Cole wasn't on good terms with [[Bob]] and not even with [[Barbara]]. [[Bob]] worked his "bitter influence" on Barbara to separate her from Cole. Barbara continued to lie about the identity of Cole's biological father and related facts repeatedly, even on the night before Cole's wedding and even after Cole hired a private detective to find evidence that contradicts her claims. It turns out Barbara was never married to [[Jack Dale Smithey]], Cole's alleged father, but rather to [[Ran Coleman Yeatts|Ran ''Cole''man Yeatts]].

Barbara visited Cole only once in 27 years, whereas Cole had made special effort to visit her several times. Cole's wife's family treats him more like family than his own.

Ironically, Cole actually gets along much better with Chris than with either Bob or Barb (or at least he used to; it's unclear whether the two are still in regular contact), and possibly better than with any of his other direct relatives. Then again, when you don't actually know ''who'' your paternal relatives are, you have to take what you can get.

Cole was not around when Chris was growing up. Being nineteen years older, he was in California making a life for himself. Cole said that Barbara and Bob neglected Chris for years with the [[abusive babysitter]], which suggests that Chris's muteness in early life was their fault.

Cole visited for Chris's [[My big 18th party (story)|18th birthday party]] in [[2000]]. Later in the same year, for Cole's 37th birthday, Chris made him ''A CD For Cole Smithey!'' Naturally, the present had little to do with Cole and [[Chris and his Ego|everything to do with Chris]], even featuring a picture of him on the cover. Chris further taints the CD by attempting to talk like a DJ.

Chris visited Cole in California at some point, the only time Chris has been on an airplane and one of only two times that he has left [[Virginia]] (the other being his trip to Ohio to save "[[Julie]]").

In [[July 2007]], Chris sent an e-mail asking for Cole's vote in the [[Chop Chop Onion's Rap Showdown|''PaRappa'' contest]]. In return, Cole asked Chris to find out the truth about his father from Barbara. Strangely, though, Chris still found a way to put his brother into his mess. This means that even his half-brother is stuck in [[CWCville]].

I really don't like this article. We have one section of decent length and then two which are both (almost) completely oversized quotes. I say get rid of the quotes and replace them with some actual substance. Also, the pictures aren't really relevant to the sections they are in. I think the "niggers jews bad news" thing should be in "antisemitism" and the other pictures either need their own section or should be removed. We don't need to archive fucking everything. * I guess I've never really read what "fraction" Native American Chris is until today and I'd like to state a fact I strongly believe needs to be put SOMEWHERE. Either here, or in the article about Chris and lying. I, myself, am part Native American (an extremely small part Inuit and Sioux) and if Chris WAS 1/16 Native American he would get a monthly amount of money from the Government. While his parents would have to "claim" their N.A. status (though with money and Chris involved...they would have done it if they could), Chris could get big bucks for being 1/16 N.A. (which is quite a bit these days). That also means, his mother or father (I forget what side it's from) would be 1/8 NA (HUGE AMOUNT now a days) and they could get loads of money a month (they have to prove NA status of course). I can't see Chris's parents not taking some route for money; it may be that they just don't know that they can get money for being a Cherokee. Either way, I highly doubt Chris is actually 1/16 Cherokee (if he really is at all). I think it might be like being related to Anne Boleyn, something he says to either get attention or get away with something. "I can't be racist because I'm Native American" or something. And I found some stuff from an Ancestry site, and from his father's side there is no one (up to his great grandfather) who would be native american OR black (which would be required to be 1/16 or 1/32 of anything).
