Nowadays, it is widely accepted that '''dreams''' can provide valuable insight into the mind of the dreamer. While they represent, at best, a warped reflection of what goes on in the unconscious mind, dreams are nevertheless made up of more than just random, meaningless images; usually involving the memories and thoughts of said individual. <ref>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream</ref>

[[Chris]] adheres to a simpler, primitive belief in the significance of dreams. It's part and parcel of his [[Religion|religious]] mysticism — he believes many of his dreams are messages from God, as if he were a modern day [[wikipedia:Book Of Daniel|Daniel.]] Dreams, in Chris's mind, can provide accurate portents of the future, and much of his strange behavior may be connected to his attempts to make these dreams into [[Chris and reality|reality]].

==Significant dreams==

Chris has often claimed that his dreams represent communications from the divine. On [[IRC (02 January 2009)|IRC]], when asked about his purpose in life, he explained it like so: "To eventually be married to my Sweetheart, then give birth and raise my daughter, as God has pointed it out for me in my dream." Likewise, when [[PandaHalo]] asked him why he wanted a daughter so badly, he said, "it was fortold to me in multiple dreams."

During the [[Father Call]], when Matthew Devoria pointed out that his belief in prophetic dreams was both highly unlikely and potentially blasphemous, Chris was willing to back off from some of the weirder implications of his philosophy. "I am not saying that I am a prophet," he admitted. However, he continued to cling to the belief that his dreams represent the future. "I'm not saying that it is the definite future," he explained, "but that it is a POSSIBLE future."

It could be that Chris believes that [[Chris and religion|God]] gives him these "visions of the future" in order to comfort him with the knowledge that he will, in fact, triumph in the face of adversity and [[autism]]. Chris himself has, on several occasions, shown that he fears suspense and uncertainty, and it wouldn't be a great leap of reason to assume that he thinks [[Chris and his Ego|God is personally tossing him spoilers for his own life]] in much the same way as Chris slathers them onto [[Sonichu]].

When a letter in [[Mailbag 55]] called Chris out on his insane belief, his response was to ask "What is YOUR Dream Career?," suggesting that he has misinterpreted various dream-related expressions such as "the woman of my dreams" or "my dream job." While the expressions actually mean, "It would be dreamlike to have a job like that or a wife like her," Chris may take it to mean "God literally showed this job/woman to me in a dream."

Chris has discussed several of his more important or influential dreams in many of his comics, chats, and videos. There may be a great many more that he's never felt like sharing with the outside world, so this section is by no means comprehensive, but it should at least provide a basic overview of the sort of prophecies Chris believes that he receives.

===The Crystal dream===

By far the most significant of Chris's dreams is this one, where he saw himself married to an unspecified woman and raising a daughter named [[Crystal Weston Chandler (daughter)|Crystal]]. This represents the genesis of his [[Love Quest]], or at any rate his favorite excuse for it. When he's not willing to admit that what he really wants is a replacement [[Barb|mother]], Chris claims that his search for a sweetheart is intended to fulfill God's will and produce his prophesied daughter.

Chris, always one to share too much personal information during conversations with strangers, sometimes brings up the Crystal dream while introducing himself to people. In one of his [[Facebook_messages#Christy_Backe|Facebook conversations]], he sent a new contact the following question: "Do you know any 18-25-year old single women who might like me? I would appreciate any help I can get in finding the one who would be my Sweetheart, and help me realize my dream of me fathering a pretty daughter named Crystal Weston Chandler."

For some time, the many trolls following Chris operated according to the belief that the dream took place when he was around 21 years old, right around the formal beginning of the Love Quest. During the [[Father Call]], however, Chris very clearly stated that he had the dream when he was in elementary school, between seven and nine years of age. In that description of the dream, he also noted that he "had, like, an office job" in his future life, an embellishment that smacks of Chris attempting to impress [[Kacey]]'s father.

This statement, however, predates the Father Call. In an [[Katie_Bay_E-mails_3#7.2F28.2F09|email sent to Katie Bay]] near the end of July 2009, Chris used this dream as an excuse to not get a job. Specifically, he expressed annoyance that he does not know what kind of job he has in the dream, only that he is working in an office building, his daughter is present, and shortly after the dream begins [[Twin Falling Towers|the building starts to collapse]] and he needs to run away with Crystal.

Chris's dreams about his future daughter are at least partially responsible for his refusal to date black women. In [[Mailbag 35]], he explained, "I never saw a black woman being my wife in any of my dreams of me and my white baby daughter."

===The Grim Reaper dream===
In a dream some time before 2005, Chris met the [[Wikipedia:Death (personification)|Grim Reaper]]:

Chris found this comforting, but was enraged with the Grim Reaper (the ultimate [[trolls|troll]]) when he took Bob's soul in [[2011]].

===The Blanca dream===
During the late summer and early fall of [[2008]], Chris wildly ping-ponged back and forth between a number of potential [[trolls|sweethearts]], including [[PandaHalo]], [[Sarah Jackson]], and [[Blanca Weiss]]. On September 29, however, he finally settled on Blanca, having supposedly experienced a dream where he met her in the lobby of a [[Charlottesville]] hotel.

Chris describes the dream in some detail in his [[Blanca_Emails,_September_2008#Chris_dreams_of_Blanca|e-mails to Blanca]], as well as the [[Chris's Letter to Blanca|letter]] he sent to her along with his [[medallions]].

He also mentioned the dream on his [[The OFFICIAL Sonichu & Rosechu Blog|blog]], claiming that "[[God and Jesus]] have revealed to me the name of my True, Honest Sweetheart-To-Be." Three weeks later, the object of Chris's divinely-inspired love dumped him (after dumping his beloved medallions in [[pickle]] brine).

===The PandaHalo dream===
Although breaking up with Blanca temporarily sent Chris [[Captain's Log, Stardate October 21st, 2008|crashing into slumber]], he recovered from the trauma quickly enough with the aid of his dear friend PandaHalo. By mid-November, he was having wet dreams about her and sharing the details in their communications, which Panda promptly passed on to her fellow trolls on [[IRC (26 November 2008)|IRC]]:

We talked for a bit, but then you and I, we made out, then got naked and lost our virgin ways to each other. If this particular dream also happened to be a prophecy, GodJesus must have gotten his wires crossed. Chris never met Panda in person, and had more or less gotten over her long before she allegedly died early in 2009.

===The Ivy dream===
In [[Episode 19]], Chris recounted a vision where two-thirds of the Holy Trinity told him, in the most explicit possible terms, that [[Ivy]] was destined to be his one true love, that his enemies would be defeated, and that his [[biological clock]] would soon be conveniently reset. None of these prophecies came true.

===The Watery Maze Dream===

Another one of Chris's wet dreams, in the literal sense this time, involves a vision of encountering his promised sweetheart in a "watery maze." Chris mentioned this recurring dream in his [[Quizzes#Christian Weston Chandler Quiz|quiz about himself]], although he didn't offer very many additional details.

[[Liquid Chris]] took advantage of this bit of information to mock his rival in one of his [[For Chris|videos]], declaring that he and his girlfriend [[Kacey]] "are going to swim through a watery maze and make passionate love to each other and [[Captain's Log, Stardate April 28th, 2009|it's going to be awesome]]."

Chris eventually immortalized this dream in a [[RomanticLabyrinth|terrifying animation]], showing us a little more of what it's about. The details were unsurprising: in a maze full of water, Chris meets an unspecified woman and has sex with her. The end.

Chris was especially eager to keep this animation on [[Flipnote Hatena]], having uploaded it a grand total of ''six times'', despite its assorted violations of the website's policies. Though the site's moderators deleted it a number of times, he doggedly kept re-uploading it. Judging by the monologue after the dream ("If only I knew who you are in reality...") Chris believes that the [[Lovely Weather|"LOVELY WOMAN"]] is a real boyfriend-free girl somewhere, perhaps one who suffers from a recurring nightmare in which she is raped by an obese manchild. By putting his sex fantasy where everyone could see it, Chris may have been attempting to contact the non-existent woman.

===Sticky Dream===
Due to the combined threat of his somewhat [[Chris and English|slippery grip on language]] and his peculiar mindset on sex, Chris is noticeably confused about basic sexual terminology; for example, in [[Ivy Q&A#Threats|Ivy Q&A]] it's mentioned that Chris told Ivy that he had a "sticky dream" about her. When Ivy asked if he meant a wet dream, he replied, "No, that's when you pee yourself, silly!"

==Minor dreams==
===The Sonic on Game Boy dream===
In the [[Song of Christian]], Chris claims to have experienced a dream involving a [[Sonic the Hedgehog]] game for Nintendo's Game Boy handheld. According to the [[Sonichu Chronicles]], it took place in June 1997. This, he says, is what inspired the "Sonic Dumps Sega, Joins Nintendo" cover story on his [[Homemade Nintendo Power magazine|homemade ''Nintendo Power'' magazine]], as well as the many half-assed knockoff Sonic game concepts inside of it. He also wrote a letter to the real ''Nintendo Power'' describing the dream.

This is one dream of Chris's that actually came true, after a fashion. While Nintendo never made a Sonic game for the original Game Boy, ''[[Wikipedia:Sonic Advance|Sonic Advance]]'' hit the Game Boy Advance at the tail end of 2001. It was one of the very first Sonic games for a non-Sega hardware platform, seeing release around the same time as ''Sonic Adventure 2: Battle'' for Nintendo's GameCube. In typical Chris fashion, he announced that he "pretty much foretold that outcome" in a [[The Sonichu Chronicles|PowerPoint presentation]].

===The Pamela dream===
During his chats with (someone he believed to be) [[Vanessa Hudgens]], Chris cited a dream that taught him a useful moral lesson. Supposedly, during the long months of the [[Megan Saga]], Chris had a dream where he "had to choose" between his True and Honest love for [[Megan Schroeder]] and his temporary lust for [[Chris and television|TV star Pamela Anderson]]. "I stuck by my [[Chris and religion|morals]] and went for Megan," Chris explained. "And because the same is being applied between you and [[Ivy]], I am going to remain strong and true and stay with Ivy."

Given that he never got any from Megan, of course, in retrospect the sensible choice would have been to go for Pamela, a la Borat. Here's to the path not taken.

===The Patti-chan dream===
Some time after the death of his beloved dog [[Patti Chandler|Patti]], Chris had a dream (or multiple dreams) reassuring him that Patti was all right and living comfortably in the presence of God. Chris discussed this in his [[Chris's Plea to Clyde Cash|Plea to Clyde Cash]] from [[January 2009]], hoping that Clyde would follow his example, "get over" the death of [[Ryan Cash]], and stop cruelly tormenting him. For some reason, Clyde chose to ignore Chris's advice.

===The acid factory dream===

In [[Mailbag 39]], responding to a question that attempted to reason with him about his hatred of [[Asperchu]], Chris dove off along a tangent and described a particularly picturesque nightmare that mixes his hatred of [[tobacky]], his now non-hatred of [[alcohol]], and his [[Chris and race|racism]].

Chris has a habit of bringing up traumatic experiences from his past on the least provocation, usually as a way of fishing for sympathy. For instance, during the [[Father Call]], he went on the defensive by suddenly changing the subject to the incident where he was allegedly abused at [[Nathanael Greene Elementary School|elementary school]].

===Dreaming of death===
Chris has apparently dreamed on multiple occasions of the instant that precedes death. In his [[ChrisChanSonichu_and_WikiSysop_correspondence#Size_does_not_matter._.28CCS.29|conversations]] with the Sysop of [[CWCipedia]], while complaining about various objectionable advertisements on "his" site, he delivered the following bizarre non sequitur:

Not only is it the Most Horrifying Thing Ever, but I am [[Chris and English|LOOOONG NOT READY FOR IT YET]].|This statement offered without comment.}}

Exactly why Chris chose to draw a connection between the moment of a human being's physical death and the moment of a Windows PC crashing is uncertain. This might be because the error alert that comes up after a critical system error in PCs is colloquially known as the "Blue Screen of Death," which literal-minded Chris would associate with a real near-death experience.

===High school dreams===
During his [[Emily Date Conversation Transcript|date with Emily]], Chris mentioned recurring dreams about his days at [[Manchester High School]]. Given that his high school years were the last time Chris had anything like real friends or a fulfilling social life, it's no surprise that he often revisits them in his dreams. He describes the dreams in a very wistful, nostalgic tone: "I get to see all my, all my old s-, c-, all my old friends...there."

Chris also added that Megan Schroeder sometimes appears in his dreams of high school, even though he didn't meet her until well after he graduated and returned home to [[Ruckersville]]. Clearly, his unconscious mind is cobbling together an amalgam of all his fondest memories.

===Prince dream===
According to an [[August 2010]] e-mail to [[Jackie]], Chris dreamt that he was in a Prince and Pauper situation, in which he switched lives with a Prince. He called it "confusing and [[stress]]-filled" and said he was surrounded with people who had no understanding of him, and was upset with the Prince's [[abusive babysitter|babysitter]] for calling Yoshi a "[[homos|homosexual]] icon."<ref>http://www.sonichu.com/cwcki/Jackie_E-mails_11</ref> Chris offered an explanation for this [[Random-access humor|otherwise baffling]] scenario, claiming it was an analogy for his brief stint as [[Junior Jenkins|the prince of the trolls]] and his discomfort with the homosexual tendencies of [[Trollin Train|his new caretakers]].

===Father dreams===
Since [[Robert Chandler|his father]] passed away on 6 September 2011, Chris has indicated that he regularly dreams about him, and hints that these are messages from the spirit world. In a private [[March 2012 Facebook Posts#Still Feeling Lonely II|Facebook post]] in [[March 2012]], Chris wrote, "I see and converse with him in my dreams," while his mother "feels his presence in the house." In 2014, in his [[OKCupid]] profile, when faced with the [[List of OkCupid Answers#2014 Answers--LevelUpKing|question]], "Have you ever had a ghost or spirit around you and you could feel it?," Chris replied yes, and added, "My late father appears often in my dreams."

In a [[Announcement 20160709|video]] uploaded in [[July 2016]], Chris reiterates that his father "comes visits me in my dreams nearly every night."

===School bus dreams===
In [[October 2013]], Chris fished for pity from his gal-pal [[Rebeckah Bentley E-mails#Worthless, lack-of-purpose premature death case|Rebeckah]] by saying that all the [[stress]] from family obligations, the trolls, money issues, and paranoia were giving him recurring nightmares involving "school bus trips resulting in driving off the high freeway edges, flying to dive towards a cliff, water, another road or whatever." As if Chris didn't already have enough negative associations with [[Manchester High School#The Bus|school buses]].

===Yahtzee dream===
In a [[January 2014]] [[January_2014_Facebook_Posts#Yahtzee_Dream|Facebook]] post, Chris describes a dream he had in which he played a worded version of Yahtzee. As he describes it, "there was a predetermined crossword pattern on cardboard pieces and a set list of words. And the seven dice had letters and asterisks for blank squares instead of dots for numbers. You roll the dice and match the letters out of them in a word, and you match them up in that cross word. After completing one word, then when you complete another that intercepts the first, that's when you yell 'Yahtzee!'" Unlike Chris's other dreams, he did not seem to read too much into this one.

===Strangler swallower dream===

On 27 [[December 2015]], Chris documented a dream where Marty McFly informed him he swallowed a "strangler". He had no comment on the meaning of the dream.

===Mother dreams===

A [[August 2016 Facebook posts#IncestuousThoughts|Facebook post]] on the 10th of August revealed that Chris has had incestuous dreams about his [[Barb|mother]]. He seems to believe that "everyone" has these sorts of dreams. Fortunately, he would later clarify that this dream in particular is not prophetic and he has never had sex with Barb, although he doesn't mind if other mothers and sons have [[Chris and sex|hanky-panky.]]

==Typifying Chris's dreams==
Just like those of real people, Chris's dreams can be split into some distinct categories which can tell us more about his motivations, his fears, and his state of mind at the time he dreamt them. It should be noted that the dreams Chris has seen fit to discuss are no doubt the ones which have affected him emotionally and which he thus considers worthy of discussion. It is highly likely that on most nights he simply dreams his Aspie dreams about day-to-day events, just like we all do. Considering what Chris's life is like, these are probably not worth consideration by anyone.

===Wish-fulfillment Dreams===
Freud stated that all dreams were a kind of wish fulfillment. While this has been discussed ''ad nauseam'' and expanded upon by many psychologists in the years since, this represents a good jumping-off point for studying some of Chris's dreams. As one example, Chris's dog died, and he wanted to know that she was happy, so he dreamt that she was in heaven. This is simple enough (though it does raise questions about [[Chris and death|Chris's ability to work through his grief]]). Also related to this are dreams when he is back at high school, in dumbass classes where he wasn't affected by the cruelties of real life, surrounded by [[gal pal|gal-pals]] and still svelte enough to fit into his Ash Ketchum costume. The anachronistic appearance of Megan in these dreams serves to confirm that they represent mental wish fulfillment on his part. Chris wants to go back to high school, and his mind allows him to do so.

===Aspirational dreams===
Chris's dream about Crystal, and those he attributes to the influence of God, represent a far less common and somewhat more problematic type of dream--one which seems to create aspirations in the dreamer. These dreams are extremely rare, in many cases happening only a handful of times in an entire lifetime (according to Jung). Chris's dream about Crystal, considering it happened at such an early age, likely coincided with a major period of psychological growth in his life (what little we know about Chris's life at this time may support this notion), which would have inflated an otherwise small thought in his mind to a highly emotional aspiration. To have remembered this dream for so long suggests a feeling of bliss or enormous happiness at the time of dreaming, which he now associates with the content of the dream. Crystal therefore represents less an actual wish for a daughter (as Chris doesn't know shit about raising children and is too lazy and self-centered to do it well) and more a desire to return to the state of happiness he felt in his sleep, likely at a moment of extreme personal catharsis within his waking life.

===Nightmares===
Given Chris's [[Parody|total lack of imagination]], his nightmares seem shockingly vivid. The particulars of what they represent are a job for a psychologist of a level above that of a [[Rocky Shoemaker|church counselor]] (although the acid factory dream is simple enough to understand--Chris hates [[alcohol]] and [[tobacky]]), but their apparent muffled severity offers us some hope that within the stagnating mass of lard and stupidity that is Chris, there is a voice of reason struggling to escape like a drowning man screaming madly for the surface. If Chris ever discovers the core of the turmoil indicated by his nightmares and what they represent, it would very likely destroy his perspective on the world and he may finally continue on the path towards psychological maturity.

Chris and his family have had at least seven '''cats''' over the years. Chris regularly [[Vivitheg's AIM chat|slips in their shit]]. It is not known whether the Chandlers actually own the cats, or if the cats were unfortunate enough to get lost within the piles of junk and were therefore unable to find their way to the outside world. Pollo, Lucy, and Sorbet are the only three of the cats confirmed to still be alive as of [[2016]]. The status of the others is currently unknown, with the exception of Scamper, who perished in [[Destruction Of Chris's House|the fire]] that destroyed the Chandler home in [[2014]]. Chris got Sorbet, the newest cat, in September of 2016.

'''Lucy''' is a cat named after Lucille Ball, the other star of ''[[I Love Lucy]]''. It is not known when she became a pet of the Chandlers, although it can be said for certain that she was a resident of 14 Branchland Court by 25 [[December 2004]], as she appears in [[ChandlerFamilyChristmas2004#Part 1|ChandlerFamilyChristmas Part 1]].

Chris once greeted Lucy during a voice chat with [[Sarah May]], before Barbara told him to get off (before she goes off).<ref>[http://www.megavideo.com/?d=ZTK7XM3N]</ref>

Lucy was confirmed to be well and alive as of [[2013]], thanks to a status posted by Chris that included a current photo of Lucy in the great [[2013 Imgur Leak|2013 Facebook leak]]. Lucy survived the 2014 house fire along with Chris himself, Barb, and [[Clover and Snoopy]].<ref>[[January 2014 Facebook Posts#FIRE!]]</ref>

Chris posted a Facebook status on November 24, 2015 revealing Pollo, whom he introduces as a "new friend" for Lucy, confirming that she was still alive as of this date. This makes Lucy over ten years old, as well as the Chandlers' second longest-lasting known pet, after [[Patti Chandler|Patti]]. Lucy made an appearance in Chris's "[[Seasons Greetings]]" video on December 13, 2015. Many people pointed out the "please let me die" expression she appeared to have on her face. She sat in Chris's lap throughout the video, but hilariously got down the instant Chris asked her if she loved him. Unlike Kitty, Lucy appears to be rather docile while still showing her dislike of Chris.

'''Pollo''' was introduced to the Chandler Household on November 24. Pollo [ˈpo.ʝo] is [[Spanish]] for "chicken", although it is also a shortening of "Apollo". Chris pronounces his name "pole oh", probably in an attempt to sound British, although 'pollo' is pronounced the same way in England as it is in the rest of the English-speaking world (Also unintentionally referencing the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polo_(confectionery) British mints]] of the same name). His existence was revealed to the world by Chris via a [[Facebook]] status, which also confirmed that, as of November 24, 2015, Lucy is still alive as well. Pollo was referred to in the status as "Lucy's new friend." Very little is known about Pollo at this time, though he appears to already be an adult. As the [[Rental House Tour]] audio showed us, [[Clover and Snoopy|Chris's dogs]] are very unfriendly around strangers, so only time will tell if Pollo ends up getting killed or not.

In the "[[Seasons Greetings]]" video, uploaded on December 13, 2015, Chris states that Pollo is an outside cat. This may prove to be unfortunate, as cats who are allowed outside statistically have shorter lifespans than those who strictly live indoors. However, given the conditions indoors, it's actually possible that he may defy such statistics and have a better chance at survival outside than in amongst the piles of junk, where he is constantly at risk of being crushed by falling objects or being torn apart by the unsocialised beagles.

Pollo makes his first appearance on video in [[Lesbian Sleepover Party Announcement.]] He currently seems to be in good health despite the hardships he is facing, and even nuzzles Chris a few times, suggesting that he may actually be the one who is looked after the most out of the incumbent Chandler Pets.

Pollo made his second appearance in [[Chris's Specimen Sample]], still showing affection towards Chris. Viewers have noted the particularly large and loud collar he wears, and the fact that Chris attempts to get him to look at the camera, against Pollo's will.

===Sorbet===

On 19 September 2016, Chris [[September 2016 Facebook posts#Another new cat|announced on Facebook]] that he has a new cat, which he named Sorbet ("sor-BAY") because the cat's orange color reminded him of orange sorbet, a frozen fruit juice dessert similar to sherbet. Sorbet was part of a litter of four cats whom the Chandlers had been feeding for several months prior to September, 2016. Two of the cats "went elsewhere," though Sorbet and his sister (whom Chris called "Orange Cream" because of her orange and white colors) remained. It currently is not known whether or not Chris has taken in both cats.

Half of Sorbet's left rear paw is missing, appearing to have been cut off. Chris found an inexpensive vet to treat the wound and allow Sorbet to be able to walk better. Chris is currently keeping him in his bedroom, with Lucy there to keep him company. Chris has stated that the donations he had been receiving from [[fans]] has helped him to better afford Sorbet's operation.

Like Pollo, Sorbet seems to be considerably more friendly towards Chris, and seems quite happy with being held. ''Unlike'' Pollo, Chris actually pronounces the name correctly ("sor-bay").

Sorbet makes a brief cameo in [[Eid, Pmurt, Eid]], where the camera angle towards the end of the video shows that he is being held by Chris as he kicks a [[Transformers]] toy in a fit of [[Chris and anger|tard rage]] over [[Pmurt|Donald Trump]] winning the Presidential election.

On 19 [[May 2017]] Sorbet wandered off and was hit by a car:

Uneven pupil dilation is a classic sign of [[Wikipedia:Traumatic brain injury|traumatic brain injury]], so Sorbet may not be long for this world. Fortunately however, Chris [[May_2017_Facebook_posts#Sorbet back from the vet, recovering|did later confirm that]] Sorbet returned home and is presently recovering from his injuries after a short stay at the vet, having been cleaned up and confirmed to still have his sight and hearing. According to Chris, Kitty was a good friend of [[Patti Chandler|Patti]], the Chandler dog.<ref name="ReferenceA"/> Since Patti died on 27 [[June 2006]],<ref name="Eulogy">[[Chris emails 2004-2006#September 2006]]</ref> this would mean that Kittty was already a pet of Chris for some time prior to that date. There is no official word as to the cause of the fire, but the person who leaked the above fire report documents claims that it was caused by a spark from an extension cord run through the bathroom door, the plastic coating of which had worn away.<ref>http://cwckiforums.com/threads/fire-report-docs.4849/#post-337450</ref> Chris admitted to [[Catherine]] that he was using an extension cord in the bathroom to plug in a Keurig coffee maker located in an adjacent room. The cord was looped over the top of the door, and the friction caused by the motion of the door had abraded the cord, starting the fire. Chris claimed that the brewer was off when the fire started, although he admitted that [[Honor roll|it wasn't unplugged]]. Why the Chandlers had an extension cord running out of the bathroom to plug in a coffee maker is anyone's guess, but it probably has something to do with Barb's hoarding. It is worth noting that in [[Tour of Chris's House II|Chris's recent video tour of his home]], coffee cups are spotted around his bathroom sink, suggesting that the bathroom has become the primary source of water. Said video also shows the blatant fire hazard that was his home, with piles of paper and plastic inside a barely standing structure of dry wood.

==Victims and survivors==
Chris reports that he, his mother, and his pets Clover, Snoopy and Lucy escaped the blaze unharmed. Unfortunately, one of his cats was killed in the blaze, and was discovered by the cleaners. Chris buried the cat in the backyard. It was initially unknown whether it was Scamper or Kitty, until [[CatKnight Interview 3|February 2016]] when Chris confirmed [[Chandler_Cats#Scamper|Scamper]] was the one who had died due to smoke inhalation. It's unknown what happened to the other cat before the fire, but it is likely that this death gives Chris nowhere near as much pain as the death of [[Patti Chandler|Patti]] did.

According to the news report, one of the firefighters suffered minor, unspecified injuries while putting out the fire. Considering how difficult it had been for Chris to navigate his junk-ridden hallways, it is likely that, in the rush to fight the fire, one firefighter may have tripped over the clutter or initiated an avalanche of [[navy]]-coated bric-a-bracs. Chris told Catherine and Al that firefighters were unable to enter the house through either door because of the hoard, and had to climb in through windows.

=== Firefighters ===
Unlike the local police departments of Greene County, Chris has historically been ambivalent towards firefighters. However, in the aftermath of the house fire, Chris and his mother both apparently blame the "greedy firefighters" for the absence of some of their personal possessions (which included a cheap knock-off painting and Barb's purse), effectively accusing them of theft. This information was revealed in an [[Misc_E-mails#Greedy_Firefighter|email]] leak after the incident. Insinuating that one of the brave and selfless firefighters who saved his home openly [[Chris and his Ego|stole from him]], especially when there were no grounds whatsoever for his implications, was a new low even for Chris. Once again, Chris showed complete ingratitude for anyone who tries to help him. Only time will tell if the Ruckersville Fire Department will again play a major part in Chris's pathetic life.

==Extent of destruction==

It can be rightfully assumed that the Chandlers escaped with little more than the clothes on their backs. Chris wrote that he was able to save his wallet, Barb's medication, some clothes and shoes, and his iPhone (as shown in [[Brushfire Video|a later video uploaded through YouTube Capture]]). Soon after the fire, Chris was also observed on [[Miiverse]], not to mention he eventually bought ''Super Mario Maker'', heavily implying that he managed to save his Wii U and possibly at least one of his [[3DS]]'s. He could have also acquired another Wii U, but this is unlikely. He was also seen on his PSN, showing that he either still had his [[PS3]], or that he promptly acquired another. He even had his old [[PSEye]].

In a [[Reaching Out to Game Developers.|video]] uploaded on 19 [[November 2015]], Chris shows off his [[Scrapbook of Fail]], confirming the fire did not destroy all of the original [[Sonichu]] comics and artwork.

Chris stated on Facebook that everything else was "considered physically lost." However, he later revealed to Catherine that his mother had rented a storage unit to hold items which had been recovered from the house. Al and Catherine also noted that the rental house was piled high with boxes and trash. As is typical of hoarders, Barb probably decided that much that was burned or water-damaged was actually salvageable.

A troll visited the house two days after the fire, and found that while the exterior structure of the house appeared largely intact, there was apparently sufficient damage to the roof that it had to be covered over with plastic cladding. Some of the exterior wood paneling had also warped and twisted, presumably due to being near where the fire was burning at its strongest, though due to the house's exact layout being unknown, it's hard to say where exactly this was. The house's windows had been boarded over (as is standard in house fires of this kind), making it impossible to get any exact details on the house's interior condition.

It is unclear to what extent Chris's personal possessions survived the flames. The [[Lego]] [[Manchester High School|High School]] escaped only partially melted, and he was able to use some of the smoky pieces to reconstruct the structure. He also employed his creative [[geinus]] to build a [[ReBrick#Billboard Person from Melting Chaos|surprisingly-original sculpture]] out of the damaged pieces. Two copies of his [[Manchester High School|high school]] yearbooks survived, albeit with smoke and water damage. At least one of his [[Pixelblocks]] creations and a [[medallion]] survived. In reply to a comment on his [[eBay]] auction of his autographed photos, Chris claimed that the [[Chris and fashion|"Classic" shirt]] was lost in the flames; however, three years later, he [[eBay#The Classic shirt|revealed]] the shirt had in fact survived. He also confirmed that his Nintendo GameCube was a goner as well. No word yet on [[the Wall of Originals]], Chris's other [[Chris and art|art]], the [[Crumple-Lope]], the [[Megatron pistol]], the [[Sailor Moon Poster of Fail|''Sailor Moon'' poster]], the portal to [[CWCville]], the [[Attraction Sign]]s, the [[Heart Torch of Fail|Heart Torch]], and the [[Plush Breasts]]. Large numbers of schoolbooks and documents also survived the fire, but were thrown away once the renovations began.

Over his year in exile, Chris bought multiple Lego sets to replace those lost. He also bought uncut ''Sailor Moon'' DVDs to replace the ones he gifted to Megan some seven years prior.

During the video [[Lesbian Sleepover Party Announcement.]], one of the oldest Christorical artifacts, the [[Sonic the Hedgehog]] totem/figure from Chris's [[Graduation]], was shown to have survived the fire.

==Aftermath and reaction==
In one of the most interesting and significant events regarding [[Chris]]'s <s>fan</s>trollbase, a care package was put together from online donations, initially pooling a few hundred dollars in a matter of hours. The total amount in donations was worth almost a thousand American dollars<ref>https://kiwifar.ms/threads/fire-relief-fund.2855/page-12#post-169127</ref> and consisted of basic necessities with a few amenities thrown in (markers, paints and modeling stuff).

After being sent an incident occurred when a [[weening|troll]] used the tracking number that was posted on the Internet to have the package returned midway. The package was eventually held at a post office in [[Charlottesville]] and withdrew by the Chandlers. Chris made a polite [[Facebook]] post about it in which he expressed his distaste for the [[CWCki]]. A note was sent alongside the goods:

Your Sonichu friends have heard about the house fire, and to help you out we put together a care package as CWC as we could! In a few days, 34 donated and collected over $900 towards getting this stuff out to you!

I could not spend all the money collected, so I’ve also included a money order for $500 that you should give to your mother. She can cash it out and buy whatever you guys need to keep chugging. I know you often feel that life is hopeless, but there’s good in the world and in people. I hope this package helps you see that. No person on the Internet can ever take away your right to be happy. You must find reasons to enjoy life, even when there are enemies trying to bring you down.

I’ve included some arts and crafts to help you take your mind off things. I think your fans would really like to see what you come up with, because it’s been a very long time since we’ve seen anything new from you. Try to create something that makes you happy and that you can be proud of.

==The Return of Chris's House==
On 3 [[December 2014]], Chris announced that 14 Branchland Court was being reconstructed, and by [[January 2015]] he was safely moved back in. Between those dates, however, he was forced to briefly stay at [[26 December 2014|Albemarle Regional Jail]]. Chris's newer videos show small areas of the now-renovated house - Chris's room, whilst still full of boxes of clutter and other things, has been repainted in magnolia and has had the wooden cladding removed, making the room look much lighter and less claustrophobic, for example.
