I don't want to shit on something someone has put hard work into, but this article doesn't work. The quote at the start talks about seven ages but the article only talks about six sections of chris's life (it's a fairly arbitrary quote tbh that has nothing to do with chris). All people change, and I don't think some of the different sections of chris's life are that different in reality. 2011 CwC isn't that diffferent from 2010 (sports bra), much less different than 2011 Cwc is to 2017 cwc. The idea guys kinda get an overstated importance of changing chris's life, they more-so impacted the kiwi farm chris observers than substantially alter chris (not saying they weren't fucked up, but they're closer to bluespike than people admit). Alot of the beliefs of the dimensional merge chris had had for a while, dating back to the mayor controversy and stuff. The '''Dimensional Merge''' is an escapist fantasy and coping mechanism for [[Christian Weston Chandler|Chris]]. Originally part of the lore the [[Idea Guys]] had [[brainwashed]] into Chris, he maintained belief in it in the hopes that it will rescue him from his self-inflicted life problems and enable him to continue living like a child.

The Merge is an event in which Chris believes that "[[Dimensions#1218|Dimension 1218]]" and "[[Dimensions#C-197|Dimension C-197]]" (respectively, the universe of real life, and the [[Reality_Cartoon|parallel]] universe where [[Sonichu (character)|Sonichu]] and other fictional characters live) will combine, [[Chris and reality|bringing fictional characters into reality]]. Chris is convinced that he is the designated liaison of the event and will become a [[Chris and religion|deity]] as a result, giving the appearance of a doomsday cult leader. First announced in [[October 2018]], the Dimensional Merge's beginning on 18 November 2018,<ref name=mergebegins>https://twitter.com/CWCSonichu/status/1064201575994982400</ref> to align with the [[wikipedia:Jonestown|Jonestown mass suicide]], revealed it to be a [[troll]] fabrication.
The Merge was expected to take place by the end of [[December 2018]]. Naturally, when New Year's came and went, Chris began backpedaling but remained insistent that the Merge would occur.

Trolls had put the idea of the Dimensional Merge into Chris's head, and have encouraged it ever since. A [[Teen Troon Squad]] member claimed the idea to have originated with the [[Idea Guys]], but added, "we discouraged the idea at first",<ref>https://kiwifarms.net/posts/4149788/</ref> implying that they later began encouraging Chris to believe. In the months since then, several [[weens]] have also pretended to believe in the Merge, enabling Chris and trying to win him over. As the default latching-on point for trolls and the dominant meta-[[saga]] in Chris's life at present, the Dimensional Merge has replaced the classic [[Love Quest]] after its [[polyamorous marriage|surreal conclusion]] in early [[2018]].

== Background ==

Chris has, for a long time, believed in the existence of an alternative dimension, where every fictional character lives. Even before the Dimensional Merge saga, Chris believed that the fictitious city of [[CWCville]] and [[List of Sonichu characters|his characters]] were real, embracing their alleged existence as a way to “escape” from anything he [[Kick the Autistic|does not like]]. Throughout [[2017]], Chris appeared convinced by the [[Idea Guys]] that the Sonichu and [[Hyperdimension Neptunia]] universes actually existed, but in a separate dimension. In [[July 2018]], Chris [[July 2018 social media posts#Earth 1218|tweeted]] at Marvel writer Seanan McGuire, asking him to confirm the "dimension number" of "this Earth". McGuire responded with "Earth 1218", and later clarified that this was the Marvel universe's designation for the real universe. Chris took it as gospel, and subsequently uses "1218" to refer to the actual, existing universe. Weeks later, McGuire reiterated [[August 2018 social media posts#Redesign|once again]] that everything was imaginary, but Chris' response to McGuire and various trolls indicates that he still believes that people such as McGuire can communicate with other dimensions.

Over the summer and fall of 2018, Chris met with the [[Teen Troon Squad]], people who gave him [[weed]], pretended to be possessed by Sonichu characters and that the universes would merge.

===Relation to [[Financhu Crisis]]===
Chris believes that he is wealthy in [[CWCville]], and that when the dimensions merge, he will have access to his [[money]] there and he will be able to pay off his current, real-world debts. He has asked to borrow money from people, claiming he will pay back ten times the amount once the merge concludes, not realizing he sounds like a more autistic version of the [[wikipedia:Advance-fee_scam|Nigerian Prince Scam]].

On 8 October, Chris tweeted:

On 24 [[September 2018]], Chris was [[Chris and the law|sued]] by Second Round Sub for unpaid debt, and on 23 [[October 2018]], Midland Funding followed suit. The case for the former was postponed to January, but the verdict on the Midland case was read on 19 [[December 2018]], requiring Chris to pay $2,777.90 at 6% interest and $55 in court costs.

Remarkably, he has done little begging in the wake of the lawsuits. This has surprised many, considering the immense amount of times he has groveled online for money in the years 2016-2018. He has instead chosen to stick his head in the sand and pretend that the Merge will solve all his problems for him.

Chris [https://kiwifarms.net/posts/3862765/ announced] the event on 14 [[October 2018]]. On 26 [[October 2018]], Chris posted a video entitled "[[Dimensional Merge Announcements]]" where he outlined the process of 1218 merging with its "sister dimension" C-197, where [[Things Chris has ripped off|every fictional character known to exist]] resides. He believes that once the merge occurs, Earth will be shared by humans and various characters.

On 14 [[November 2018]], Chris made a tweet explaining the survival rates for the inhabitants of the sister dimensions during the merge. Chris explains the population math as follows; 61.25% of the population of dimension C-197 is identical to that of Earth in dimension 1218, the remaining 38.75% of the population of C-197 are OCs which are unique to C-197, all of the OCs of C-197 are guaranteed to survive the merge, at least 51% of the human population of the Earths in both sister dimensions will survive the merge and at least 41% will not with an uncertainty of 8%, the best outcome of the merge would leave 59% of the population of 1218 alive and all of the 38.75% of the OCs of C-197 plus 11.25% of the human population of C-197 in the dimension 1218C197, the dimension 1C-211987 would be left with 109% of 1218's current population leaving approximately 8.365 billion humans and OCs in the new universe.<ref>https://twitter.com/CWCSonichu/status/1062688325130219521</ref>

Naturally, he [[Chris and his ego|believes that he will be guaranteed survival]] because he "absorbed the spiral seal" from his Sega Dreamcast and is therefore the middleman between the two dimensions. He believes that himself and [[Megan Schroeder|Megan]] are basically deities, and that he will gain superpowers following the merge because of his belief that he is half-Sonichu.

He sent [https://archive.fo/AEDdd dozens of follow-up tweets] further detailing the process, explaining that [[Cwcville]] would replace northern [[Virginia]], Gotham City will replace a portion of New Jersey, and Equestria will take over the entirety of [[BronyCon|Maryland]]. He explained that this will resemble a natural disaster scenario and that mass evacuations may occur during the merge.

On 18 November 2018, Chris announced that the Merge had begun<ref name=mergebegins></ref>. This date coincides with the anniversary of the Jonestown mass suicide, implying that the Idea Guys had originated the Merge concept, as their calling card was inserting infamous historical dates into CWCville lore.

On Christmas 2018, someone claiming to be Magi-Chan logged into Chris's Twitter, posting a Pastebin dump containing the dox of one of the Teen Troon Squad's members. They also stated that the Merge would actually take place in 20 years due to time dilation, and that Sonichu residents of C-197 would need to hibernate until then.

Because of time dilation though, it will take a little bit longer in Earth 1218. By your human calendar in that universe, the merge should be complete by the end of 2038. 2018 here, 2038 in 1218.

In 20 short years, you should start seeing manifestations of what you people so cynically call "fictional characters". You might literally shit your panties when you see Bugs Bunny in real life! (But be polite, he looks a little rough. Makeup on television can work wonders.)

== The Merge in 2019 and Beyond ==

Naturally, New Year's Eve of 2019 was an eagerly awaited moment as the final chance for the cataclysm to occur. In the early morning hours of 1 January 2019, Chris spoke out on Twitter in a New Year's address, explaining that the Merge had not happened on time due to "red tape", betraying some internal bureaucracy in the process of becoming the tranny-goddess of 80s computers.

He remained insistent that the event would still occur, adding in reassurances that the Sonichu-verse was still "Awake" to remind everyone of the Magi-chan doxxing's non-canon status.

The context behind Chris's aside about [[Jessica Quinn#Versus Idea Guy|Arfoire]] was revealed in screencaps [[Lukas]] leaked on [[/cow/]]. In them, a person purporting to be the Arfoire-possessed Jessica Quinn PMs Chris over Facebook, saying she had tricked Chris into believing in the Merge:

On 4 January 2019, Chris said that he was awaiting further information on the merge, more indication that the entire merge event had been scripted and fed to him by trolls who were no longer in the picture.

Particularly troubling about Chris's comment is that he wants more information in order to verify that his delusional thoughts are real. By admitting this, he highlighted a path for new trolls to get into his head, showing he failed to learn from the [[Idea Guys]] saga. Several eager weens rushed in to fill the gaps in Chris's ''knowledge'', though by mid-[[June 2019]], Chris had apparently become overwhelmed with these, and has since turned to other, [[Chris and his ego|more credible]] sources.

===Continued hope in the merge===

After the first deadline for the merge had passed, Chris remained optimistic that the merge would still happen at some point. While he was initially quiet about it, he began ramping up the rants about the merge again around spring. The game's premise revolves around using smartphones to see Pokémon characters in real-world settings, which coincides with Chris's beliefs about the merge.

*On 2 April, Chris was sued for debt for the fourth time, further confirming the link between the merge and his financial problems.

*On 3 April, a new troll entered the stage with [[Future message from Crystal W Chandler]], who presented himself to Chris as a messenger of the merge.

Beginning in summer 2019, Chris would emphasise more often that the Merge is already nearly done and would soon be completely finished, like an obscure sect leader struggling to explain to his followers after the fact why the Second Coming had not come when he calculated it should. On 13 [[June 2019]], Chris claimed that he had been consulting with Jesus Christ, and that Jesus has been helping with the dimensional merge, which would be finished in the "near-coming days" – but without giving an actual set date. On 8 July, he tried to assure his TRUE and HONEST believers on Twitter that the Merge's effects would be 'MILD and TEMPORARY', and continued his long trend of attributing random events in the news as harbingers of the Merge. Whether he is using this as a transparent [[disguises|disguise]] to convince others, or he genuinely thinks that he is channelling his cartoon character's thoughts and statements into a microblogging platform, is unclear. In a [[Discord]] message on November 2019, Chris was still pining for the Merge, stating, "As for getting me into C-197, that Has to happen ASAP." The Merge's future course is subject only to Chris's whims, and is not dependent upon Chris's [[Financhu Crisis|deteriorating finances]], his [[Barbara Chandler|aged mother's]] declining health, or [[Chris and reality|any other events in 1218]]. Originally supposed to be complete within a few months of its announcement, it is now ''nearly complete'' and yet continues to be pushed further into the future, as nothing in Chris's world objectively changes except the identities of his enabling rivals for incompetence. Whether Chris will abandon his belief in the Merge in the event of some external shock like Barb's [[Chris and death|death]] and its fallout, or retreat further into it, is something only time can tell.

One's '''personality''' is a set of mental, emotional, and behavioral qualities that make up an individual's character. Studying personality is a key aspect of psychology, allowing experts to know what makes people the way they are. There are many methods for testing one's personality, with some backed by decades of scientific research, and others created by random people on [[Facebook]] to show ads.

Chris's personality is quite eclectic. It is what draws countless people around the globe to study and follow his antics. He has spoken quite a bit on his own idea of his personality, but his own insight doesn't always jive with [[reality]].

His personality has undergone quite the change since Bob's death, with some traits undergoing a full 180.

==Introversion vs extraversion==
Chris has shown traits of both introversion (reservedness, solitude) and extraversion (people-seeking, sociability) over the years. It should be be noted that no person is a true introvert or a true extrovert, rather it is more akin to a [[Autism|spectrum]] which people fall on, and people can behave differently in different contexts.

At [[Manchester High School|high school]], Chris appears to have been fairly introverted. A [[Manchester_High_Leaks#Getting_Acquainted|leaked icebreaker worksheet]] shows that Chris only talked to 7 of his class-mates. They were all [[Noviophobia|female]]. Despite trying to later hold a high school reunion, in the [[Song of Christian]], a 16-year old Chris describes having few friends and how his "loneliness is off the scale”. Even with the social prestige of being a water-boy to the school [[Bionic the Hedgehog|basketball team]] and his [[Gal-pals]], Chris took his [[Barbara Chandler|mom]] to the school prom. Nearly 10 years after the prom, Chris talked about feeling like an outcast at the prom, however his highlight of the evening was when one of his [[Tiffany Gowen|gal-pals]] felt sorry for him and "pulled [him] onto the dance floor". Around the time of discovery by [[Encyclopedia Dramatica]], Chris was mainly an introvert. He kept to himself and barely spoke to anyone but his sweetheart. And even in these chats, he didn't converse a lot, and only answered questions directed towards him. He considers those who abandon a brand in favor of a competitor, such as [[Sonichu]] fans who became fans of [[Asperchu]], to be "hypocrites". Sonic is the quintessential example of Chris's intense brand loyalty. Chris is, in many ways, the product of Sega's attempt to allow people to feel a personal connection with electronic appliances. Following Mario's success for Nintendo, Sonic was designed to appeal to young children and act as a mascot for Sega. He was concocted by combining elements from other popular cultural elements of the early 1990s, including Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton, and Santa Claus. Part of Sega's strategy was to employ a multi-pronged marketing technique, including video games, television shows, toys and contests. Chris followed all of these closely and in a fateful moment became the winner of the [[Sonic the Hedgehog Watch & Win Sweepstakes]], which cemented Sonic's place of honor in Chris's mind. Sonic became Chris's "lifelong hero," replacing his previous "lifelong hero" [[The Adventures of The American Rabbit|The American Rabbit]] (despite Sonic's much greater grip on his life, Chris has often felt compelled to mention the American Rabbit, as if out of some obligation). While Sonic was certainly a popular franchise, particularly in the 1990s, Chris became obsessed with the hedgehog to a level likely unanticipated by Sega. During the 1990s Sonic occupied nearly all of his thinking, serving as a fantasy world in which he could escape from the realities of daily life. Chris would generally combine Sonic with whatever he was doing, whether it was replacing the characters in Goosebumps books with Sonic characters or combining [[Bionic|Sonic with basketball to form the recolor "Bionic]]." Over the past two decades Chris has purchased nearly every Sonic-branded game, toy, and bit of merchandise, and seems to view Sonic as something resembling an old personal friend.

Instead of growing up and moving on when the Sonic brand began to grow stale at the end of the 1990s, Chris merged Sonic with his other beloved franchise at the time, [[Pokémon]], to create [[Sonichu]], who has largely replaced Sonic as the primary character in his internal fantasy world - although Sonic still makes occasional cameo appearances.

Despite Sonic's sidekick Tails' major presence in the Sonic canon, Chris rarely refers to him and conspicuously left him, or any recolor of him or two-tailed anything, absent from ''Sonichu''. Some have speculated that this may be due to popular schoolyard rumors that conjectured that Sonic and Tails were in a homosexual relationship. Chris's notorious [[homos|homophobia]] may have caused him to have an aversion to a character that he imagined might have tempted Sonic from "the straight path."

Although Mario and Nintendo were vicious rivals of Sonic and Sega, Chris seems to have been largely oblivious to this tension ([[Chris and hypocrisy|or simply didn't care because he liked both brands]]) and never subjected them to the kind of hatred he would aim at rivals of his favored products later in his life.

Perhaps Chris's best known case of brand loyalty is his sycophantic love of the [[PS3|Sony PlayStation 3]] and abject hatred for the [[HEXBox|Microsoft XBox 360]]. While fanboyism for these video game consoles is certainly well known and the rivalry between these products is referred to as a "console war", Chris, as he frequently does, took it to a new level, irrationally hating the Xbox 360 and heaping love and money on Sony. Chris was obsessed with the PlayStation 3 long before he was able to purchase one, stating that he would throw out the cure for autism for the $600 hunk of black plastic.<ref>[[Pixelated PS3]]</ref> When he finally bought a PS3, after failing to [[Pixelated PS3|win it in a contest]], he considered it to be the "ultimate life upgrade". The PS3 and its online component the [[PSN]], where he has spent thousands of dollars, became an extremely important part of every day for Chris. He would also use his limited budget to purchase numerous Sony branded accessories, including a flat-screen TV, a [[PSEye]], PSmove, PSmove Sharpshooter and multiple [[Guitar Hero]] controllers. Chris seems to find more pleasure in the purchasing of PS3 content than in its actual use. He frequently buys downloadable content for games he does not own. Chris seems to consider the PS3 and its games and accessories to be a genuine life improvement or something akin to investments rather than a glorified hugbox; how these electronic gizmos do anything but distract him from reality remains unclear. Chris went to great lengths to express his distaste for the PS3's primary rival: the Xbox 360, or "HEXbox" as he liked to call it. When Chris would propose a video game such as [[Christian Weston Chandler's Adult Chronicles]], he would make sure to state that it would be for all consoles... HEXbox excepted. Chris went as far as defacing in-store advertisements for the Xbox while yelling "kick that hex-bawx"<ref>August 2010</ref> and frequently lashing out at those who appeared to like or be affiliated with the Xbox.

Chris's reasons for hating the Xbox 360 have never been clearly defined. Though he later softened his stance against the Xbox under the influence of [[Jackie]], the rivalry between the consoles and Chris's loyalty towards Sony was at its peak during the height of Chris trolling. This caused his hatred to become well known and the Xbox 360 to become a bit of a mascot for trolls. Chris also associated the Xbox with trolls, depicting [[Asperchu|Alec Benson Leary]] as an Xbox user. Even though he has recanted much of his hatred towards the XBox 360, he has not made the choice to purchase one, despite spending the vast majority of his money on video games.

Chris once felt similar hatred towards the PlayStation 1 and 2, which were at that time rivals to his beloved Nintendo 64 and GameCube respectively. His hatred for Sony and its gaming products, described by Chris as equal to his contemporary hatred of Microsoft, evaporated when he purchased a PlayStation 1 at an SPCA rummage sale for a "bargain." He intended to sell it for profit, but instead played it and found it to be enjoyable. Chris extends his loyalty to brands far outside the normal realms of products and services and into the world of [[Slow-in-the-minds|mental abnormality.]] He is extremely loyal to his diagnosis of autism, swearing by "my autism" multiple times and considering it to be an integral part of his identity, despite having serious difficulty grasping how the condition affects his ability to function. Just as with the PS3 and Xbox 360, Chris has identified a rival to autism in Asperger's syndrome. This is a classic case of Chris's propensity to choose one "brand" over another despite the fact that they are identical; Chris's "high-functioning" autism and Asperger's are essentially the same diagnoses. Chris feels that people with Asperger's are trying to "steal his limelight" and in fact stated that the name of the disorder, beyond merely sounding like "a bad cut of meat," brought to mind "competing retards." He seems to believe that people with Asperger's syndrome are somehow faking their symptoms.

Chris's loyalty to autism and insistence on believing it to be different from Asperger's syndrome, forces him to ignore any kind of reason. Initially his unusual feelings on the matter were unknown and he was able to blissfully hold onto his ignorance unopposed, but when they were discovered and the outside world pushed him on the issue he displayed a stunning slide towards the grossly irrational. Initially, when confronted by "fans" in the [[mailbag]], Chris claimed, while pointing to the Wikipedia articles on the topic, that the two were differentiated by the age of onset (which is complete nonsense), but quickly decided that his "mind was closed" to the matter and refused to answer any more questions on the topic. When pushed further by [[Vivian G]], Chris went as far as to say that he was willing "[[Chris and reality|live this lie than believe that truth]]."

==[[Harry Potter]] vs. [[Pokémon]]==

Although this is not seen as a traditional rivalry by the rest of world, Chris has a strong dislike of the boy wizard Harry Potter because he perceives him to be a threat to the Pokémon franchise. Chris calls him a "[[Christian Weston Chandler|total spaz]]"<ref>[[Mailbag 7|Mailbag #7]]</ref> and at one point even [[Death threats|''threatened to kill'']] [[Chris and reality|the fictional character]].<ref>[[:File:100-DarkCWC.jpg|"Dark Christian" card]] from [[Wall of Originals]].</ref> His hatred appears to stem from Chris's perception that a brand was once again "stealing the limelight" from something he identified with, in this case Pokémon. While Pokémon was aimed at younger children, Harry Potter targeted a slightly older, more literate demographic. To Chris, the choice was obvious.

In later years Chris softened his stance on Harry Potter and at the request of [[Jackie]], he [[I put on my Wizard's cloak and magic hat|dressed up as a wizard and made reference to Harry Potter]].

Chris has been a lifelong fan of Nintendo products, and although his love of Sonic prevented him from becoming obsessed with Mario, Chris has owned nearly every Nintendo console and handheld since the NES (there have been no signs of the infamous Virtual Boy). His relationship with Nintendo and his interactions with [[Shigeru Miyamoto]], who he believed was interested in producing a Sonichu game, displays Chris's odd understanding of consumer/corporate relations. It appears that Chris believed that his loyalty to various corporate interests would be recognized and returned in a reciprocal fashion, as he listed his multitude of Nintendo purchases in an attempt to convince the game developer to work with him.<ref>Miyamoto emails</ref>

==Apple/iOS==
Chris is an avid user of iOS products. In 2013, he built a [[Idea Book Case|double phone case]] to contain his iPhone 5 and 5th-generation iPod Touch. Chris used the 8GB iPhone for everything requiring cell service, and he used the 32GB iPod for entertainment - and it wasn't even his only iPod Touch at the time. He had another one of equal capacity, loaded with different content. He designed the case to make it easy to switch between products, and even considers it to be [[ego|one of his greatest inventions]].<ref>[[Mailbag_1#Chris_the_inventor]]</ref> Why he didn't just buy a 64GB iPhone is beyond mere mortals.

He still had the case as of 2018, but he now used it for holding not one, but two functioning iPhones. He bought an iPad Pro in [[May 2020]], rounding out the trilogy of iOS devices.

Despite this, Chris is on the PC side of the Mac or PC divide.

Chris's former allegiance to heterosexuality and hatred for homosexuality could be
seen as a form of warped brand loyalty. To Chris (prior to his [[transgender|coming out]]), heterosexual love is the
most pure joyous expression of emotion that can be experienced, the search for
which is the noblest of quests. Its opposite — homosexual love — on the other hand, is a warped dangerous temptation and those who practice it are worthy of scorn. Chris had even forgone platonic same-sex friendships in an effort to avoid any possibility that he might associate with and be tempted by a homosexual. Just as with his hatred for the XBox, Chris was completely closed minded when it comes to evaluating homosexuality; to him it was the enemy and the mere thought of it made him blind with rage. Despite his efforts at finding heterosexual love, Chris seemed more concerned with insuring that he was properly labeled as a STRAIGHT man. His efforts to prove to the world that he was in fact not a homo included going as far as planning to record and publicize his first heterosexual experience against the wishes of his hypothetical partner. Whether Chris's former hatred for homosexuality stems from jealousy, as it did with his hatred for the XBox, is unknown.

The origin of this loyalty can be traced back to his childhood: [[Bob Chandler]], being a not-so-nice Southern gentleman, not only disliked homosexuals in the traditional bigoted manner, but suffered from frequent paranoid delusions regarding their role in his life. When Chris ran into trouble at [[Nathanael Greene Elementary School]] Bob blamed the problems not only on the principal (who he was certain was a homosexual), but on the school board which, for reasons left unclear, he believed to be stacked with homosexuals who despised his family. Even the incredibly [[naïve]] Christian was capable of seeing that this was, at the very least, an exaggeration, if not a paranoid persecution fantasy<ref>Chris, on IRC, circa 21 January 2009.</ref>. Nevertheless this kind of hatred and paranoia sunk into Chris's mind and was compounded by Bob's unfounded and bizarre belief that Chris's trolling originated with several homosexuals who he believed frequented [[the GAMe PLACe]].

Chris's feelings on lesbianism were more nuanced. While he still felt the Biblical injunction against same-sex coupling applies, scissoring was just too hot for him to condemn.

Everything changed in [[2014]] when Chris came out as a trans lesbian. He loosened his stance on sexuality, and he now considers himself to be part of the [[SLGBTQ|LGBT]] community. In 2018, the [[Idea Guys]] convinced him that he was [[bisexual]], giving his loyalty to the LGBTQ+ community completely.

Chris's loyalty to this multinational deodorant brand (called Lynx in the UK and [[PandaHalo|Australia]]) is a classic example of Chris taking advertising literally. Early commercials for the deodorant depicted women throwing themselves at men in a manner reminiscent of Chris's desire for women to approach him in public. Rather than seeing this as hyperbole, Chris seems to believe that the product may have this effect in reality. Obviously Axe has never worked as advertised for Chris, but he has maintained his status as a loyal customer for many years.

Axe is also an example of how Chris considers the products he buys an integral component of his identity. As a loyal Axe customer, he was deeply disturbed when he was told that Axe was popular in the gay community, and he felt the need to use [[YouTube]] to [[CWC Address to Unilever About AXE|request that the Unilever Corporation]] use labels to specifically forbid homosexuals from using their products.

==[[McDonald's]] vs. [[Burger King]]==

Chris is a lifelong acolyte of McDonald's and thus dislikes its main competitor, Burger King. McDonald's is a major component of Chris's life. He eats a significant percentage of his meals at the popular fast-food restaurant, considers it the perfect location for a first date, and features it as a location in several issues of Sonichu. One of his most cherished and sickening fantasies involves having sex with his sweetheart in the handicapped bathroom of the local McDonald's. Chris has little love for Burger King, although he certainly never mentioned refusing to eat the food when dragged there by his father, who preferred it to McDonald's (Bob and Chris apparently did have some dispute about coupons with the Manager of their local Burger King, resulting in Chris's bizarre attempt to get his trolls to troll the Manager by creating an article on the CWCki). Chris has never mentioned having any strong positive or negative feelings toward the Wendy's chain before his brief stint as an employee, and seems not to hold animosity toward the chain as a whole despite being fired from his local store after three days.

Some time in 2012 Chris seemed to have turned on McDonald's, urging people to avoid the Forest Lakes location as he believes he has been discriminated against due to his autism and foul mouth. But in [[2013]], he plugged it on [[Facebook]]: ''Eat Healthy with Premium McWraps, Apple Slices and Tea.'' (Note that McWraps contain up to 620 calories, and the tea 220. And even the apple slices have been found to be [http://jezebel.com/5934390/mcdonaldss-apple-slices-recalled-because-theyre-crawling-with-disease crawling with ''Listeria''].)

==Coke and Pepsi==
Surprisingly, Chris does not appear to have a specific long-term loyalty in this classic example of a nonexistent choice. He has been known to drink both, but claims that Sonichu drinks only [[CWC Cola]], a variant of Pepsi with a [[Semen|special ingredient]]. At one point he supported a boycott of Pepsi due to its alleged "gay-friendliness." He has been known to hoard My Coke Rewards points; in the Ivy Q&A, Ivy describes his becoming miffed at having to use his points to buy a different version of a song he already owned to fulfill Ivy's request for a video. One might think that a few points are a trifling thing when sweet, sweet [[china]] is the potential reward, but then one probably isn't Chris.

Standing there motionless, daydreaming about Mighty, Chris was — you guessed it — hit in the face with a basketball. This, in Chris's words, "opened the lockers to his mind," and led to the creation of the recolor we know and tolerate today as the completely original character of Bionic the Hedgehog.

Perhaps Chris's best known case of brand loyalty is his sycophantic love of the [[PS3|Sony PlayStation 3]] and abject hatred for the [[HEXBox|Microsoft XBox 360]]. While fanboyism for these video game consoles is certainly well known and the rivalry between these products is referred to as a "console war", Chris, as he frequently does, took it to a new level, irrationally hating the Xbox 360 and heaping love and money on Sony. Chris seems to find more pleasure in the purchasing of PS3 content than in its actual use. He frequently buys downloadable content for games he does not own. Chris seems to consider the PS3 and its games and accessories to be a genuine life improvement or something akin to investments rather than a glorified hugbox; how these electronic gizmos do anything but distract him from reality remains unclear. Initially, when confronted by "fans" in the [[mailbag]], Chris claimed, while pointing to the Wikipedia articles on the topic, that the two were differentiated by the age of onset (which is complete nonsense), but quickly decided that his "mind was closed" to the matter and refused to answer any more questions on the topic. When pushed further by [[Vivian G]], Chris went as far as to say that he was willing "[[Chris and reality|live this lie than believe that truth]]."

Chris's former allegiance to heterosexuality and hatred for homosexuality could be
seen as a form of warped brand loyalty. To Chris (prior to his [[transgender|coming out]]), heterosexual love is the
most pure joyous expression of emotion that can be experienced, the search for
which is the noblest of quests. Its opposite — homosexual love — on the other hand, is a warped dangerous temptation and those who practice it are worthy of scorn. Chris had even forgone platonic same-sex friendships in an effort to avoid any possibility that he might associate with and be tempted by a homosexual. Just as with his hatred for the XBox, Chris was completely closed minded when it comes to evaluating homosexuality; to him it was the enemy and the mere thought of it made him blind with rage. Despite his efforts at finding heterosexual love, Chris seemed more concerned with insuring that he was properly labeled as a STRAIGHT man. His efforts to prove to the world that he was in fact not a homo included going as far as planning to record and publicize his first heterosexual experience against the wishes of his hypothetical partner. Whether Chris's former hatred for homosexuality stems from jealousy, as it did with his hatred for the XBox, is unknown.

The origin of this loyalty can be traced back to his childhood: [[Bob Chandler]], being a not-so-nice Southern gentleman, not only disliked homosexuals in the traditional bigoted manner, but suffered from frequent paranoid delusions regarding their role in his life. When Chris ran into trouble at [[Nathanael Greene Elementary School]] Bob blamed the problems not only on the principal (who he was certain was a homosexual), but on the school board which, for reasons left unclear, he believed to be stacked with homosexuals who despised his family. Even the incredibly [[naïve]] Christian was capable of seeing that this was, at the very least, an exaggeration, if not a paranoid persecution fantasy<ref>Chris, on IRC, circa 21 January 2009.</ref>. Nevertheless this kind of hatred and paranoia sunk into Chris's mind and was compounded by Bob's unfounded and bizarre belief that Chris's trolling originated with several homosexuals who he believed frequented [[the GAMe PLACe]].

Chris's feelings on lesbianism were more nuanced. While he still felt the Biblical injunction against same-sex coupling applies, scissoring was just too hot for him to condemn.

Everything changed in [[2014]] when Chris came out as a trans lesbian. He loosened his stance on sexuality, and he now considers himself to be part of the [[SLGBTQ|LGBT]] community. In 2018, the [[Idea Guys]] convinced him that he was [[bisexual]], giving his loyalty to the LGBTQ+ community completely.

Chris's loyalty to this multinational deodorant brand (called Lynx in the UK and [[PandaHalo|Australia]]) is a classic example of Chris taking advertising literally. Early commercials for the deodorant depicted women throwing themselves at men in a manner reminiscent of Chris's desire for women to approach him in public. Rather than seeing this as hyperbole, Chris seems to believe that the product may have this effect in reality. Obviously Axe has never worked as advertised for Chris, but he has maintained his status as a loyal customer for many years.

Axe is also an example of how Chris considers the products he buys an integral component of his identity. As a loyal Axe customer, he was deeply disturbed when he was told that Axe was popular in the gay community, and he felt the need to use [[YouTube]] to [[CWC Address to Unilever About AXE|request that the Unilever Corporation]] use labels to specifically forbid homosexuals from using their products.

Chris is a lifelong acolyte of McDonald's and thus dislikes its main competitor, Burger King. McDonald's is a major component of Chris's life. He eats a significant percentage of his meals at the popular fast-food restaurant, considers it the perfect location for a first date, and features it as a location in several issues of Sonichu. One of his most cherished and sickening fantasies involves having sex with his sweetheart in the handicapped bathroom of the local McDonald's. Chris has little love for Burger King, although he certainly never mentioned refusing to eat the food when dragged there by his father, who preferred it to McDonald's (Bob and Chris apparently did have some dispute about coupons with the Manager of their local Burger King, resulting in Chris's bizarre attempt to get his trolls to troll the Manager by creating an article on the CWCki). Chris has never mentioned having any strong positive or negative feelings toward the Wendy's chain before his brief stint as an employee, and seems not to hold animosity toward the chain as a whole despite being fired from his local store after three days.

Some time in 2012 Chris seemed to have turned on McDonald's, urging people to avoid the Forest Lakes location as he believes he has been discriminated against due to his autism and foul mouth. Initially, when confronted by "fans" in the [[mailbag]], Chris claimed, while pointing to the Wikipedia articles on the topic, that the two were differentiated by the age of onset (which is complete nonsense), but quickly decided that his "mind was closed" to the matter and refused to answer any more questions on the topic. When pushed further by [[Vivian G]], Chris went as far as to say that he was willing "[[Chris and reality|live this lie than believe that truth]]."

Chris's former allegiance to heterosexuality and hatred for homosexuality could be
seen as a form of warped brand loyalty. To Chris (prior to his [[transgender|coming out]]), heterosexual love is the
most pure joyous expression of emotion that can be experienced, the search for
which is the noblest of quests. Its opposite — homosexual love — on the other hand, is a warped dangerous temptation and those who practice it are worthy of scorn. Chris had even forgone platonic same-sex friendships in an effort to avoid any possibility that he might associate with and be tempted by a homosexual. Just as with his hatred for the XBox, Chris was completely closed minded when it comes to evaluating homosexuality; to him it was the enemy and the mere thought of it made him blind with rage. Despite his efforts at finding heterosexual love, Chris seemed more concerned with insuring that he was properly labeled as a STRAIGHT man. His efforts to prove to the world that he was in fact not a homo included going as far as planning to record and publicize his first heterosexual experience against the wishes of his hypothetical partner. Whether Chris's former hatred for homosexuality stems from jealousy, as it did with his hatred for the XBox, is unknown.

The origin of this loyalty can be traced back to his childhood: [[Bob Chandler]], being a not-so-nice Southern gentleman, not only disliked homosexuals in the traditional bigoted manner, but suffered from frequent paranoid delusions regarding their role in his life. When Chris ran into trouble at [[Nathanael Greene Elementary School]] Bob blamed the problems not only on the principal (who he was certain was a homosexual), but on the school board which, for reasons left unclear, he believed to be stacked with homosexuals who despised his family. Even the incredibly [[naïve]] Christian was capable of seeing that this was, at the very least, an exaggeration, if not a paranoid persecution fantasy<ref>Chris, on IRC, circa 21 January 2009.</ref>. Nevertheless this kind of hatred and paranoia sunk into Chris's mind and was compounded by Bob's unfounded and bizarre belief that Chris's trolling originated with several homosexuals who he believed frequented [[the GAMe PLACe]].

Chris's feelings on lesbianism were more nuanced. While he still felt the Biblical injunction against same-sex coupling applies, scissoring was just too hot for him to condemn.

Everything changed in [[2014]] when Chris came out as a trans lesbian. He loosened his stance on sexuality, and he now considers himself to be part of the [[SLGBTQ|LGBT]] community. In 2018, the [[Idea Guys]] convinced him that he was [[bisexual]], giving his loyalty to the LGBTQ+ community completely.

Chris's loyalty to this multinational deodorant brand (called Lynx in the UK and [[PandaHalo|Australia]]) is a classic example of Chris taking advertising literally. Early commercials for the deodorant depicted women throwing themselves at men in a manner reminiscent of Chris's desire for women to approach him in public. Rather than seeing this as hyperbole, Chris seems to believe that the product may have this effect in reality. Obviously Axe has never worked as advertised for Chris, but he has maintained his status as a loyal customer for many years.

Axe is also an example of how Chris considers the products he buys an integral component of his identity. As a loyal Axe customer, he was deeply disturbed when he was told that Axe was popular in the gay community, and he felt the need to use [[YouTube]] to [[CWC Address to Unilever About AXE|request that the Unilever Corporation]] use labels to specifically forbid homosexuals from using their products.

Chris is a lifelong acolyte of McDonald's and thus dislikes its main competitor, Burger King. McDonald's is a major component of Chris's life. He eats a significant percentage of his meals at the popular fast-food restaurant, considers it the perfect location for a first date, and features it as a location in several issues of Sonichu. One of his most cherished and sickening fantasies involves having sex with his sweetheart in the handicapped bathroom of the local McDonald's. Chris has little love for Burger King, although he certainly never mentioned refusing to eat the food when dragged there by his father, who preferred it to McDonald's (Bob and Chris apparently did have some dispute about coupons with the Manager of their local Burger King, resulting in Chris's bizarre attempt to get his trolls to troll the Manager by creating an article on the CWCki). Chris has never mentioned having any strong positive or negative feelings toward the Wendy's chain before his brief stint as an employee, and seems not to hold animosity toward the chain as a whole despite being fired from his local store after three days.

Some time in 2012 Chris seemed to have turned on McDonald's, urging people to avoid the Forest Lakes location as he believes he has been discriminated against due to his autism and foul mouth. Surprisingly, Chris does not appear to have a specific long-term loyalty in this classic example of a nonexistent choice. Korea] has examples of repetition and having a muddled argument (bringing up his trans identity when talking about how the N. Koreans should pursue peace, or detouring to talk about his dad's war experience). Some of the article's sections could be tightened up through editing (does there need to be a separate section for activism? Seems like it could be folded into the public speaker section.) Regarding topics, maybe mention [[Message for John Kyle]]? That one's interesting because Chris tried to contact Cole by using J.K., by throwing up the video on YouTube and assuming Kyle would see it, and also for how he tries to guilt-trip Cole while simultaneously trying to get him to visit.

Chris considers his choice of brands to be a major component of his identity in the much the same way as [[Autism|other]] [[Love Quest| things.]] In general, once Chris has committed to a particular "brand" he will stand by it regardless of its quality. He considers those who abandon a brand in favor of a competitor, such as [[Sonichu]] fans who became fans of [[Asperchu]], to be "hypocrites". He was concocted by combining elements from other popular cultural elements of the early 1990s, including Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton, and Santa Claus. Part of Sega's strategy was to employ a multi-pronged marketing technique, including video games, television shows, toys and contests. Chris followed all of these closely and in a fateful moment became the winner of the [[Sonic the Hedgehog Watch & Win Sweepstakes]], which cemented Sonic's place of honor in Chris's mind. The PS3 and its online component the [[PSN]], where he has spent thousands of dollars, became an extremely important part of every day for Chris. He would also use his limited budget to purchase numerous Sony branded accessories, including a flat-screen TV, a [[PSEye]], PSmove, PSmove Sharpshooter and multiple [[Guitar Hero]] controllers. Chris seems to find more pleasure in the purchasing of PS3 content than in its actual use. He frequently buys downloadable content for games he does not own. Chris seems to consider the PS3 and its games and accessories to be a genuine life improvement or something akin to investments rather than a glorified hugbox; how these electronic gizmos do anything but distract him from reality remains unclear. Chris went to great lengths to express his distaste for the PS3's primary rival: the Xbox 360, or "HEXbox" as he liked to call it. When Chris would propose a video game such as [[Christian Weston Chandler's Adult Chronicles]], he would make sure to state that it would be for all consoles... HEXbox excepted. Chris went as far as defacing in-store advertisements for the Xbox while yelling "kick that hex-bawx"<ref>August 2010</ref> and frequently lashing out at those who appeared to like or be affiliated with the Xbox.

Chris's reasons for hating the Xbox 360 have never been clearly defined. When pressed for answers, Chris would generally cite Xbox Live's (Xbox's online component) cost or the infamous "[[Wikipedia:Red_ring_of_death#.22General_Hardware_Failure.22_errors|red ring of death]]".<ref>[[Mailbag 5]]</ref> He would later admit that his anger stemmed from jealousy over being unable to afford an original Xbox and that the aforementioned reasons were merely excuses<ref>[[Jackie E-mails 14]]</ref>. Though he later softened his stance against the Xbox under the influence of [[Jackie]], the rivalry between the consoles and Chris's loyalty towards Sony was at its peak during the height of Chris trolling. This caused his hatred to become well known and the Xbox 360 to become a bit of a mascot for trolls. Chris also associated the Xbox with trolls, depicting [[Asperchu|Alec Benson Leary]] as an Xbox user. Even though he has recanted much of his hatred towards the XBox 360, he has not made the choice to purchase one, despite spending the vast majority of his money on video games.

Chris once felt similar hatred towards the PlayStation 1 and 2, which were at that time rivals to his beloved Nintendo 64 and GameCube respectively. His hatred for Sony and its gaming products, described by Chris as equal to his contemporary hatred of Microsoft, evaporated when he purchased a PlayStation 1 at an SPCA rummage sale for a "bargain." He intended to sell it for profit, but instead played it and found it to be enjoyable. Instead of learning from this, discovering that rival consoles can be equally enjoyable, Chris simply became a [[Sony]] fanboy (in addition to a [[Nintendo]] fanboy) and began hating Microsoft.<ref>[[Jackie E-mails 14]]</ref>

Chris extends his loyalty to brands far outside the normal realms of products and services and into the world of [[Slow-in-the-minds|mental abnormality.]] He is extremely loyal to his diagnosis of autism, swearing by "my autism" multiple times and considering it to be an integral part of his identity, despite having serious difficulty grasping how the condition affects his ability to function. Just as with the PS3 and Xbox 360, Chris has identified a rival to autism in Asperger's syndrome. This is a classic case of Chris's propensity to choose one "brand" over another despite the fact that they are identical; Chris's "high-functioning" autism and Asperger's are essentially the same diagnoses. Chris feels that people with Asperger's are trying to "steal his limelight" and in fact stated that the name of the disorder, beyond merely sounding like "a bad cut of meat," brought to mind "competing retards." He seems to believe that people with Asperger's syndrome are somehow faking their symptoms.

Chris's loyalty to autism and insistence on believing it to be different from Asperger's syndrome, forces him to ignore any kind of reason. Initially his unusual feelings on the matter were unknown and he was able to blissfully hold onto his ignorance unopposed, but when they were discovered and the outside world pushed him on the issue he displayed a stunning slide towards the grossly irrational. Initially, when confronted by "fans" in the [[mailbag]], Chris claimed, while pointing to the Wikipedia articles on the topic, that the two were differentiated by the age of onset (which is complete nonsense), but quickly decided that his "mind was closed" to the matter and refused to answer any more questions on the topic. When pushed further by [[Vivian G]], Chris went as far as to say that he was willing "[[Chris and reality|live this lie than believe that truth]]."

==[[Harry Potter]] vs. [[Pokémon]]==

Although this is not seen as a traditional rivalry by the rest of world, Chris has a strong dislike of the boy wizard Harry Potter because he perceives him to be a threat to the Pokémon franchise. Chris calls him a "[[Christian Weston Chandler|total spaz]]"<ref>[[Mailbag 7|Mailbag #7]]</ref> and at one point even [[Death threats|''threatened to kill'']] [[Chris and reality|the fictional character]].<ref>[[:File:100-DarkCWC.jpg|"Dark Christian" card]] from [[Wall of Originals]].</ref> His hatred appears to stem from Chris's perception that a brand was once again "stealing the limelight" from something he identified with, in this case Pokémon. While Pokémon was aimed at younger children, Harry Potter targeted a slightly older, more literate demographic. To Chris, the choice was obvious.

In later years Chris softened his stance on Harry Potter and at the request of [[Jackie]], he [[I put on my Wizard's cloak and magic hat|dressed up as a wizard and made reference to Harry Potter]].

Chris has been a lifelong fan of Nintendo products, and although his love of Sonic prevented him from becoming obsessed with Mario, Chris has owned nearly every Nintendo console and handheld since the NES (there have been no signs of the infamous Virtual Boy). His relationship with Nintendo and his interactions with [[Shigeru Miyamoto]], who he believed was interested in producing a Sonichu game, displays Chris's odd understanding of consumer/corporate relations. It appears that Chris believed that his loyalty to various corporate interests would be recognized and returned in a reciprocal fashion, as he listed his multitude of Nintendo purchases in an attempt to convince the game developer to work with him.<ref>Miyamoto emails</ref>

Chris's former allegiance to heterosexuality and hatred for homosexuality could be
seen as a form of warped brand loyalty. To Chris (prior to his [[transgender|coming out]]), heterosexual love is the
most pure joyous expression of emotion that can be experienced, the search for
which is the noblest of quests. Its opposite — homosexual love — on the other hand, is a warped dangerous temptation and those who practice it are worthy of scorn. Chris had even forgone platonic same-sex friendships in an effort to avoid any possibility that he might associate with and be tempted by a homosexual. Just as with his hatred for the XBox, Chris was completely closed minded when it comes to evaluating homosexuality; to him it was the enemy and the mere thought of it made him blind with rage. Despite his efforts at finding heterosexual love, Chris seemed more concerned with insuring that he was properly labeled as a STRAIGHT man. His efforts to prove to the world that he was in fact not a homo included going as far as planning to record and publicize his first heterosexual experience against the wishes of his hypothetical partner. Whether Chris's former hatred for homosexuality stems from jealousy, as it did with his hatred for the XBox, is unknown.

The origin of this loyalty can be traced back to his childhood: [[Bob Chandler]], being a not-so-nice Southern gentleman, not only disliked homosexuals in the traditional bigoted manner, but suffered from frequent paranoid delusions regarding their role in his life. When Chris ran into trouble at [[Nathanael Greene Elementary School]] Bob blamed the problems not only on the principal (who he was certain was a homosexual), but on the school board which, for reasons left unclear, he believed to be stacked with homosexuals who despised his family. Even the incredibly [[naïve]] Christian was capable of seeing that this was, at the very least, an exaggeration, if not a paranoid persecution fantasy<ref>Chris, on IRC, circa 21 January 2009.</ref>. Nevertheless this kind of hatred and paranoia sunk into Chris's mind and was compounded by Bob's unfounded and bizarre belief that Chris's trolling originated with several homosexuals who he believed frequented [[the GAMe PLACe]].

Chris's feelings on lesbianism were more nuanced. While he still felt the Biblical injunction against same-sex coupling applies, scissoring was just too hot for him to condemn.

Everything changed in [[2014]] when Chris came out as a trans lesbian. He loosened his stance on sexuality, and he now considers himself to be part of the [[SLGBTQ|LGBT]] community. In 2018, the [[Idea Guys]] convinced him that he was [[bisexual]], giving his loyalty to the LGBTQ+ community completely.

==[[Axe]]==

Chris's loyalty to this multinational deodorant brand (called Lynx in the UK and [[PandaHalo|Australia]]) is a classic example of Chris taking advertising literally. Early commercials for the deodorant depicted women throwing themselves at men in a manner reminiscent of Chris's desire for women to approach him in public. Rather than seeing this as hyperbole, Chris seems to believe that the product may have this effect in reality. Obviously Axe has never worked as advertised for Chris, but he has maintained his status as a loyal customer for many years.

Axe is also an example of how Chris considers the products he buys an integral component of his identity. As a loyal Axe customer, he was deeply disturbed when he was told that Axe was popular in the gay community, and he felt the need to use [[YouTube]] to [[CWC Address to Unilever About AXE|request that the Unilever Corporation]] use labels to specifically forbid homosexuals from using their products.

==[[McDonald's]] vs. [[Burger King]]==

Chris is a lifelong acolyte of McDonald's and thus dislikes its main competitor, Burger King. McDonald's is a major component of Chris's life. He eats a significant percentage of his meals at the popular fast-food restaurant, considers it the perfect location for a first date, and features it as a location in several issues of Sonichu. One of his most cherished and sickening fantasies involves having sex with his sweetheart in the handicapped bathroom of the local McDonald's. Chris has little love for Burger King, although he certainly never mentioned refusing to eat the food when dragged there by his father, who preferred it to McDonald's (Bob and Chris apparently did have some dispute about coupons with the Manager of their local Burger King, resulting in Chris's bizarre attempt to get his trolls to troll the Manager by creating an article on the CWCki). Chris has never mentioned having any strong positive or negative feelings toward the Wendy's chain before his brief stint as an employee, and seems not to hold animosity toward the chain as a whole despite being fired from his local store after three days.

Some time in 2012 Chris seemed to have turned on McDonald's, urging people to avoid the Forest Lakes location as he believes he has been discriminated against due to his autism and foul mouth. But in [[2013]], he plugged it on [[Facebook]]: ''Eat Healthy with Premium McWraps, Apple Slices and Tea.'' (Note that McWraps contain up to 620 calories, and the tea 220. And even the apple slices have been found to be [http://jezebel.com/5934390/mcdonaldss-apple-slices-recalled-because-theyre-crawling-with-disease crawling with ''Listeria''].)

==Coke and Pepsi==
Surprisingly, Chris does not appear to have a specific long-term loyalty in this classic example of a nonexistent choice. He has been known to drink both, but claims that Sonichu drinks only [[CWC Cola]], a variant of Pepsi with a [[Semen|special ingredient]]. At one point he supported a boycott of Pepsi due to its alleged "gay-friendliness." He has been known to hoard My Coke Rewards points; in the Ivy Q&A, Ivy describes his becoming miffed at having to use his points to buy a different version of a song he already owned to fulfill Ivy's request for a video. One might think that a few points are a trifling thing when sweet, sweet [[china]] is the potential reward, but then one probably isn't Chris.
