One user of flipnote hatena thanked him for the warning and said she was going to report Chris Chan to the admins, The same user also posted their own flipnote warning other users that there was a sex offender using hatena and to be careful, dropping Chris Chans name in the process. I later got an e-mail thanking me for the report and saying that it was indeed in breach of the rules and deleted. I strongly avoid second guessing my fellow admins but I feel that Clyde may have reacted too strongly to the current vandalism. In theory, I think if someone wants to edit the front page, they should be allowed to do so, as people could genuinely have valid contributions. I'm protecting it for two weeks so the current vandals will probably get it's a bad idea to vandalize the CWCki by that time. 
I think that front page vandalism is a rare occurrence, the last time this happened was back in October and we've been fine since then so I personally disagree with permanently protecting the front page (after all, we're not CWCipedia :3). I strongly avoid second guessing my fellow admins but I feel that Clyde may have reacted too strongly to the current vandalism. In theory, I think if someone wants to edit the front page, they should be allowed to do so, as people could genuinely have valid contributions. I'm protecting it for two weeks so the current vandals will probably get it's a bad idea to vandalize the CWCki by that time. 
I think that front page vandalism is a rare occurrence, the last time this happened was back in October and we've been fine since then so I personally disagree with permanently protecting the front page (after all, we're not CWCipedia :3).
