The ED article is shit because it goes over the place, it's a bit out of date, and it picks poor samples of Chris's videos like just highlighting the "gaybian" vid. I have a great deal of things to discuss with him and, rest assured, there will be luls. What is the best way to get in touch with him these days? == On the removal of a large chunk of the intro ==

Someone posted the other day how they objected to "transvestite" listed to the intro, saying it's made it seems like being a transvestite is a bad thing and that really got me thinking. As elaborated elsewhere, the CWCki doesn't really try to beat in an idea of Chris. It tends to be critical, nothing wrong with that, but it tries to at least aim for [[CWCki:NPOV|NPOV]] at least as it pertains to our context. I think starting off the article with "Chris is a bad guy who's a whole bunch of unflattering personal characteristics" is going to leave the reader with a negative impression from the get go - of course you're not going to like this guy, you've had it drilled into your head he's a bunch of unpleasant things like "stubborn," "racist," etc. But what should happen is someone reads this article, like "Okay, this guy is a bit off" and then let them decide that based on the facts, whether or not he's really fucked up. If you're going to say Chris is fucked up, let the facts about Chris speak for themselves, you shouldn't need to lead the reader into this.

I also had issue with the linking. For instance, take - "racist" linking to [[Chris and race]]. As you can see on the talk page of that article, there was some debate whether it should be "Chris and racism" versus "Chris and race." I argued for "Chris and race" as it's more neutral and whether or not Chris is racist should be left up to the reader. Yet having "racism" link is going to have the reader read that article expecting Chris to be racist. Once again, let the facts speak for themselves - let known facts about Chris's relationships and comments on certain races allow the reader to determine for his or her own self whether Chris is a racist or not. Hopefully these articles don't insinuate Chris is a certain thing, in which case I need to go through and review some of these articles carefully.

So what did I leave? I left high functioning autistic (why was it in quotations? The [[autism]] article makes a strong case that he is autistic) because this is what Chris describes himself as. Also, he's a virgin - once again, his own description. I was very generous with leaving "man child," which I would say is leading the reader but this seems to be a most popular characterization of Chris.

:I beg to differ. Chris is not the only one who uploads/uploaded shitty comics of his recolors yiffing each other. What sets him apart from others in that category is him being a major jerk as well, and the previous introduction had links to the articles which dealt with those significant aspects of his personality. :It seems to me that the rule of thumb on this wiki is that you can write from non neutral POV if what you're adding to the articles are reasonable observation which will be met with agreement by all sensible people who are properly informed regarding the matter involved. Why? Because once a sensible person sees all the facts those articles gather, he cannot reasonably argue that Chris is not an extremely egotistical man. There's no point in having this article refrain from calling Chris [[Chris and his Ego|narcissistic]], [[homos|homophobic]], [[Tomboys And Tomgirls of Virginia|transvestite]], [[Chris and race|racist]], [[Obesity|overweight]], [[Chris and reality|delusional]], or [[Chris and hypocrisy|hypocritical]] when other articles on this Wiki do just that.

:With the exception perhaps of the first five (and even here I'm not sure), I think it is firmly established that Chris deserves most of the unsavory qualities which were mentioned in the previous revision. His homphobia, semen drinking and transvestism (if one takes the word to mean cross-dressing) are self admitted; his obesity is evident in the pictures taken of him and the rest of the linked articles all make a compelling case for Chris being racist, egotistical, hypocritical, untalented and so on.

If someone stole stuff all the time, you'd call them a thief...you wouldn't sugar coat it (and in reality you couldn't). As for the problem with making "transvestite" or "homosexual" seem like something bad, all I can say is that it's how you read it. I've read almost every article in this CWCki and I don't feel like it's "dissing" or "hating on" anyone that is of any sort of religions, race, gender, or sexuality. It's simply showing what Chris is and how he acts. Straight-out calling Chris a transvestite (Noun: A person, typically a man, who derives pleasure from dressing in clothes appropriate to the opposite sex), isn't too far from the truth, but at the same time, it's not insulting transexuals as a whole. Using that type of logic (meaning you're insulting a group of people if they are in some way associated with what Chris does) would mean that all men, all virgins, all autistics, and all humans are bad/horrible people because they are in the "same group" as Chris. --[[User:4Macie|4Macie]] 12:33, 26 July 2011 (PDT)

* Chris is a man who likes applying feminine traits to himself. It's biologically impossible for a man to be a woman, or vice versa. I disagree with Wikipedia's policy on applying pronouns from transgenderism throughout an article since it distorts the depiction of events. Once you've farmed enough content, share your hard work and effort to get as many desperate upvotes and views as possible. If somebody figures out your shenanigans, do not fret. Just try to cover it up in a half-assed fashion, even if you stupidly include your own profile pic in one of the screenshots you sent to the [[Kiwi Farms]]. Even after you've been called out on your bullshit, simply continue attacking Chris on your preferred platform every time he posts new content, usually with some dead meme that anyone else would find cringy or by telling the rest of the world how horrible Chris is compared to you. All and all, you should never try to play the game this way, as you are always going to lose regardless of how you try to execute it. Chris will never respond to your unfunny commentaries let alone rage over them. Plus, all of your desperate trollshielding and spamming will only lead you to being mocked even more. Double Dumbass points if it is Chris who ends up kicking you instead.

Chris has never experienced any substantial physical pain in his entire life that we know of. No broken bones or bare knuckle fights. His parents never raised a hand against him. Fortunately for him, he evaded both fates, but the latter incident saw Chris getting a probation, and he won't be as lucky if he gets in trouble with the law again during the period.

White knighting of [[Chris]] is especially prevalent because of the sheer volume of abuse he's taken ever since he found his [[Encyclopedia Dramatica]] page in [[2007]].

Thanks to events following from the Idea Guys, most white knights now fall into a sub-group referred to as '''Anti-Trolls''', those who try to ward other trolls and Quintet members away from Chris to have him for themselves, rather than for noble purposes. These are not to be confused with the other sub-group of White Knights, counter-trolls, who primarily fight against trolls to protect Chris, rather to troll him themselves.

'''Counter-trolls''' are those who take Chris's side to spite his [[trolls]]. Some do this because trolling one gullible idiot is less satisfying than trolling trolls, who actually have the ability to understand what is going on. Others have decided that Chris has jumped the shark and are trying to make everyone else leave him alone to put a stop to an old meme, which is effectively gatekeeping.

In the broader internet trolling community, a wide range of people, from neutral observers to even his greatest trolls, are accused of being white knights. This is mostly due to Chris's "fans" discouraging [[Weening]], [[Enablers|Enabling]] and [[A-Logging]], acts which, to outside observers, could be misinterpreted as an attempt to reduce trolling. Many of these outside observers are also confused by the tendency of Chris's trolls, including his most [[Vivian Gee|prolific]] [[Clyde Cash|ones]], trying to get him to improve his life, as they don't know Chris well enough to know it's nigh impossible to get him to improve using the "soft touch". So when the label "white knight" gets thrown around, take it with a grain of salt.

A meta-topic within the broader Chris saga has been the merits of attempting to help Chris stop being a lolcow, and whether he is deserving of such assistance, or even beyond help. Opinion on the matter is somewhat divided on whether Chris is capable of improvement, although most agree that if Chris is going to improve, it will not be in any large part due to the efforts of third parties who only interact with him over the Internet.

Some believe that Chris is improving on his own, albeit slowly and in small increments, as seen in his gradual abandonment of his homophobia, which began with him declaring tolerance for lesbians, which he eventually extended to gay men. Others believe that Chris has not tangibly improved, that he has merely moved sideways, rather than forward. Many quibble over what can be defined as Chris "improving". Some have proposed that Chris improving need not necessarily mean becoming a functioning adult, which at this stage would be an uphill battle for Chris anyway. Rather, they claim that Chris is improving in that he is happier than he once was. He has found [[Impulse Gay Social Club|a new hangout]] where he stands to improve his social skills and make friends. Moreover, he has finally found a way to cash in on his e-fame, delighted his fanbase by resuming the comics ''and'' made his dreams of a Sonichu media empire a reality, albeit probably on a much smaller scale than he once envisaged.

All of them see something of themselves in him, whether it's his [[obesity]], his all-consuming need for female companionship, or his fervent belief that his homemade comics matter. A lot of white knights have made at least some of the mistakes Chris has made and have since wised up. They think they can help improve Chris by offering the benefit of their experience.

[[Emily]] played numerous real-life characters, and yet Chris fell for every one of them. Pictures of different women were used to depict Blanca, and yet Chris thought they were the same person. Chris' autism also means that he thinks, and sees the world, in simplistic, binary terms; he cannot easily "read between the lines" or detect sarcasm, or practically any kind of nuance or subtlety. He interprets ''[[Family Guy]]'' as actually being against homosexuality.<ref>[[Captain's Log, Stardate March 10th, 2009]]</ref> When two male acquaintances at [[the GAMe PLACe]] exchanged sarcastic homosexual remarks, Chris concluded that they were gay.<ref>Anecdote by [[Mimms]].</ref> It is also thought that his decision to go [[tomgirl]] was at least partially due to him taking advice to "get in touch with his feminine side" literally.

===The trolls are even worse people than Chris===
Another frequently heard line of reasoning is that the trolls have gone way too far, and have demonstrated that they're even worse than Chris, or at least equally pathetic. For example, BlueSpike's sadistic abuse of his control over Chris [[BLUESPIKE#Encyclopedia_Dramatica_Troll_War|outraged even trolls]]. The [[JULAAAY|less sophisticated]] bulk of the trolling was the work of A-Logs and weens, who are frowned upon even by trolls, and rightfully so. And, of course, who ''really'' has no life here: Chris, or the people who [[CWCki|obsessively document and debate everything he does]]?

Some of these white-knights, the aforementioned anti-trolls, desperately seek attention from the community that surrounds Chris, sometimes faking their protecting of Chris. A lot like [[enablers]], these people cannot contribute anything to society and therefore will never get a Wikipedia page of their own, so the CWCki or Geno's Documentary series is the next best alternative. White Knights with attention on their mind often pretend that they are protecting Chris for noble purposes, when in actuality are trying to gain confirmation from the community through morally questionable techniques.

And in recent times, there have been an overwhelming number of people who are confident that playing make-believe with Chris will either help him in the long run, or will turn them into trolling legends. Because of this newfound confidence built by playing make-believe with Chris, it has been abused several times, and likewise became the means of weeding them out, regardless of their intentions. White-Knighting as a whole has taken a much more negative connotation in the Chris Chan community than it ever has before.

It goes without saying, but just because you divert trolls away from Chris, doesn't exclude you from being a subject of critique, as you have involved yourself in the drama in the first place. In order to get close to Chris, white knights have to spend at least as much time and effort as trolls to keep up-to-date on his activities. Most have to lie and pretend to be a goddess of another dimension, or a random [[OC]], to even capture his attention. This, combined with Chris's habit of pushing away anyone who tries to connect with him, is enough to make any sane non-psychologist crash into slumber. A key example of this is the [[enabler]] [[MKRNightVee|MKR]], who frequently came into conflicts with [[Jacob Sockness]] and his other enabling ilk while trying to warn Chris of the danger of letting Sockness get close – though for narcissistic reasons, as to some extent MKR simply wanted to keep Chris to herself. Regardless of whether they're white knighting for their own gain, or out of some misguided effort to help Chris, White knights will find themselves experiencing unprecedented levels of [[stress]]; this is one of the reasons why many simply give up.

===Chris will not even read your message===
Trolls had control over his e-mails. Messages sent to him by white knights were often deleted before he could read them. Even back in the days of the [[Mailbag]], any emails submitted to it, if they even got published, would've been [[Mailbag 29|given one-word replies and ignored]].

Among the most notable of Chris's white knights was a [[YouTube]] counter-troll who claimed to be a 21 year-old Russian model named Svenka. Via her YouTube account, [http://www.youtube.com/user/hottiee96 hottiee96], she released an inordinate number of screencaps from troll conversations on [[Sonichu IRC]], including private conversations between Chris and Panda. She also released an image of the [[Man in the Pickle Suit]] who would later steal Chris's first date, [[Emily]]. Were Chris less thick-skulled and even slightly willing to accept irrefutable evidence, Svenka may have made somewhat of a negative impact on the organized trolling effort against Chris, but ultimately she was ineffectual. Svenka also had a unhealthy obsession with the [[CWCville Library]]'s original curator, Arjen Van Dierten.

On 6 [[May 2009]], YouTube user xThexPinchx/NorthxStar7/[http://www.youtube.com/user/ThePinchisDaBomb ThePinchisDaBomb] tried to blackmail major trolls, claiming to have information on them. In recent times (since 2012), Chris has taken to using Facebook as his main means of expressing himself. Inevitably, this has not only attracted the attention of trolls, but, in 2013, a slew of White Knights as well, in particular, a [[William Elliott Waterman]], who taunted the trolls to come after him instead of Chris ('''Spoiler:''' Nobody did, because nobody actually cared what he had to say). Anna and [[Kim]] are two of the most notable ones on his friends list, both of whom try to offer constructive advice whenever Chris nosedives into a rant...when they're not busy kissing his ass, especially in the case of Anna.

However, as we've come to expect of Chris, anybody who tells him something he doesn't want to hear are people that needed to be brushed off until they stop saying those mean, awful things to him. A good case in point is his [[September 2013 Facebook Posts#Chris_Expresses_His_Outrage_for_Walmart|anger-laced tirade in September 2013, when he got thrown out of Walmart and started calling names]]. The white knights typically chimed in with their support...''until'' he revealed that he [[Chris and the law|vandalized]] an Xbox One display in the store. Several of them then told Chris that this was not right of him to do, and that the manager had every right to throw him out. His response to that?

In another move that was appeared to be White Knight-ish to onlookers, the page was also locked in order to prevent [[Weening|Weens]] and [[A-Logging|A-Logs]] from derailing a page about [[Sonichu (comic)|Chris's stupid webcomic]] to instead flood it with a trope list covering his entire life, with entries on Chris and the effort to troll him taking up about two-thirds of the page as a result of overzealous editors piling on an easy target instead of talking about the comic itself. However, the mods took action not out of a desire to protect Chris, but because troping a creator in such a fashion was strictly prohibited, and [[CWCki|going into Chris's life in such detail]] constituted an [[Honest Content|invasion of privacy]] that was in direct violation of the site's rules. The subsequent cleanup led to several ''Sonichu''-related pages being locked, with the main page covering the work getting a milquetoast and somewhat insincere message explaining that the article was being locked over excessive negativity, rather than the page flagrantly being warped by its editors to serve a different purpose than what the site was actually made for. Some ''Sonichu'' pages were eventually unlocked and the message was eventually removed, with the goal of actually providing examples of tropes in ''Sonichu'' being realized. Barbara's extended family holds (or at least used to hold) Christmas gatherings, probably in Red Oak or the Richmond area. The Chandlers used to attend these, but they stopped doing so at some point, possibly after the death of [[Aunt Corrina]] in 2009. [[Cole Smithey]] used to attend these gatherings as well but stopped around 2004. He now spends the holidays with his wife's family in California.<ref>[[Cole Smithey E-mails]]</ref>

As such, Chris normally spends Christmas with just [[Barbara]] and (before his passing) [[Bob]].

"Santa Clause" [[Chris and English|[sic]]] (not to be confused with [[wikipedia:The Santa Clause|the Tim Allen movie that uses this spelling]]) is a legendary character associated with Christmas, whom many Western children believe in.

According to surveys, most of these same children stop believing in Santa around the age of four, often when they find out it was actually [[Bob Chandler|their father]] with a [[Rollin' and Trollin'|fake beard]]. However, Chris claims that he still believes in "Santa Clause" [sic], despite pushing 40. He even put Santa's name on his [[JERKS#The List Of Males Chris Doesn't Hate|List Of Males Chris Doesn't Hate]], which may imply that he: a) believes "Santa Clause" [sic] is real, b) believes Santa is a manly male man capable of landing himself a girlfriend (see also the [[Mailbag 20#Viagra roleplay and something about Santa Claus|Mailbag quote]] above). Also worth of note is the fact that Chris chose to put Santa's name on the list before [[God]] and [[Jesus]]...because, come on, these two [[JERKS]] never brought him even the tiniest presents!

Of course, all this doesn't necessarily mean that Chris actually ''does'' believe in Santa. Chris probably maintains this line because he ''wants'' to believe it and maintain memories of the happy Christmases of his childhood. For Chris, who still plays with da [[Lego]]s, professing a belief in Santa is "cute" and shows that he is "young at heart", one of his favorite traits.

In a 2010 [[Jackie e-mails Part 1|e-mail exchange]] with a woman, Chris stated that he [[Honor roll|learned]] Santa wasn't real around age fifteen or sixteen, but finally "gave up on him" at 24 after he failed to bring him a girlfriend for the third year in a row.

On December 12, members of the CWCville Jewish diaspora set up "Menorah candles" (the "Haunaka" [sic] Menorah candelabrum has 7 candles in it, while the traditional Menorah used on Hanukkah, called a "Hanukkiah", has 9) instead of Christmas Trees, with dreidels lying under them. Since the candle-related symbolism is very much present in Hanukkah rituals, it's in good taste to give CWCville Jews anything candle-related as a gift. E.g., when [[Sonichu (character)|Sonichu]]'s daughter [[Cerah Rosey]] baked cookies for her friends, she decided to make her Jewish friend Kevin a candle-shaped one. This is another small example of Chris's naivety as a cookie of any shape would have likely been appreciated. That Cerah couldn't choose a more obvious Hanukkah symbol (such as a Menorah or a dreidel) over a ''generic candle'' shows that Cerah has extremely poor knowledge of even the most basic of Jewish traditions known in the Gentile world.

In fact, there actually is a tradition of eating ''fried'' foods on Hanukkah, and vanilla is one of the allowed ingredients used in making them. Not that Chris knows anything about this, mind you - he just wanted to make sure that the cookie was hypoallergenic.

In [[IRC (22 December 2008)]] Chris listed "Haunaka" and "Chaunaka" as two different holidays, probably belonging to different religions. In his [[Shout out to Fans in Hospital]], he does nearly the same thing, saying "happy Hanukkah, Chanukkah, all the other holidays to everybody of other religions".

From what we know, Buddhism is one of the religions Chris tolerates, and so he sometimes mentions it as a display of his "religious sensitivity". However, he probably doesn't know jack shit about Buddhism, and assumes that since Buddhists are all "good-hearted believers", they undoubtedly should celebrate Christmas in some way! So, in [[CWCville]], Buddhists celebrate their Buddhist Christmas by going to their Buddhist churches on starting December 12, and having a "Jolly Buddah" instead of a Christmas Tree.

By coincidence, Christmas is actually a popular holiday in some primarily Buddhist countries (such as [[anime|Japan]]). However, it's rare for celebrators to give the time special religious significance specific to their religion. Similar to how Halloween is celebrated in America based solely on the customs with practically no emphasis on the religious practices that started the holiday, so too do many Buddhists enjoy Christmas just as an excuse to put up lights, give each other gifts and participate in the same customs other people enjoy.

Little is known of what Chris thinks about [[Wikipedia:Kwanzaa|"Kawanza"]] [sic] and the related rituals, except that he [[IRC (22 December 2008)|once]] congratulated his [[trolls]] with this holiday (among others), misspelling its name in the process.

Chris doesn't say (or care, probably), what Muslims, Orthodox Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Baha'is or Atheists do in CWCville on Christmas Day. Probably they're the "few humbuggers" whom Chris derides for not celebrating C-mas/Haunaka/Kawanza/whatever those wacky Buddhists celebrate.

Sometime during the Christmas season of 1992 (other sources claim it happened in [[1989]]), Chris got probably the most dumbfounding present of his whole life, and from [[Christopher's name change|GodBear]] himself, no less. While strolling with his father through the Regency Square Mall, Christopher, as he was called at the time, encountered a band of bears playing some Christmas songs. Chris talked to the conductor, and being half-deaf from the cacophonous music they played, the man operating the bear mistakenly named him "Christian".

From that point on, Chris insisted his name was Christian, not Christopher, and a few months later [[IT TOOK A TALKING BEAR TO GIVE THE NAME A YOUNG BOY LOVES|got his name legally changed to "Christian"]].

[[ChandlerFamilyChristmas2004|This Christmas]], Chris expected to get: a) a [[Sweetheart|girlfriend]] from "Santa Clause" [sic], and b) an [[Chris and remorse|apology]] from [[Mary Lee Walsh]]. Not surprisingly, he didn't get either, and became [[Stress|depressed]]. He recorded [[ChrisAfterChristmas2004|a whiny video]] about [[Sarah Hammer]] and [[Wes Iseli]].

Chris filmed himself making his father choose between a DVD or VHS copy of ''Fraggle Rock'', and giving his mother a snowglobe ([[Chris and his ego|with a picture of him in it]]) and a ''Hamtaro'' toy.

Earlier in December, he dedicated two different songs to the first of these two wishes: [[I Want a Girlfriend for Christmas]] (written on December 4) and [[All I Want For Christmas Is a Pretty Girlfriend]] (recorded on Christmas 20). The same day as the latter, Chris also recorded another song, the famous [[So Need a Cute Girl]], which was probably dedicated to the same thing.

On December 26, Chris bought himself a [[sex doll]] called [[Kimmi]], who would become a rival to his long-time artificial heartsweet [[Officer Nasty]], on [[Adamandeve.com]]. Probably because "Santa Clause" [sic] didn't bring him one this year, either.

To compliment the sex doll, Chris also bought a "Vintage XXX Cartoons DVD/CD", and received "XXX Pleasure Seekers DVD/CD" and "Playboy Magazine Digital Edition DVD/CD" for free. The fact that Chris specifically sought something as bizarre as vintage porn cartoons to [[mass debating|fap]] his crooked [[duck]] to, for some reason, sits fine with all the other weird aspects of his twisted personality.

However, being unsatisfied with fantasizing about naked women drawn in the 1960s, Chris went to Adamandeve.com again soon after New Year's Day, and purchased some more XXX-rated Holiday Gifts for himself.
