According to an email Chris sent to [[Jackie]] on 26 [[March 2011]], Chris started cross-dressing at the beginning of that month.<ref name="Jackie24"></ref> On 30 March 2011, Chris changed his [[PSN]] quote to the [[CWC-ism]] "I am Tomgirl".

On 29 April, the [[Tomgirl Pictures]] were released by Surfshack Tito. In them, Chris is dressed in woman's clothing, posing in what he believes are seductive positions. For some reason, Chris removed the Tomgirl PSN quote immediately after PSN came back online after a month of inactivity on 14 May, possibly due to receiving attention from [[trolls]].

On 16 August 2011, Chris recorded [[Kaka Makeup Basics]], a makeup tutorial video, reinforcing his tomgirl identity.

Still officially a "heterosexual" and "proud to be male," some of his words and actions betrayed a deeper gender confusion. He started using women’s restrooms. He told Jackie that he fantasized about "fit[ting] in at a lesbian bar," where he believed he would have no trouble seducing a lesbian and persuading her to bone "in lesbian's position (the scissor-thing) with my dick in her vag."<ref>[[Jackie E-mails 25]]</ref> In December 2013 he confessed to Rebeckah, "I wish I was born female, with the possibility of being a lesbian."<ref>[[Rebeckah Bentley E-mails#Dead end of a life]]</ref>

On 14 August [[2014]], Chris revealed via [[Facebook]] that he was a self-described "Tomgirl, Intersex of Female Soul with Male Body, and a Tranny Cross-Dresser", posting shortly afterward to be a lesbian in a male body<ref>[[August 2014 Facebook Posts#Chris comes out...kinda]]</ref>. He also proclaimed that he is a supporter of "LBT" rights, which seems to have neatly coincided with the advent of his professed status as a transgender person. His omission of the "G" (Gay) was attacked by [[Kim Wilson|Kim]], in the face of which Chris admitted that the "G.M.s" were "fortunate" to be "on the boat", suggesting that he hadn't yet changed his views on [[Homos|gay men]].

In [[July 2014]], Chris had a vision, while meditating, about being a lesbian in a past life.<ref>[[:File:SchuComic12-1P68.jpg]]</ref> He took it as a sign affirming his gender identify. Years later, in a 2019 interview, he said:

In September 2014, a fan inquired on his preferred gender and pronouns. Chris replied that he was very comfortable being referred to by either pronoun, adding that he would be flattered at being mistaken as a woman. In Spring 2015, Chris changed his mind on his pronoun and name and referred to himself as Christine (apparently ignorant that Christian was originally a female name), a "Lesbian TransWoman", using female pronouns.<ref>[[Facebook#Contact and Basic Info]]</ref>

In May 2015, Chris turned his fursona, [[Chris-chan Sonichu]], into a lesbian transwoman. He also wrote about a fantasy in which Chris-chan Sonichu impregnates himself with his own semen to produce two children.<ref name=russelandcynthia>[[May 2015 Facebook posts#Meet Russel and Cynthia]]</ref>

After being rejected as a sperm donor the previous year, Chris tried his own DIY method to preserve his sperm for the possibility of gender surgery. [[Chris's Specimen Sample]] is a video of him showing off his collection of semen in Tupperware containers in his [[kitchen]] freezer, and dates on the containers indicate he was doing this for at least nine months, though this was futile as the sperm was destroyed by placing it in a home freezer.

In [[May 2016]], he successfully filed for a [[name change]] to "Christine Weston Chandler".<ref name=christinenamechange></ref> Later, with the help of his gender psychologist, he also filed paperwork with the DMV for a new driver's license identifying him as female, which was granted.<ref>[[July 2016 Facebook posts#Christine's Driver's License and Woman's Card]]</ref>

Chris was unaware that he also had the option to update his birth certificate; upon finding out, he decided not to, stating:

In early 2018, Chris suddenly announced that he identified as [[bisexual]] rather than lesbian - the result of [[brainwashing]] from the [[Idea Guys]] to make Chris think he was in relationships with fictional male characters.

==Interest in sexual reassignment surgery==
In the years before he formally identified as transgender, Chris had given some thought to sex reassignment surgeries. In 2007 he told [[Megan]], “if I ever stoop down to changing my path [i.e., becoming a homo], I might as well would get a gender change operation.”<ref>[[Megan emails, Aug-Dec 2007#Chris is angry about Megan kissing her friend, then pities himself]]</ref>

Chris's thoughts on the procedure shifted over time. In his pre- and early-transgender state, his opinion was essentially that MTF transwomen should not undertake the surgery as it would not grant them functional female reproductive organs.<ref>[[Calling Out Jack Thaddius - Ahuviya]]</ref> Later, as his gender identity changed, he became more open to the idea, but wanted to hold off until either [[Crystal]] was conceived or his sperm could be preserved.

In other words, there were two obstacles in the way of Chris losing his duck. First, a sex change operation wouldn’t provide him with reproductive organs. Since, as a woman, he would not be able to give the birth to [[Crystal Weston Chandler (daughter)|Crystal]] personally, he must first impregnate someone (he can’t adopt, because Crystal must come from "blood, tears, and semenal descent.")<ref>[[List of Chris's edits to Encyclopedia Dramatica#10 November]]</ref> Second, his belief that his penis could still be useful for relationship purposes - wanting to be "open to all women, Straight, Bi, and Lesbian." In a [[May 2015]] Facebook Q&A, regarding the operation, he was equivocal, and wrote, "I am exploring making the best of this body for Any Woman born with a vagina."<ref>[[May 2015 Facebook posts#All This and Eye-Contact Too!]] and [[May 2015 Facebook posts#The Mailbag Returns]]</ref>

During 2014, Chris stated that he was contemplating sexual reassignment surgery.

It should also be noted that Chris doesn’t have a fucking clue how sex reassignment works. In [[June 2015]] he posted an advertisement on Facebook: “I deserve to be a full woman with a full functioning vagina. In 2020, when Chris was asked about if he would be getting a sexual reassignment surgery, he answered with the following:

Chris, presumably realizing that his [[semen]] would no longer be potent enough to conceive a child due to hormone replacement therapy that he was utilizing, now seems to think that he's got another way to make Crystal and [[Reginald Chandler|Reginald]] real. It goes without saying that Male-To-Female transgender people cannot conceive children due to the hormonal imbalances that impact their fertility, and even though research on the possibility of transplanting a uterus into an MTF body is being done, Chris lacks significant income to finance such a procedure anyway, [[Chris and health|presuming that he'd even be healthy enough or physically capable of bearing children]] by the time that such a medical breakthrough could be realized. How Chris plans to get the money to get a sex change or a hypothetical uterine transplantation amidst the [[Financhu Crisis]] remains unclear; it's entirely possible that Chris believes that some part of the [[Dimensional Merge]] will allow him to fully become a woman and allow him to fulfill his fantasy of becoming a parent.

Not that Chris could afford sex reassignment anyway, as it costs thousands of dollars, while Chris [[Financhu Crisis|struggles to pay his basic bills]] and [[Chris and money|spends what little he does save on frivolities]] like trips to [[BronyCon]]. It's even more impossible now that he's been incarcerated. Even then, it's unlikely Chris would go through with the procedure, as doing so would castrate Chris and render him unable to have children.

Ironically, Chris's pre-transition voice was already naturally high, around the same fundamental pitch as [[Chris and reality#Psychological problems|a child]]. Instead of going even higher in pitch, he could have worked on feminizing his resonance (the "buzz" of a male voice) and intonation with daily practice, possibly with the help of a voice trainer. But alas, that takes [[Stress|effort]].

===Hormone therapy===

At first, between 2015 through fall 2016, Chris attempted using [[Oestrogel]] as a DIY hormone therapy method. Since Oestrogel is a hormone replacement gel meant for menopausal women, and Chris's self-regimen consisted of slathering entirely too much of the medication on himself, any effects were questionable and a potential health risk.

Chris eventually went on a prescribed HRT treatment consisting of estradiol and spironolactone<ref>[[Sachumo Interview]]</ref> around the fall of 2016.<ref name=hormonetherapy>[[September 2017 tweets#Chris insists he's on HRT]]</ref> [[Marvin]] explained:

Being a rural southerner, Chris comes from a conservative region and background. His parents are conservative, and anti-LGBT sentiment is strong outside college and LGBT circles. Internet forums gossiping about Chris (from [[4chan]] to [[Kiwi Farms]]) tend to be politically incorrect and avoid respecting transgender identities.

Chris's parents were not happy when he began crossdressing. Chris's gender dysphoria issues influenced the scope of his [[love quest]]. As Chris is biologically male while identifying as a female, but still heterosexual, he remained attracted only to women. To resolve this, he identified as a lesbian in order to address both his gender identity and sexuality. Chris also tried to leverage his biologically male body in an attempt to appeal to women of other sexual orientations. On various occasions, Chris has made statements to the effect of him being "compatible with all women", or that he can [[HelloLadyFans|"go any way [a woman] desire[s]"]]. In practice, Chris actually reduced his female dating pool dramatically – straight women are the majority, and they generally are not attracted to trans women. [[Chris]] has an '''unusual manner of speaking''', due to the combination of his strong [[Ruckersville, VA|Southeastern regional dialect]], [[autism]]-related intonation difficulties, and what appear to be genuine impairments.

==History==
Counter-intuitively, Chris's speech impediment appears to have worsened over time. He spoke relatively clearly and normally in his [[Sonic the Hedgehog Watch & Win Sweepstakes|earlier]] videos (outside saying "listen" as "risten" à la Daniel Larson), while his stuttering and other difficulties have increased significantly since then.

Likely causes include troll-induced [[Chris and stress|stress]] and a lack of conversational company not already accustomed to Chris's speaking tendencies.

Chris's problems in verbal communication potentially stem from either the extended period of "muteness" he went through during his childhood (supposedly as a consequence of his treatment by the [[abusive babysitter]]) or his [[autism]], a disorder which often results in speech difficulties. Chris's written communication generally tends to be significantly more coherent and grammatically correct than how he speaks. While writing, he has more time and freedom to determine what he says.

Nervousness in general may also be a factor with Chris's stuttering issues. His early videos in which he stuttered less and spoke more fluently, comparatively speaking, were possibly rehearsed and may have required several takes before the final version. He was also within the comforts of his own room and house, and possibly felt more relaxed than he would in a normal social situation. When conversing with outside parties, such as trolls or random strangers out and about, he may feel more pressured to be sociable and thus, trip and stumble over his sentences.

Slang such as "Y'all" and "'em", and contracting the "g" of words ending in "-ing" is typical in dialects of the southeastern United States, Chris's native region.

Chris's pronunciation of "nt" (Internet pronounced "Innernet") is a common trait of American accents.

Chris tends to mispronounce names (such as [[Shigeru Miyamoto]] and [[Reggie Fils-Aimé]]) due to his [[Naïve|ignorance]] of how they are actually pronounced, rather than impairments in his speech.

==Symptoms==
Chris's diction is naturally staggered, interspersed with pauses, deep breaths, "um", "uh" and "hm". The pauses and deep breaths, used in speech therapy, suggest that Chris has had his speech impediment professionally treated at some point. Chris's protracted style of speaking seems to make it easier for him to lose his thought, stray off topic, or forget to include certain segments of his thoughts. However, in the [[Flipnote Hatena|Flipnotes]] he has made, his speech is surprisingly fluent, with no "ums" or "uhs". This fluency is probably because he is being timed to do it, so there's little time to stop.

Chris also has a strong tendency to stutter. Although not the type of "machine-gun" stutter largely associated with the problem, Chris constantly has to repeat whole phrases, and he stumbles over certain phrases as he finds the correct words to best convey his ideas. This also could be because Chris finds the need to correct himself, and finds repetition to be the optimal way to deal with this. Ofte- usually this resu- this resu- thi- th- this ends up in Chris having to rei- repe- this ends up in Chris having to shuffle through many synonyms just to express a brief statement (prime example: [[Kacey calls]]).

During the [[Father Call|conversation]] with [[Kacey]]'s dad, Chris claimed to pause before speaking in order to "spellcheck" what he is saying. This implies that Chris needs to consciously plan what he is going to say or else he is unable to say it; this suggests that Chris's difficulty with speech stems from poor contact between the speech centers of his brain and his cerebellum, a common characteristic of [[autism]]. Ironically, Chris clearly [[Chris and writing|doesn't spellcheck his ''written'' work]].

Like small children, Chris has a tendency to speak too quickly, run words into one another, and slur words. For example, Chris's pronunciation of "[[Encyclopedia Dramatica|Ensykapeia Dramakka paysh]]".

In addition, he pronounces the voiced "th" sound (/ð/) as "d", even when it's not deliberate (as in "da" standing in for "the"). This may have also been caused by high-frequency hearing loss that Chris experienced as a young child (as noted by the [[autism papers]]). During his recent incarceration Chris has communicated numerous times with members of the public via letters and telephone calls. Some of those letters (and one recorded phone call which has been publicly shared by an anonymous caller) contain commentary by Chris regarding the charges for which he is currently in jail. The first publicly available letter in which Chris touches on the subject of the alleged incest was written on [[Jail Letter - 19 September 2021|19 September 2021]]. In it, he appears to strongly imply that he indeed had sex with Barbara. Chris's comments on the affair are tied with his elaboration of his previously expressed delusions of Godhood. He reveals to have realized himself to be the present day reincarnation of Jesus Christ. Chris was aware of the illegal nature of incest. In August 2016, he read a news article on the topic of a mother and son charged with incest and commented over Facebook on it, defending the two and saying they should not be sent to jail.<ref name=dream></ref>

The leaked audio likewise contained graphic descriptions of sexual activity, which Chris alludes to as the veracity of "incest fanfics". The authenticity of the recording was confirmed by Chris to [[Dillin Thomas]].<ref name="admission">[[Incest fallout chat leaks#Chris confesses to Dillin Thomas]]</ref>

Prior to the allegations being revealed to the public, Chris informed [[Bella]], [[Null]], and [[The WCT]] about the fact that he found a [[boyfriend-free girl]], although he wanted her identity to remain secret. He offered multiple hints about the identity of his new [[sweetheart]], but told Null that he wanted him to figure out who it was. Null was initially skeptical of the incest claims, since the [[Idea Guys]] previously coerced him into recording a (then untrue) statement that he had raped Barb, and believed that this could be another instance of similar manipulation. Null hypothesized that Chris was attempting to protect the identity of his new girlfriend by making up an elaborate lie, but eventually came to realize that Chris had been having frequent sex with Barb upon reviewing Chris's hints.<ref>[[Kiwi Farms posts (Null)#Chris's "girlfriend"]]</ref>

After this information eventually came to light, Chris indicated that it was "drama" and that he only intended to share the information to [[Messiah complex|test his followers]], who he trusted not to share the information with the public at large despite incest being illegal. [[Chris and remorse|Chris being Chris]], he seems to be more upset over the fact that [[Honest Content|trusting people not to leak evidence of a criminal act]] led to [[Jail Saga|serious, life-changing consequences for him]] than the idea that he may have caused harm to Barb, and as multiple [[jail letters]] show, he does not have guilt over the fact that he did something illegal (not to mention he clearly hasn't learned from ''years'' of experience that [[Honest Content|constantly sharing personal information at the drop of a hat]], be it embarrassing or '''incriminating''' in this case, invariably comes back to bite him in the rear later on).

== Was it consensual? ==

On the CWCki, there are two main camps that people fall into when discussing this topic:
There are people who believe the affair to be abusive or even flat-out rape, while there are other people who believe the affair was consensual between the two.

The following list contains many common points of argument for both sides but also a counterargument for each and every one.

The evidence for the affair being nonconsensual are as follows:

* Barb has been speculated to be suffering from dementia or some other form of mental decline; there are too many videos of her displaying symptoms to list, but this could be her intentionally faking it for sympathy donations. Also, some have pointed out that Barb was quite cognizant in other recent videos, adding weight to the theory that her behavior in the begging videos could have been exaggerated.
* Chris mentioned during [[Incest Texts]] that Barb told him to stop during his attempts to finger her; however, this would have been Chris's first time fingering a woman ([[Mia Hamm]] didn't allow him to do so during their times together) and Chris mentioned this act hurt Barb at first; meaning Barb could have been stopping him from his attempts due to the pain but otherwise consented to be fingered.
* Chris, during the [[Incest Call]], mentions that Barb seemed partially confused at first; However, Chris did say she "came around," so it's possible he was referring to his advances towards her, and she didn't initially understand/ believe what Chris was asking for.
* Chris mentioned in [[Jail Letter - 22 July 2022 (2)]] that Barb was "Zombie-like" and not even aware of her surroundings even before the affair began; while damning (if true), it's worth mentioning that Chris during the letter is begging Kenneth for assistance in moving Barb out of the house, arguing that Barb simply cannot take care of herself. Chris, being Chris, could simply not know the implications of what he's actually saying, and it's quite possible that Chris is desperately lying since Kenneth disapproved of the idea unless there was no other option for Barb.

The evidence for the affair being consensual are as follows:

* Chris and Barbara's relationship is infamously creepy and way too close for comfort; this is the main source of people believing the affair was consensual and for good reason. Barb would often yell at Chris if he didn't share a bed with her, and Chris has admitted numerous times that he spoons with her (after Bob's death). They were also often seen talking to each other and even holding each other as if they were husband and wife for a long time before the affair began. Barb is infamous for being horribly [[Chris and manipulation|manipulative]] for her own personal gain, and she does not see any problem with coddling and emotionally blackmailing Chris in order to go along with what she wants to do (usually money or food-related stuff); with this in mind, while their relationship is definitely unhealthy for a mother and son to have, it does not prove that Barb was interested in an incestuous affair with Chris.
* Chris claimed to Null during his temporary homelessness in [[Null DMs|a direct message]] that the affair was definitely consensual; however, [[Honest Content|even somebody like Chris]] would probably hesitate to admit raping their own mother, especially to their main benefactor at the time.
* Chris boasted during the [[Incest Call]] that Barb was "having a good time" and even claimed that he let her make the first move; even if this is true, it does not rule out that Chris hadn't coerced or otherwise manipulated her into having sex with him since he did mention in the same call that she was "partially confused at first." Chris's idea of approaching a love interest with "care and caution" '''does not''' translate to consent or even consideration for somebody else's feelings; his idea of nervous behavior around [[Kacey]], for example, included touching her multiple times without her consent and his interactions with [[Megan]] which he describes as "friendly" also included a lot of unwanted attempts to hug and kiss her.
* In [[Jail Letter - 11 May 2022]], Chris claimed that after he lost his virginity to Mia Hamm and told his mom about it, Barb stated that she would have had sex with him herself; while this does sound like Barb offering herself to Chris, there is a massive possibility that Barb was simply saying he could [[Attraction Sign|pull women without paying them]]. Though definitely creepy, it does not mean she actually wanted sex with him and even if she did, the quote came from a decade beforehand so this would not count as consent.

In the end, we will perhaps never honestly know; Barb is apparently not willing to comment or give any further details (and thankfully, nobody has pressed her on such), and Chris is currently in denial that the affair ever took place. If Chris is formally charged and sentenced with felony incest (or perhaps rape), it could be a case of Chris simply piling on tons of poorly worded evidence against himself [[Honest Content|(as he's done throughout most of his life)]]; if Chris is found innocent or just given the sentence for misdemeanor incest, it could be seen as yet another example of the criminal justice system [[Honor roll|going easy]] on [[Autism|somebody with special needs]], and Chris gets away with yet another crime [[Chris and the law|(something that he has also done throughout most of his life)]] as a result.

Ironically, despite this being one of the most critical moments in Chris's life, [[Geno Samuel|a life that has been documented extensively down to the finest detail]], we continue to and will likely never know the essential details of it.

==Chris's Comments on the Affair post-incarceration==

During his recent incarceration Chris has communicated numerous times with members of the public via letters and telephone calls. Some of those letters (and one recorded phone call which has been publicly shared by an anonymous caller) contain commentary by Chris regarding the charges for which he is currently in jail. The first publicly available letter in which Chris touches on the subject of the alleged incest was written on [[Jail Letter - 19 September 2021|19 September 2021]]. In it, he appears to strongly imply that he indeed had sex with Barbara. Chris's comments on the affair are tied with his elaboration of his previously expressed delusions of Godhood. He reveals to have realized himself to be the present day reincarnation of Jesus Christ. The supreme Goddess Emanuelle had ordered him to to purify Barbara of her sins and improve her abilities as well. In his description of how this was done, Chris writes that he and his mother "mainly Cuddled, Soul-Bonded, and Talked." No sexual acts are explicitly mentioned, but the rest of the letter strongly implies that they were included in Chris's "healing" of Barbara. Chris goes on to write that the healing he performed on his mother was similarly done by him on other individuals during his previous life as Jesus Christ, though the details of said healings were omitted from the the Bible. Chris then goes on to inform the letter's recipient that "We Gods had eased up on the views of "Adultry [sic]"; WHY Else do you all have Pro-Gay, and Pro-Lesbian, Pro-Trans, and all Today and the past Decades?" While the word "adultery" is typically used to refer to marital infidelity, it appears that in this letter it should be read as "acts that go against traditional sexual morality". By grouping the "healing" of Barbara in the same category as intimate relations between members of the same sex, Chris strongly implies that the "healing" of Barbara likewise included romantic and sexual acts. Chris's defense of the "healing" on the counts that all those who were involved in it were both willing and above the legal age of consent further enhances the impression that it was at least partially sexual in nature.

While he 19 September letter was just a few baby steps away from being an explicit admission of incest, it did not take long for Chris to become more coy as to whether or not incest between him and Barb had occurred. In a [[Jail Call - 1 November 2021|1 November 2021 telephone call]] Chris failed to either explicitly deny or acknowledge that he and Barb had sex. The same ambiguousness regarding the truthfulness of the charges against him can be seen in a letter written on [[Jail Letter - 16 November 2021|16 November 2021]].

At some point Chris changed his tune and began to outright deny that there was any sexual intimacy between him and his mother. As far as public evidence goes, Chris first explicitly denied the charges against him in the [[Jail Letter - 11 May 2022|11 May 2022 jail letter]]. In the same letter Chris alleges that in [[May 2012]] Barbara made sexual advances towards him after he revealed to her that he had paid a prostitute a month beforehand. He goes on to write that after the death of Bob Barb came to see Chris as a husband-like figure. Further denials that Chris ever had sexual relations with Barb appear in jail letters written on [[Jail Letter - 1 June 2022|1 June]] and [[Jail Letter - 4 June 2022|4 June 2022]]. Chris does acknowledge that prior to his arrest he told others that he had sex with Barb, but by now he claims that those admissions were false. As he wrote in the 4 June 2022 letter: "I have never had sex with Barbara; that was purely Big Talk to Divinely Test everyone." Already in the letters from 19 September 2021 and 16 November 2021 Chris claimed that his pre-arrest admissions were made in order to test certain individuals, but only recently Chris began to claim that these admissions were false.

==Consequences==

It is a [[Chris and the law|criminal offense]] in Virginia to engage in incest – sexual activities between a parent and a child are a class 5 felony, punishable on indictment by up to 10 years incarceration. Chris was swiftly removed from his home by an Emergency Protective Order, then arrested the next day. In the wake of his charges, Chris was [[ban]]ned from [[Patreon]] and [[Tapas]]. Collaborators who had once worked with him withdrew, such as the band who released [[Love is Love (song)|Love is Love]] pulling it from sale.

Since then, he was held without bail in Central Virginia Regional Jail before getting transferred to [[Western State Hospital]], awaiting trial.<ref>[https://www.facebook.com/269663503100241/photos/a.398555170211073/4389133984486485/?type=3 Press release]</ref> On 3 [[May 2022]], Chris was transferred back to CVRJ. In [[April 2023]], Chris was released and was released from jail.

If Barb consented, she could be charged as a willing participant. If Barb did ''not'' consent, as some have speculated that she may be incapable of that, Chris's potential sentence could be significantly longer given the severity of a rape charge.

In it, Chris requests that [[Fan|his viewers]] help him raise [[money]] via a GoFundMe campaign so that he can go to [[Everfree Northwest]] 2021, a ''[[My Little Pony]]'' convention that takes place in Washington State.

On 30 July, two weeks prior to the convention, Everfree Northwest [[List of places that have banned Chris|banned]] Chris from attending in the wake of leaked chatlogs in which Chris described [[incest]]uous acts on his [[mother]], which first occurred weeks before this video was uploaded.

The GoFundMe was organized by [[Null]] and asked for $1,000. The description stated that the flight would cost $750 and that the remainder would go towards expenses while in Seattle. It reached its $1000 goal 6 hours after going live. The Fundraiser would be closed on 13 July 2021, after it had reached $5,000. I was reading over the Ivy Q&A thing, and apparently the first time Ivy called the Chandlers, Barb was at the phone asking her personal questions. Do we have evidence that Barb and/or Bob had any desire to divorce/separate? The article section about her marriage to Bob suggests that his parents wanted to divorce but chose not to for Chris's sake. Source? : As far as anyone can tell they were just fossils. Neither would have a sex drive and they'd basically just be living with each other. If you were either one wouldn't you get the shits with the mannerisms of the other after almost 30 years raising Chris together? Supposedly they used to go out drinking but in their decaying state that wouldn't be an option, biologically or financially. If they divorced someone would give up pension/rent money and the house. Wasn't there some e-mail or something where Chris talks about how Barb was escaping some psychotic murderer and she slept with a random stranger who saved her and that's Cole's father? Likewise, we say something about the spaghetti incident, where Barb stopped cooking because she made spaghetti one night and Chris and Bob didn't feel like eating spaghetti.
