The '''audiobooks''' are a series of videos on the [[YouTube]], juxtaposing scenes from the ''[[Sonichu (comic)|Sonichu]]'' comic book with audio of a dramatic reading. The audiobooks serve a valuable function, disseminating the world of ''Sonichu'' to the visually impaired, the illiterate, and people who aren't retarded enough to actually read ''Sonichu'' for themselves. A major highlight of the audiobooks is the annotations provided by [[Vivian Gee]] commenting on the project, offering scathing criticism of the comics themselves.

[[Chris]] has, in another fit of self-righteous rage, started uploading "[[Official Videobooks]]" in response to the success of the audiobooks, but, just like anything else that is produced by the man-child's hands, these OFFICIAL audiobooks are made of fail.

As of 12th May 2012, Vivian has closed her YouTube channel and thus the Audiobooks are unavailable.

==History==
The original audio for the audiobooks were created by the old narrator, which Vivian then decided to turn into videos. These initial audiobooks set the initial tone for the audiobooks, with the narrator playing it straight and allowing the absurdity of the story itself to come through without comment. The old narrator can be identified by his soft, deep, Tony Curtis-esque voice. He recorded readings of Episodes #1-9 and Sub-Episodes #1-2 (comprising most of ''Sonichu'' #0-2) before being committed to a mental asylum as a result of going mad.

Responding to demand for moar audiobooks, Vivian opened auditions and selected Dethchemist77 as the new (and current) narrator. Deth continues the tradition of a straight reading (with some exceptions), but in a tone more like that of the narration of an anime than a dramatic reading. Beginning around [[Sonichu 8|''Sonichu'' #8]], his narration has begun to show early signs of mental breakdown from having to describe whatever the hell Chris is trying to draw.

At some point Chris has forgiven Vivi, endorsing the audiobooks officially under the condition that she give him a percentage of all sales. Since there are, technically, no actual "sales" to be had, this should be interesting.

==The Greene County Health Department responds==

In addition to creating many, many mirrors of the videos Bob wanted cut down, some more intrepid viewers actually did contact the Greene County Health Department. The Health Department did respond (3 weeks later) to one such letter, although they seemed indifferent and stated the Chandler's decision to live in a garbage house full of dirty dishes and animal feces was part of their inalienable rights as guaranteed by the US Constitution:

choose is protected by the Constitution. We know smoking greatly
increases the risk of cancer and heart disease, yet individuals continue
to choose to smoke. Regulations are in place to minimize public exposure
to contaminated or mishandled foods, yet some individuals still choose
to eat raw hamburger. In the case you've brought to our attention, the
"deplorable conditions" you refer to appear to be confined to the
individual residence and are the choice of those that live there. They
do not appear to effect the health of the community. There are no
specific health regulations that address individual choices in private
living conditions.

We have contacted the building official to see if any building, zoning
of fire prevention laws apply and were informed that they did not. We
also contacted the Greene County Attorney to see if he knew of any
County ordinances that would be applicable. He did not know of any. We
also contacted adult protective services to make sure they are aware of
the situation.

Such a video had been requested by both [[Julie]]<ref>[[IRC (15 December 2008)]]</ref> and [[Ivy]].<ref>[[Ivy Q&A]]</ref> Like his own room, Chris's entire house is filled with junk.
