An interesting thought, but I struggle to find it really convincing yet. I find it easy to think of Chris as having poor concept of gender distinction. Do we know if Bob was ever working during Chris' childhood? It does sound from some of the articles as if Bob has always been retired, but it is difficult to tell. Chris has never had the classic, cliche "Man is the breadwinner while woman minds the home". If the house is any example, Barbara is horrible at looking after the home, and Bob has just enough old school in him to view the housework as the 'womans duty'. Chris' entire knowledge of what makes up man and woman is "Men are mean to me" (Bob has no hesitation to talk down to him, and I imagine he was bullied in school by physically superior male students), and "Women look after me" (his 'gal pals' and his coddling mother). I have little difficulty in imagining Chris views women as the better gender than men, and Chris is always willing to be on the winning side.

Also: "This, of course, implies that Chris interacts with the characters on a daily basis and is constantly in contact with them. One could only shudder at the manchild speaking into thin air, asking an invisible Sonichu how his family is doing."
Honestly while I find that image hilarious, I find it easier to believe that it's more of an escapism dream-world than Chris picking up his mobile and thinking it's Sonichu on the other end. The city of Cwcville is his perfect little escapism from his real life, it's a place where he is in control, where he wins, where he is loved. Hell, one of the reasons he probably thinks of himself as so kind is the fact that he matches everyone up perfectly in Cwcville so they all get to go home and have sex.

The reason this is important is because in the face of so much evidence to the contrary, not even Chris can believe he is in control of the real world. So when faced with situations like "No Chris, you can't keep my character, I'm taking her back", he will claim that in his world she doesn't want to leave.

Of course, this then goes into somewhat more concerning issues, like the idea that to Chris, other people are potentially as 'real' as cartoon characters. That could be because he has little ability to distinguish between fact and fiction, it could be because he views cartoon characters as things that must be real because they walk and talk (and apparently to him his drawings are photo-real), or even because he has so little ability to empathise with real people, they're as fake as cartoon characters appear to be.

:You may have a point on the Simonla issue. If we're to take the simplest explanation (Chris is a selfish liar), it's probably another spur-of-the moment excuse to Evan, worded poorly because he assumes the latter is as childish/retarded as he is and will buy the argument. On the other hand, Chris has demonstrated repeated behavior showing that he believes his fantasy world is real. Also unaddressed is how Chris is not quite aware that he is the mouthpiece for his creations. By saying "Sonichu and Rosechu can go justify themselves", Chris demonstrates that he thinks that without the intervening factor of himself, his creations will go tell off Clyde and Miyamoto-sama.
:This goes beyond pure escapism, where CWCville is a place where he is in control of everything; this goes to show you that he feels CWCville and its related denizens are not only completely autonomous and able to interact with the outside world, but subject to the alterations and damages of others. Which is why feels he must "correct" the others' actions that threaten his idyllic paradise. It's not simply a matter of "fuck you trolls, I'll just act as if did nothing to CWCville," he has to rectify these slanderous mockeries in his pages, and additionally assure his readers (read: himself) that no major damage was done.
:The other point of "other people as real as cartoons" brings us right back to his sociopathy. Other people are merely as cartoon characters to be manipulated in the grand narrative of Chris's life. As [[Excel Saga|Great Director Chandler]], he believes other people will bend to his desires solely due to that "fact". He not only wants CWCville under his control, but also the real world. This squares nicely with his fear of losing control.
:One more revealing thing: Chris confessed in the comic pages that in high school, he would read R.L. Stine novels and imagine Sonic characters to be in their place. (This was probably well before Sonic degenerated into a recolor shitfest.) This shows that he can't even relate to ''fantasy'' humans on the account of being human (and not his own creation), and must imagine them as cartoon furries. (This might also explain why in the [[Giant Penis Comic]], he and Ivy fucking in their Chu forms... as well why he imagined himself in his Chu form in his own sexual fantasies with some other woman he was cybering that I can't name at the moment.) Coupled with his (possibly feigned possibly genuine) concern for the welfare of Asperchu ("He won't like having da Assburgers!) and Wild ("He'll be left all by his lonsome without Simonla!"), this shows that Chris is capable of empathy - for anthropomorphic cartoon characters, not humans. Or then again, maybe not: He might just be confusing his own selfish desires for concern for these furry creatures, like he does with real people all the time. That might explain the Simonla/Wild thing, which amounts to a control issue, but not the Asperchu/Mitch thing.

[[Chris]] is a citizen of '''the United States of America''', a democratic republic nation in the western hemisphere. The nation is considered the only remaining [[China|superpower]] since the end of the cold war, and is a leading economic, political, and cultural force in the world.

Chris's stance on the nation he lives in is inconsistent at best. While he claims to be a good citizen who loves and respects his country, his [[Twin Falling Towers|actions]] are often [[Chris and Hypocrisy|very obviously]] contrary to these claims.
==Politics==

At a glance, Chris's sense of politics seem very inconsistent; on some issues, he takes a very conservative stance, on others a very liberal one. That said, the quagmire of political inclinations becomes much simpler once you realize that Chris doesn't vote on what's good for America, but on what's good for Chris. As such, he's against gay marriage because he hates da [[homos]], supported [[Obama]] because he saw himself in him (before he accused him of [[Chris and race|selling out the country to brown-skinned people]]), and [[Mailbag 20#Chris on abortion|supports abortion]] because he thinks it might make girls more inclined to fuck him.

Chris proclaims himself to be a "moderate". While typically this simply means not having extreme or overly partisan political beliefs, he takes this as an general-purpose response to all questions about politics, including ones that have no defined middle path. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the [[Mailbags]], where Chris will often dodge giving his opinion on issues ''every'' voter should have an opinion on, simply because ''he has no opinion.''

==Understanding of government==
Chris's grasp of how the government works, much like Chris's grasp on [[reality]] as a whole, is shaky at best. One of the most telling examples of this is his ignorant stance on taxation and [[Monthly tugboat|welfare]]. Because Chris is jobless, he pays no taxes and presumably files no tax returns. However, he still thinks of himself as a contributing member of society, because he pays ''sales taxes'' on the massive amount of crap he buys.

It's highly unlikely that Chris understands the massive discrepancy between the amount the government pays him and the amount he gives back via sales tax. Chris also fails to understand the fact that sales taxes are collected by the state, and his welfare comes from the federal government.

Chris also seems to have difficulty understanding what the true purpose of government actually is. The U.S. government's duty is to follow the will of the majority while respecting the rights of the minority, to protect its citizens from danger, and to ensure the continued prosperity of the nation. When asked hypothetical questions about what he would do if he were running things, he proposes bizarre sweeping laws that single out [[Homos|certain minorities]], and force people into relationships whether they want to be in one or not.

The fact that this would not help the country at all, and in fact could possibly destroy society as we know it, does not factor into Chris's thinking. By his logic, since he wants a girlfriend, ''everybody'' must want a girlfriend, and if everybody wants a girlfriend, the government needs to make it happen. Over the years, Chris has proposed a large number of laws, even sending letters to President [[Barack Obama]] demanding legislation against [[trolls]] and [[homos]]. This is completely useless for two reasons: one, the President of the United States has much more pressing concerns than making an insane manchild in Ruckersville, VA, happy, and two, the US President ''can't make laws''.

Oddly, the closest analog for how Chris views his government is how Chris views his [[religion]]. He treats both the US government and God as things that can be completely ignored unless he has a personal problem, at which point they should immediately step in and help. He believes that both have a deeply vested interest in himself, often at the expense of everybody else. God should damn [[Clyde Cash]], and the FBI should arrest him. It doesn't matter that Clyde hasn't done anything the FBI would be terribly interested in; Chris is mad at him, and that's all that matters.

== Chris on patriotism ==

As Chris likes to point out, he is a “true American” and a patriot. He's very concerned with his image as a patriot, and never misses an opportunity to emphasize it. These attempts, however, often feel forced or out of place. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the Clarksville Address:

Chris's battle against ED really doesn't have anything to do with America or patriotism; he just knows it's good to be patriotic, and that means he's the good guy. Thus, patriotic symbolism is thrown in, without really even considering whether or not it makes sense in context. Chris is patriotic simply because he believes that's what's expected of him. His attempts to prove his patriotism are undermined, however, by his [[Twin Falling Towers|tendency to mock national tragedies]] and [[Chris and music|complete inability to sing even the most well-known patriotic songs.]] If anything, Chris's attempts to prove himself a "true American" end up having the ''opposite'' effect.

This use of the patriotism card isn't limited to the USA, however. He co-opts Scottish and Irish national sentiment in his [[Tito Got No Luck Against We Brits, Irish and Scots!|kilt-clad tirade against Surfshack Tito]] and attempts to use the fact that February 24 is Mexico's Flag Day to justify [[Christian Love Day|turning his own birthday into a holiday]]. In the [[Sonichu (comic)|''Sonichu'' comic series]], [[Chris]] has portrayed himself as more than a [[Obesity|fat]] [[autism|autistic]] slob who refuses to work. Within the comic universe, '''Chris''' is the mayor of [[CWCville]], "father" of hero [[Sonichu (character)|Sonichu]] and beloved by all ''despite'' failing almost as much as in real-life.

Despite the sub-episodes ostensibly featuring Real Chris, he can't seem to keep from evoking superpowers and plot contrivances.

Chris depicts himself as mayor of his fictional town, [[CWCville]]. Unlike real life, Comic Chris is popular, good-looking, and surrounded by women (in reality, [[trolls]], [[Gal pal|gal-pals]] who [[Megan Schroeder|hate him]], or fictional creations like [[Allison Amber]]) He also has the ability to change himself into [[Chris-chan Sonichu]] and use all the powers of the Electric Hedgehog [[Pokemon]] at will (thus rendering Sonichu and company completely irrelevant).

Any characteristics Comic Chris possess stems from Chris's attempt to portray himself as the lovable loser type of character, known from any generic romantic comedy. He is noble, brave, intelligent, and surrounded by cartoon characters who fawn over him. But since Chris wants to score some cheap sympathy points, Comic Chris is also portrayed as having trouble with [[Love Quest|finding a girlfriend]] and is shown to have a limited ability to fight off his [[Manajerks|enemies]] and is regularly in need of help from his supportive friends in order to overcome his problems. In the comic, real-life relics like his [[Medallions of Fail|medallion]] aren't handicaps, they're magical objects which can make his [[China|dreams come true]]. He even has a job as mayor of CWCville, and a [[Allison Amber|doting secretary]] on whom he dumps all his [[Semen|dirty work,]] which she takes with a smile.

In other words, comic Chris is who real Chris really wants to be.

It should be noted that [[Sammy]] is actually a more accurate depiction of Chris in the comic.

===[[Sonichu 0]]===

Being the narcissistic tool he is, Chris felt it reasonable to add himself into his own comic. Right from ''[[Sonichu 0]]'' Chris is depicted on the front cover commanding Sonichu to "Zap to the extreme!", and within the comic itself, congratulating Sonichu for his victory. At this point, not only is Chris drawing himself semi-realistically, but he is still a minor character. ''Sonichu 0'' is one of the rare issues that is actually based primarily around the idea of Sonichu as the protagonist.

===[[Sonichu 1]]===

''Sonichu 1'' is Chris's lowest key outing to date, merely depicting himself commenting on the actions of the characters, and, bizarrely, his own drawing ability.

===[[Sonichu 2]]===

Having again drawn himself on the cover, by ''Sonichu 2'' Chris has turned himself into a fully-fledged main character. Going insane with self-absorption, Chris depicts himself as the embodiment of the [[Anchuent Prophecy]] foretold by his [[Ancient_leader_of_the_Cherokee_Clan|ancestors]]. It is in this issue that he first gains his ability to turn into [[Chris-chan Sonichu]], an event which will dominate the rest of the series almost to the point of Sonichu's redundancy.

===[[Sonichu 3]]===

After featuring heavily in the previous comic, Chris takes a backseat to the [[Chaotic Combo]]. Sadly, he still can't resist adding his head onto the first page.

===[[Sonichu 4]]===

The legendary comic made entirely up of sub-episodes about Chris's life. Things get a little confusing because not only are the electric hedgehog Pokemon depicted as existing in Real Chris's universe, but he also has super-powers with which to battle the [[Jerkop|Jerkops]]. Again, Chris is depicting himself with selfless friends and powers he wished he actually had, but doesn't. And all the powers and Pokemon in the world still don't stop him getting beaten by the Jerkops or being trolled by [[Hanna]]. This comic also marks the introduction of [[Crystal Weston Chandler (sister)|Crystal]], the sister he wishes he had in real life (for [[china|obvious]] reasons).

===[[Sonichu 5]]===

Real Chris, distraught at discovering [[Sarah Nicole Hammer]] is getting married, depicts himself as a noble gentleman who wants what's best for her and allows her to get married. In reality Sarah couldn't care less what Chris thought about her marriage, which renders his acceptance of the wedding null and void. An interpretation could be made that Chris is battling the two versions of himself - the side who wants Sarah all to himself (Real Chris, played by [[Wes Iseli]]) and the side who wants Sarah to be happy (Comic Chris). It probably helped that by this point Chris had transferred his feelings for Sarah over to [[Megan Schroeder|Megan]], who makes her debut appearance as [[Sailor Megtune]], allowing him to make the noble choice a lot easier than it would have otherwise been.

This comic also debuts the pseudo-manga look (thanks a lot, Megan) that would come to characterize the comic over the next few years.

By the next episode, things start getting confused. Yes, Chris is mayor of [[CWCville]] and can order around public servants, but he still can't find a [[boyfriend-free girl|girlfriend]]. Despite this, he continues to depict himself as a noble warrior of [[China|love]], protecting all of Virginia from [[Mary Lee Walsh|those who would to take it away]].

===[[Sonichu 6]]===

''Sonichu 6'' is the first issue to go into detail about how Comic Chris manages to manage running a city while sitting around getting [[Hanna|trolled]]. Opening with Real Chris discovering that his beloved dog [[Patti Chandler]] can talk, the action soon switches to Comic Chris as they enter CWCville. Chris introduces [[Patti-Chan]] to [[Allison Amber]], a Hollywood starlet who gave up her promising career to run CWCville while Chris was sitting in his [[Attraction Location|attraction locations]]. This character is indicative of how Chris portrays himself as so charismatic that young women drop everything to do his bidding. He is the "Big Cheese". Either way, fictional Allison Amber has a boyfriend, so Chris loses out in his own comic yet again.

Comic Chris spends the rest of the comic bemoaning his loneliness, and making veiled hints that [[Megan Schroeder|Megan]] is his true [[sweetheart]].

The megalomania begins on the cover, which is decorated with tiny pictures of the important moments of Chris's life, such as the time he held a basketball or tricked [[Megan Schroeder|Megan]] into being photographed with him.

The comic itself revolves around Comic Chris and Megan, who is depicted as struggling with her feelings for Chris (in reality, she hated him). The comic at this point was being used as a tool to attract Megan, so much of the extraneous action is centered on the dating life of the [[Sonichu (species)|sonichus]] as a (barely) veiled hint as to what direction their friendship should take. The courting of Megan is also why it's the most Manga-centric issue to date, as well as the most inconsistent when it comes to Chris's depictions of himself, as he manages to draw himself differently in every frame.

This issue is also notable because it introduces [[Sammy]], a younger version of Comic Chris who is a lot more similar to Real Chris, in that he watches TV on [[Ghostbusters|"ghost command"]], is [[Obesity|massively overweight]], and [[DIRTY, CRAPPED BRIEFS|shits his pants]].

Halfway through making the comic Chris was being trolled relentlessly, so he responded by trapping himself in the [[Time Void]], and thus removing himself from the direct action.

===[[Sonichu 8]]===
Unable to keep himself completely out of the action, Chris emerges temporarily from the time void on the 10th floor in the [[4-cent_garbage.com]] building in order to physically assault an employee who is working on a caricature of the [[The Oversized Drinking Straw|over-sized drinking straw]] picture, while Rosechu and Sonichu cheer on him in unison. Chris disappears immediately afterward.

===[[Sonichu 9]]===
Chris doesn't appear until the very end of issue 9. In the scene, [[Magi-Chan]] and [[Wild Sonichu]] discover the Time Void and end up pulling Chris out of the void. Fifteen minutes later, Chris, as Chris-Chan Sonichu, unveils some sort of plan (which is never mentioned) and he races off. On the final page, Chris declares that he, and anyone he created out of his sweetheart search misadventures, will never show up in the pages of his comic again... though the last page presumes that it'll continue in "Christian Weston Chandler's Adult Adventures"

===[[Sonichu 10]]===
Despite the announcement at the end of the previous issue, Chris's character returns and quickly places himself in the middle of the spotlight. Whatever small narrative restraints the character had before are now completely gone, and he works more as a wish fulfilling Gary Stu than ever. Even worse, Comic Chris has inherited the same exact personality as his real-life counterpart. During the time this issue was being drawn, Chris was boiling with [[Chris and anger|rage]] and [[Death threats|crying for the blood]] of [[Jack Thaddeus]], [[Clyde Cash]], [[Evan|and]] [[Asperpedia|every]] [[Alec Benson Leary|other]] [[troll]] and for the [[Christian Love Day|"straightening out"]] of [[homosexual]] [[JERK|males]] due to all the gay ads in his [[CWCipedia]].

At the beginning of the comic Chris discusses the future, wherein he is to be married to a woman named [[Lovely Weather]] and, since he slept with her, he is no longer a virgin. Apparently, homosexuality is such a big problem in the future that Chris was also asked by future scientists to donate some of his "straight" blood so they could use it for a vaccine. Chris, however, hoping to employ it on the homos in the present, sends Magi-Chan back to the future to steal a crate of the vaccine.

Chris moves on to fight some devil trolls who had infested his [[CWC's Sonichu Site!|old website]], and then he attacks and destroys 4-cent_garbage.com leaving 100 people dead in the process, including Jack Thaddeus and Clyde Cash, who are forced to commit suicide.

Chris is then attacked by Naitsirhc, but Chris eventually gets the upper hand and tries out the gay vaccine on him. After Naitsirhc turns back into his old incarnation, Chris declares the vaccine a success, and gives the order to pollute all the drinking water supplies in the world with it, effectually eradicating homosexuality and asexuality (since Chris for some reason does not like that either).

Meg Griffin suddenly turns up and claims to be fan of Sonichu, much to Chris's pleasure. After beating up some random guy who called Meg "sir" and Chris "madam", he cheats on Lovely Weather by making out with her, after her confirming that she is consensual. Unbeknownst to Chris, Meg is really Silvana in disguise, and Chris has therefore been trolled.

Once again Chris feels the need to apologize without really apologizing, this time to the homosexuals who might have been offended by the fact that he just committed something comparative to genocide against them. With that out of the way, Chris takes out the [[Sonichu Balls]] and transforms into [[Collosal Chan]], and together with Sonichu, who have now been transformed into [[Ultra Sonichu]], he sets out to "right some wrongs". Aside from the minor detail of getting [[Crystal Weston Chandler (sister)|Crystal]] out of the mirror, [[Collosal Chan|Hobo Chan's]] main priority is getting rid of [[Asperchu]].

After this, Hobo Chan challenges Mary Lee Walsh and curve stomps her, leaving her completely paralyzed and sentenced to a life-time in CWCville's maximum security prison (killing her is out of the question after the [[Liquid Chris]] furor). After that, Chris reverts to his human form and gives a speech. Meanwhile, Simonla Rosechu is murdered, and the Asperpedia Four are arrested for the crime. And at the same times as Chris starts giving out blessing and apologies to the Asperpedia Four, they are subjected to a show trial for their crime against him and CWCville, and are brutally executed by the Sonichus, with Chris partaking in Alec's execution by electrocution, and personally carrying out Mao's execution by tearing him apart with his psychic powers.

And so the issue ends with Chris by urging everyone to celebrate his masturbatory holiday, [[Christian Love Day]], and leap and dance and sing praise in his name, for great is his wisdom and his benevolence.

Long story short, I'm in the market for a boyfriend and I posted online, thinking I would give it a shot. I meet a guy named Christian Weston Chandler. Guess where this is going.

I didn't know anything about this guy before I met him there. I talked back and forth with him for a bit on email, got to know him a little. I didn't know he was such an internet freak. But he told me all about this cwcki site, because I wanted to know more about him and I wanted him to make a video for me. He initially refused to make a video for me because he said it "got him in trouble before". I didn't know what he meant, so he sent me here to see videos of him talking to previous girlfriends and how the nasty trolls got him in trouble for it. Mind you, he was very careful to remind me that this website is full of lies and shouldn't be trusted, despite the fact he himself sent me here.

But I respected the fact he was at least being honest with me about this online shit. Or so it seemed. I watched a bunch of his videos, got more and more disturbed by them. I questioned him on some things, like how he apparently cheated on one of his ex-girlfriends with some other girl online. As was quite insulting (but not at all surprising now that I've familiarized myself with this site), he lied to me and said it never happened. Even though he himself admitted to cheating on her in a video HE MADE.

So I've added some code to the icon templates (and even added the normal icon template code to about a third of the shirt icons) so we can toggle the text labels for the icons. I mainly forsee this being useful for the video boxes on articles, rather than having to type '''<nowiki>{{BlueRedSleeveRugby}}</nowiki> Blue & Red Sleeve Rugby''', you can type '''<nowiki>{{BlueRedSleeveRugby|text=yes}}</nowiki>''' to generate the same effect. I notice that there is a lot of inconsistency on pages with videos - some use icon templates, some don't - so do partly, probably due to new icon templates having later been made. So my plan is to revisit pages with videos and update them to use the templates. :Well I had to make the change to the templates so the default behaviour was not to show the label - in an ideal world, the default would be to show the label. Yes the task of going through every page with video templates is going to take some time - however, it will help make all of them consistent. This is one of those interesting times when we get into meta-wiki issues which starts to delve into epistemology and areas like that. As I see it, we should document Gamer Paulo's account. As with any history, it's ultimately biased towards the historian's personal views. I will disagree with Cogs in that we should include stuff of suspect, and let people decide for them self what is valid and what is not. So my approach would be to post all of Gamer Paulo's stuff, and to include Lucas's commentary so the reader will be able to see criticism from another Game Place regular.

The problem with any eye witness account of Chris is that it's going to be biased in some way - for all we know, Lucas could be exaggerating, [[Anna]] could be exaggerating in [[Tale of the Crazy Pacer]], and so forth. I believe we've discussed the validity of taking Chris's personal history as valid, even though it's obviously very biased.

I questioned him on some things, like how he apparently cheated on one of his ex-girlfriends with some other girl online. As was quite insulting (but not at all surprising now that I've familiarized myself with this site), he lied to me and said it never happened. Even though he himself admitted to cheating on her in a video HE MADE.

So I've added some code to the icon templates (and even added the normal icon template code to about a third of the shirt icons) so we can toggle the text labels for the icons. I notice that there is a lot of inconsistency on pages with videos - some use icon templates, some don't - so do partly, probably due to new icon templates having later been made. So my plan is to revisit pages with videos and update them to use the templates. This is one of those interesting times when we get into meta-wiki issues which starts to delve into epistemology and areas like that. As I see it, we should document Gamer Paulo's account. As with any history, it's ultimately biased towards the historian's personal views. I will disagree with Cogs in that we should include stuff of suspect, and let people decide for them self what is valid and what is not. So my approach would be to post all of Gamer Paulo's stuff, and to include Lucas's commentary so the reader will be able to see criticism from another Game Place regular.

The problem with any eye witness account of Chris is that it's going to be biased in some way - for all we know, Lucas could be exaggerating, [[Anna]] could be exaggerating in [[Tale of the Crazy Pacer]], and so forth. I believe we've discussed the validity of taking Chris's personal history as valid, even though it's obviously very biased.
