being shorter than both in real life, though this may just be Chris's inability to keep his characters properly proportioned at work. Barb expresses surprise at her son's announcement on being trans. Chris states that she was "hesitant for a long while", but "got used to my subtle and more changes".

This is a drastic understatement, as the real-life Barb tried to stop his [[tomgirl]] lifestyle in ways including suicide threats, guilt trips (by claiming that she was worried Chris would kill her), paying him to stop cross-dressing, and even ordering him to submit to a haircut. If her attitude towards him cooled, it was only out of resignation rather than acceptance. After more uploads from Chris, Barb starred in another begging video uploaded on 24 May 2017, titled [[We Said Donations No Less than $1 00, US, Please]]. Chris removed the video the next day after people threatened to report him for elder abuse.

After the last failed attempt of getting donations, Barb and Chris engaged in yet another begging video on 16 June 2017, titled [[We need immediate funds, please]]. Ironically, she wore both the [[$400 gold necklace]] and a pearl necklace.

Almost a month had passed, without any appearances from Barb. With Chris getting decent amounts of funds from his [[Patreon]] account, there no longer seemed to be a desire to beg. On 14 July 2017, she makes a small voice-only cameo in a [[Soda Awawawawa Puccho Candy Response]], screaming at him for not closing the front door. She also comments in [[Solar Eclipse Vlogs]], asking Chris if he's ready to go back inside after the eclipse ends.

Barb's first appearance on-video in 2018 was in [[Selling Vintage Comic Books (Cole Smithey’s Comic Books)]]. She appeared a couple of weeks later in [[Our signatures]] to demonstrate that her signature, a key selling point in the comic sales, was real. On 9 April, Barb appeared for the seventh time during the Financhu Crisis to beg in [[Buy Our Things off of my eBay to help us, Please.]]

On 16 April, a [[April 2018 Paid Video Requests|bizarre video of a few seconds of Barb standing in a doorway]] was posted to the [[CWCki Club]]. On the 17th, she appeared as a guest on Chris's [[Twitch]] stream.

On 8 May, Barb appeared in [[WE NEED MONEY FOR MORTGAGE NOW, PLEASE!]]. Two days later, Barb appeared in [[May 2018 Paid Video Requests|paid videos giving shout-outs to school shooters Nicholas Cruz and Adam Lanza]].

She watched Chris spray-paint his shoes (and his bedroom carpet) in [[Shoe Colouring]], sitting in the same room with poor ventilation.

'''Reality''' is the universe from which Chris is quite detached, more than likely because he rarely leaves his [[room]]. Quite a bit of his sketchy worldview can be attributed to his [[autism]], as autistic people generally have trouble distinguishing between reality and fantasy, and therefore have a harder time with being critical towards and distancing themselves from events and ideas depicted in any fictional media, be it books, films, cartoons or video games. Because of these difficulties, autistics are also easier to manipulate and deceive, especially by sources they trust, and are as a result very impressionable when it comes to [[Chris and brand loyalty|commercials]] and [[Greene County Conspiracy|conspiracy theories]].

Another probable cause of his detachment from reality is the behavior of [[Borb|his parents]], who are (or were, in [[Bob]]'s case) themselves not securely anchored to reality. Their habit of feeding Chris conciliatory platitudes about how he was being mistreated out of jealousy and about special rules applying to him has resulted in Chris's [[Chris and his Ego|all-pervasive sense of entitlement]] and warped perception of anybody or anything that antagonizes him.

Chris is quick to deny indisputable notions, or outright facts, and will quickly retreat into his realm of fantasy, often to avoid [[stress]] when faced with the realization that he has been defeated, cheated or outwitted, as these instances are usually a result of his own [[slow-in-the-minds|stupidity]] or [[Chris and negotiation|stubbornness]], flaws which Chris will never admit to possessing.

As time has gone on, it has become evident from his emails and posts on [[Facebook]] and [[Twitter]] that Chris's already-tenuous grasp of reality has continued to slacken further and further - getting to the point that it has alienated even his closest supporters.

Around [[2017]], Chris has increasingly invested more hope into magical beliefs, multiple dimensions (or [[Reality Cartoon]]s, as Chris calls them) and the belief that he can converse with figments of his imagination.

Chris has a tendency to hugely exaggerate estimates of [[Duck|length]], [[White knight E-mails|weight]], and [[I AM STRONG|strength]] in his favor, as evidenced in his description of a [[11042009 51 50|12-pack of canned lemonade as being fifty pounds (22.7 kg)]]. This behavior is symptomatic of [[Wikipedia:Dyscalculia|dyscalculia]], a common symptom of autism, which leaves the sufferer with poor comprehension of time, measurement, or spatial reasoning. However, Chris does not really display any other symptoms of it, suggesting this behavior isn't mere ignorance, but rather Chris telling childish lies to try to impress people with his physical strength.

Chris automatically assumes his lies will be believed, even if they contradict existing information. This is copiously evidenced in his constant [[List of Chris's lies|lies]] during the [[Father Call]], wherein Chris fibs incessantly about his [[Chris and health|health]] (among other things), frequently denying things or changing his story whenever he gets caught out. His habit of lying and lying about his lies is likely inherited from his mother, whom [[Cole Smithey E-mails|his brother described]] as a pathological liar. When asked by [[Evan]] to remove [[Simonla]] from his comics, Chris decided that he could have created her without the inspiration of Evan's character [[Simonchu]] and, thus, effectively had.<ref>[[Mailbag 44#I want to see Simonla die so very badly]]</ref> The fact that he [[Things Chris has ripped off|demonstrably could not have done this]] did not factor into his reasoning. Chris "[[Alec Benson Leary Phone Call 3|corrected]]" Simonla's [http://archive.sonichu.com/cwcipedia/index.php?title=Simonla_Rosechu CWCipedia entry] with a "[[Alec Benson Leary Phone Call 4|retraction]]" denying that Simonla had ever been inspired by Simonchu. Chris expected that this revised version of the truth would be happily accepted by all concerned parties.

Chris considers people with [[Asperger's syndrome]] to be "fakers" who are taking "the Shine and Limelight" away from genuine autistic people such as himself.<ref>[[Aspergers (CWCipedia article)]]</ref> Although Chris has admitted that this "fact" is only his "own idea," he still believes that to think otherwise is to [[Chris and religion|"conform to blasphem[y]."]]<ref>[[Autism Awareness E-mails]]</ref> As with many other things which antagonize him, Chris simply assumes Aspergers to be significant of a conspiracy targeting himself.

The [[Sonic Boom Protests]] further revealed Chris's delusions about his power and influence in the world and showed he was willing to [[26 December 2014|physically assault somebody]] to defend the honor of a fictitious character whose arms were recolored.

Unsurprisingly, Chris can come across as highly delusional when he expects to be taken seriously. For example, on 28 April 2012, he made an empty threat to the [[Kiwi Farms]] about hunting down each of its members; he claimed to know where each of them lives in an attempt to intimidate the trolls. Even if one were to gloss over the fact that he wouldn't even [[Shigeru Miyamoto|cough up $800 to travel to Redmond to see his dreams come true]] (and it should be noted that there are trolls all over America, and indeed the world), there's a high chance that there will only be one [[Kick the Autistic|outcome]] of Chris actively pursuing his trolls with the purpose of doing them harm. All things considered, Chris ended up making himself even more of a laughing stock in the process.

Chris has no idea on how the billions of people on the planet think. He thinks that all men would happily wear [[Brassieres For Males|bras]] and skirts (It must be noted that Chris thought these ideas so that he and he alone would feel more comfortable [[Tomgirl Saga|crossdressing]]), and that every Sonic fan on the planet would support him in his [[Sonic Boom Protests]]. When somebody informs him that they have a differing opinion to him, he throws a tantrum and denounces that person as a [[troll]].

Chris also seems completely unaware of what current technology is and is not capable of. In his [http://archive.sonichu.com/cwcipedia/index.php?title=Sonichu Sonichu article] on the [[CWCipedia]], he suggests that Nintendo pour their resources into developing a Pokéball peripheral that would have slots for every generation of Pokémon games, including a slot for the GameCube memory card. He expects users of this peripheral to be able to read party data from the inserted game/memory card, display a holographic image of the Pokémon in play, and challenge people in real life who own the same peripheral (in a manner much like on ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh!]]''). In addition, Chris has no idea how everyday machines such as [[Son-Chu|cars]] work, evidenced in how [[September 2014|he claimed]] that a 1997 Cadillac with a cracked engine block was a great "fixer upper." Normally, any serious physical damage to a car's engine can only be repaired by a very skilled mechanic, or cannot be repaired at all and one must buy a new engine (both of which are not cheap, but [[Chris and money|that's an entirely different problem]]).

Chris has also been shown to be completely ignorant of basic human anatomy. In the autumn of [[2014]], Chris received a [[Un-clit|piercing to his perineum]] in an effort to make it resemble a [[china]], such that he could become a full-fledged [[tomgirl]]. Despite becoming infected in [[December 2014]], he simply had it pierced again. While Chris was persuaded to have this piercing removed too, he remained deeply interested in becoming a woman by unorthodox means, much to the worry of onlookers. Eventually, he removed the piercing, and the wound healed, but Chris was not to be fazed: two years later, using a knife, he created an [[Un-clit 2.0|open wound on his groin]], which he believed to be a pair of female genitals, growing thanks to all the [[Subliminal Frequency Hypnosis|hypnosis videos]] he had watched in the past few months - the same ones he believes cured his autism. Despite the wound posing a serious, even fatal risk to Chris's health, he did not seek any treatment for it until he was coaxed by concerned trolls to do so.

===Media===

Chris is also prone to interpreting various forms of media in his own strange way. During his attempt to put up his own ads on the CWCipedia, he claimed that the award-winning film ''[[Wikipedia:Avatar (film)|Avatar]]'' was meant to promote the eradication of [[homos]]exuality, rather than the tolerance of other cultures.<ref>When Chris edited [[Mailbag 23]], he [http://archive.sonichu.com/cwcipedia/index.php?title=Mailbag_23&oldid=5987 inserted into the article an ad for ''Avatar''] and wrote a caption under it saying the movie promotes heterosexuality. This ad was later on removed by the sysop.</ref> How he contrived this idea is a complete mystery; not only does homosexuality not feature in the film in any way, but the message of the film is it's wrong to exterminate anything. His fear of homosexuals destroying the future, incidentally, emerged from an episode of ''[[South Park]]'' called "[[Wikipedia:Goobacks|Goobacks]]", which was a satire of the controversy of illegal immigration. In the episode, a group of [[Ruckersville, VA|rednecks]] who had lost their jobs to the illegal immigrants from the future decided that the best way to get their jobs back was to destroy the future by making everyone gay so there wouldn't be anybody in the future. Chris, however, took everything at face value and interpreted the episode as a scare film on par with ''[[Wikipedia:Red Dawn|Red Dawn]]''. In a similar vein, Chris is convinced that ''[[Family Guy]]'' is anti-gay Republican propaganda, owing to his failure to interpret that the show is [[parody]]ing Republicans, even if poorly in more recent episodes, and that the show's creator [[Seth MacFarlane]] is famously a supporter of gay rights. Interestingly Chris does not have this same misconception when it comes to live action media. He's explicitly stated that Seinfeld characters aren't real and justified his like of the ''Saw'' series by saying that the violence is all made up.

As shown above, Chris rarely understands any moral dispensed by media, generally wildly misinterpreting them and then citing them as justification for his ridiculous and bigoted behavior. For example, while attempting to justify his attempt to pretend to be [[Liquid Chris]] in an attempt to steal his girlfriend, he claimed that he was "wrong, but for the right reasons".<ref>[[I Love You Kacey]]</ref> This comes from another episode of ''South Park'' called "[[Wikipedia:Best Friends Forever|Best Friends Forever]]", where, after a satire of the [[Wikipedia:Terri Schiavo|Terri Schiavo]] controversy, it is stated that Cartman was "right, but for the wrong reasons". In context, it meant that his goal of shutting down the vegetative Kenny's life support was the right thing to do (for reasons involving the fate of the universe that are too complex to explain here), but his motivation was completely off mark: he only did it because he knew that Kenny's death would cause him to inherit his [[PSP]]. Meanwhile, Stan and Kyle were "Wrong, but for the right reasons", as they wanted to keep Kenny alive in a perpetual vegetative state even though they should just let him die, but they were doing so because they actually cared about Kenny, rather than exploiting the situation for their own benefit like Cartman was. Chris seems to have interpreted this as "If you do a bunch of bad things, like pretending to be someone else in order to steal their girlfriend, you are completely justified in doing so if your dishonest actions lead to a positive outcome, like proving that you are the TRUE and HONEST Christian Weston Chandler and getting laid".

[[CWCville]] is what Chris calls his imaginary, idyllic fantasy world. It is his preferred means of escape from a world that does not [[Chris and his Ego|give Chris what he feels reasonably entitled to]]. Above all else, CWCville is built around Chris's comfort and convenience. As its Mayor, Chris enjoys as much power and as little responsibility as he wants.

All of Chris's characters are aware that Chris is the creator of their reality. Sonichu and Rosechu both refer to him as "father", in much the same way [[Chris and religion|a Christian might consider God to be his or her Creator]] (it is unknown if the comic exists in the universe of CWCville). Chris believes his characters possess the free will to make their own decisions, and that he is not responsible for their actions. This is how various events, both major and minor, such as Sonichu and Rosechu's wedding, the birth of [[Sonichu and Rosechu's children|their children]],<ref>http://archive.sonichu.com/cwcipedia/index.php?title=Sonichu#Sonichu_and_Rosechu_from_1998_to_Today Sonichu Page on CWCipedia</ref> [[Kel]]'s romance with [[Reldnahc Notsew Naitsirhc|Naitsirhc]],<ref>http://archive.sonichu.com/cwcipedia/index.php?title=Sonichu#First_Encounter_with_Naitsirhc</ref> and even [[Bubbles Rosechu|Bubbles]] and [[Blake]]'s wedding<ref>[[I_Am_The_TRUE,_Original_CCWC#A_history_.286:02_to_9:34.29 I Am The TRUE, ORIGINAL CCWC]]</ref> are said to actually happen "off-screen", instead of just being a [[Chris and writing|spur-of-the-moment throwaway plot elements]] that Chris is [[stress|too lazy to depict]]. Without prior explanation, Chris made a "spoiler" in his own comic that [[Magi-Chan]] will eventually get together with [[Silvana]], implying that, in Chris's head, this has already "happened".<ref>http://archive.sonichu.com/cwcipedia/index.php?title=Issue_10/Page_37 Issue 10 Page 37</ref> It is [[Retroactive continuity in Sonichu|Slaweel Ryam]], not Chris, who apologizes for slandering [[Mary Lee Walsh]].<ref>[[Mary Lee Walsh#Possible reconciliation]]</ref> Chris once justified his refusal to write Simonla out of the comic by saying that she would not want to leave CWCville, and that she and [[Wild Sonichu|Wild]] would fight for her right to stay.<ref>[[Mailbag 43#...well, this is disturbing!]]</ref>

Chris considers everything drawn, written, or even said about CWCville to be canonical if he's the one stating it (regardless of contradictions) and feels it necessary to explain away undesirable changes to CWCville made as a result of outside influences (e.g. [[BILLY MAYS]], [[Julie Reveals Herself|as Mayor]]). The fact that he needs to explain this in his comic pages shows that he assumes everyone else shares this belief as well. Despite considering his own judgement infallible as applied to his own work, he forces [[Alec Benson Leary calls|others]] to accept the "corrections" he has made to theirs.

When the [[Asperpedia Four]] used systematic trolling to make Chris kill off the character [[Simonla Rosechu#Simonla as the Lynchpin|Simonla]], Chris viewed it as a deliberate attack on his fantasy world. CWCville, which had always been Chris's way of retreat from the real world, had been infiltrated by outside forces and was no longer impenetrable, so this is likely why Chris put the comic on hiatus; to stop outside forces from causing any more damage.

On July 23, 2017, Chris responded to his [[True and Loyal Fanbase]], who wondered why Chris wouldn't reboot his comics. As a response, Chris explained that if he were to reboot his comics, that would mean that history in the canon would have to start all over again, and all of the characters would have to start over from their original origins. Essentially, he thinks that if he pulls the plug on his Sonichu franchise and reboots it, that would mean that [[Chris and Death|all of his characters would die, and they would somehow reincarnate into their newer upgraded versions]].

Chris has also demonstrated problems with hallucinations. His mind has showed a tendency to simply conjure up visions and voices of characters - whether his own creations or not - seemingly out of nothing. During a 2004 confrontation with [[Mary Lee Walsh]], for instance, [[Chris and psychology|Chris began to converse with thin air, pretending that Sonichu was in the office with him]].<ref>[[Jackie Chat 5|Jackie Chat #5]]</ref><ref name="Jackie e 16">[[Jackie_E-mails_16]]</ref> At one point, Chris began to pretend that he ''was'' Sonichu and started giving a speech that he claimed "Sonichu" wanted to give to Mary. He concluded the lecture with a [[curse-ye-ha-me-ha]], as of course he believes he has magic powers. Unsurprisingly, Mary ordered him to see a psychiatrist. Additional evidence for this can be seen before Chris crashes into slumber, when he pretends to converse with Sonichu and Rosechu. At one point, he claimed that the pair offered him relationship advice.<ref name="Jackie e 16" /> He has also claimed to have conversed with [[Megagi La Skunk]], particulary regarding how she has allegedly told him that she ([[Megan]], but by extension Megagi) should never have been born.<ref>[[October 2013 Facebook Posts#Megagi La Skunk agrees that you should have never been born]]</ref> Furthermore, Chris believes that he has overheard conversations held by [[Night Star]] and other random ponies.<ref>[[August_2017_Facebook_posts#MLP_theory.2C_based_on_listening_to_Night_Star]]</ref> In 2017, Chris has used his Night Star account on Twitter to talk to himself, even after revealing that Night Star was a sockpuppet of his<ref>[[NightStar2891 tweets#Lonely and conversing with himself]]</ref>.

In November 2017, Chris became obsessed with [[Hyperdimension Neptunia]], a video game/anime series. He has stated a belief in body-sharing with a goddess character (who represents the Sega Dreamcast in the series) by consulting with [[Magi-Chan]], then [[Chris and money|leaving his Dreamcast console powered on for 24 hours]] in order to focus his own psychic power onto it and pull the goddess into his body.

Through Chris's perception of [[God]] as an instrument of his will comes the delusion that he has magical powers that will permit him to eventually succeed over the enemies that he is unable to dispatch by any more conventional means.

The most notorious example is the curse-ye-ha-me-ha, a power that supposedly bestows terrible fortune upon the recipient. Chris has performed this curse on innumerable occasions, both over the Internet and in public. He has even retracted the curse ([[Chris and remorse|albeit reluctantly]]) on at least three occasions<ref>[[Curse-ye-ha-me-ha Retraction]]</ref><ref>[[One Blessing, and One Curse]]</ref><ref>[[I am Alive]]</ref> with a "Forgiveness Blessing'" which further cements Chris's belief in its efficacy.

He also thinks that he has the power to [[U8C43P2A37A8 y U8C1N023V0L|brainwash people into following his commands]], among other latent powers that he may discover when the opportunity presents itself.<ref>[[Mailbag 20#Chris still thinks he can actually curse people]]</ref> All of this magic is supposedly powered by his preferred personal relic du jour - either the [[medallion]] or the [[Amnyfest Ring]]. How these items came to be imbued with magical properties has not been addressed.

Chris also appears to believe that he can, to an extent, [[Sarah May Skype Logs|talk to the deceased]]. He told [[Sarah May]] that when he touched his dead [[Aunt Corrina]]'s hand, he could hear her spirit, along with the spirits of his grandparents and great-grandparents. He also claimed that [[GodJesus]] told him to "make the trip and go to Julie". Additionally, Chris believes that he can harness the spirits of the dead to do his bidding, notably when he threatened [[Megan]] with revenge by him and his [[Bob|father's]] ghost, and when he warned [[Alec Benson Leary]] that [[Patti Chandler|his dead dog]] would [[Asperchu is a Horrendous Joke|have his soul for dinner and haunt his nightmares]].

It's unclear at this point whether these visions are the result of his mental problems or just an excuse for him to do what he wants to do by justifying his actions as the result of supernatural phenomena. He may have gotten the notion of hearing supernatural voices from psychics (in real life or more likely in the media), who claim to converse with the spirits of the dead. During his time masquerading as [[JenkinsJinkies]] on [[Trollin Train]], Chris hoped to dissuade trolls by claiming that his house was haunted, describing [[Trollin_Train#Hey.2C_the_Equipment_and_the_Digging_.28Thu_26_Aug_2010_5:12_AM.29|an alleged encounter]] with the vengeful ghosts of Patti and [[Christopher's name change|his younger self]]. Chris apparently believed that trolls would heed this threat.

When asked by a fan how he came to learn of his powers, Chris replied they were evidenced by Mary Lee Walsh's reputation going "DOWN":

This is textbook [[Wikipedia:Magical thinking|magical thinking]]. This gives Chris a belief of some degree of power over his own life, no matter how illusory. This use of [[Wikipedia:Fantasy (psychology)|fantasy]] is considered by the psychological community to be an immature defense mechanism.

Since 2016, Chris has watched a myriad of [[Subliminal Frequency Hypnosis]] videos on [[YouTube]], and believes that the marketed effects of the binaural beats he listens to will actually occur. These videos promise bizarre results, such as [[Love quest|attracting love]], becoming a [[Tomgirl|hermaphrodite]], and learning [[Magi-chan|telekinesis]].

It was further revealed in the [[Doopie E-mails#Hey, Danielle — 30 July 2017|Doopie emails]] that Chris believes the binaural beats are awakening latent psychic powers within him.

==Conspiracy theories==
Among the many issues faced by Chris in his perception of reality, his tendency towards conspiracy theorism is the one that has caused him the most trouble. Chris views the fact of his own life through the lens of his huge, cloying ego, and as such believes that anyone who prevents him from getting what he wants is only interested in being mean to him for its own sake, something to which neither he nor his parents take kindly.

As stated, Chris believes that he was intentionally infected with autism by his doctor. Anyone who hinders Chris's [[Love Quest]] is part of an effort to "[[Virginia is for Virgins|make true love illegal]]", either in Virginia or nationwide.<ref>[[Sonichu 4|''Sonichu'' #4]]</ref><ref>[[CWC Blog#10 March 2010]]</ref> This choice of words suggests that Chris believes that he [[Chris and his Ego|is entitled to a girlfriend]], and that people are attempting to take legal action to deprive him of this alleged right.

When no culprit responsible for his unhappiness is visible, Chris prefers to accuse unseen hands of plotting against him. Chris blamed his inability to find guests to a sporting event on efforts by the Greene County school board to deprive him of friends; including conspiracy with realtors to keep him in Ruckersville and with [[Michael Snyder]] to keep him out of his favorite hangout.<ref>[[100 2178]]</ref>

Chris's tendencies towards these sorts of thoughts may spiral back to two people: [[Bob Chandler|Robert]] and [[Barbara Chandler]]. A phone call between his parents and [[Matthew Noble call|a GAMe PLACe employee]] revealed a number of things; most importantly, it illustrated that they believe Chris's entire trolling began as a conspiracy between [[Michael Snyder]], [[Megan Schroeder]], and a number of potential homosexuals to "terrorize", "torment", and "persecute" Chris for being autistic, going so far as to believe they broke into Chris's credit card account and tried to [[Chris and money|ruin his credit]]. Considering how readily and fervently these beliefs were held by his parents, it is sadly little wonder that Chris thinks the same way.

When Chris was active on the [[Tomboys and Tomgirls of Virginia]] forum, he revealed that he shares his parents' insane beliefs about the GAMe PLACe's position in troll hierarchy. Most notably, he claimed that Michael Snyder was hiding a criminal scandal because the owner of the Place (as well as three other associated hobby stores) is a convicted sex offender. He also tried to argue that the store itself is in violation of the law, simply because it is close to a public school and owned by a sex offender who is never actually there. Ironically enough, acting like a sex offender is one of the many things that got Chris banned from the store in the first place. Chris would eventually accuse Michael Snyder himself of being a child molester, going as far as to accuse him of molesting his own daughter. In case you've forgotten, Snyder once chased Chris down after he (unintentionally) took candid photographs of the same daughter Chris accused him of molesting.

The most telling evidence of Chris's belief that anyone who doesn't agree with him is a 'damn dirty troll' is the case of his [[white knights]]. Despite their attempts to offer constructive critique on his [[Chris and art|art]], warn Chris of [[Julie|potential trolling attempts]] and even plead with him to seek help, they have all fallen on deaf ears. There have even been cases where [[Clyde Cash|trolls]] [[Father Call|themselves]] [[Alec Benson Leary|would]] respectfully point out what Chris is doing wrong in life. However, as is the rule with Chris, these people were not telling him what he wanted to hear and were therefore ignored.
