This section is just conjecture for now, I will try and do some more research to get more accurate information. Not sure what can be done as far as accuracy goes since the trip was 2 years ago and the chandlers are famous for not answering their phone, but I'll do what I can intelligently.

the recorded times we have for the trip are 4:25 @ the gas station, then 4:29 at Sonic (loyal to a fault, eh?). The sonic is right off the interstate, and the one hamburger at 4 in the afternoon probably took about 5 minutes to come out, and an estimated 5 minutes to eat and leave at around 4:40. With the 7 hour drive home as estimated by Google Maps this places Chris back home a little before midnight assuming traffic laws were obeyed. of course, Chris didn't make it back until 3 AM the following morning so he f'ed up along the way. He brought a novel, it's safe to say he read some of it while at Sonic.

working backwards, assuming he left the second location with the intention of gassing up and going home he left that location at approximately 3:45, taking 35 minutes to get to the station and put in ~6.5 gallons over the course of 5 minutes. NOTE: receipt is from a physical pump and so was prepaid with a card.

I'm going to estimate for now approximately 30 minutes of dickery at both locations, putting him at the old lady's house @ 3:15. factoring in a 7.5 hour drive has him leaving his parents' house at 7:45. He actually left at 5:30 according to the emily transcript, so there's about two hours missing from their that could be any number of factors. I doubt chris can go 7.5 hours without eating, and since he had a book with him he probably sat at the table eating for a while.

The irony of the correlation between the time to write the directions to his sweetheart and the meaning of life is undoubtedly lost on him. None of the directions are on fresh paper. Chris says he can't go until March because he needs his tugboat to come in. Chris's mom is concerned about him catching diseases from the foreign girl. ===Miscellaneous Minutiae===
I looked up the address that was given for Julie's Residence, the house is known as the Andrew Dall House and is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. Andrew Dall was a builder in the 1800's - early 1900's, not sure if there was any significance in the address that was given or if it was just a random address; probably the latter.

===Money Spent===
Gas:

781 miles
 11 gallon fuel capacity
 $1.86 average gallon of gas (mean of national average (1.89) & fillup @ sheetz (1.83)
 approx 32 mpg average (mostly highway with enough in-city driving to bring it down some)
 ~24.4 gallons of fuel
 $45.38 money required for fuel

Son-Chu's a 94 Ford Escort, which has a fuel tank capacity of approximately 11 gallons. The EPA estimate for city driving is 26, highway is 34, and combined is 29 miles per gallon. Assuming Chris has safe driving habits (which he may or may not; the incidents with that goddamn Michael Snyder and others notwithstanding, I'm not sure if he has incurred any actual tickets) the trip to Cleveland would require about 12.5 gallons, so he presumably had to fill-up before he got there. The average price of gas in the area he drove through was $1.89, and the station he filled up at to come home was $1.83. 

The fillup at Sheetz theoretically would get him all the way home, and it's probably safe to say he did fill up since neither the amount of gas nor the cost was a significant number. He got 6.385 gallons, which at 32 mpg (trip average assuming) comes to 204 miles since the last fillup, which we can extrapolate as being ~172 miles from 2229 E 46th St in Cleveland which would put him in the vicinity of Pittsburgh. It would probably be safe to assume that he filled up either in or near Irwin, PA, as that is really the closest place in the vicinity likely to have a gas station. Irwin is 151 miles from cleveland, so he really only went 183 miles, which puts the mpg for the enroute fillup at 28.6, or right around the combined average. Since this did involve a lot of city driving towards the end we'll give him that and still assume 32 mpg for the first and last legs of the trip. Irwin, PA is about 250 miles from his home going the most logical route to Cleveland, and at 32 mpg estimated he used approximately 7.8 gallons to get there. Presuming he started with a full tank (hopefully he would have filled up before leaving) he spent about $14.50 on gas.

So, Chris leaves his house, stops in Irwin to fill up for $14.50 (that makes me sick to see such a low price...), and makes it to Cleveland on that. If he did leave with $50 in his pocket that would leave him $35.50 to spend on tolls and food, which with his tastes shouldn't have cost that much. And yet, by the time he fills up at Sheetz in Streetsboro he's using the card.

Amazingly, he seems to be correct about the owner of the Game Place. On the subject of the response video, should it be placed on this page? Certainly it seems like that would be beneficial in making the events covered by the article easier to follow for future readers. On the other hand, I feel a little apprehensive about putting a non-Chris video in the middle of this article. Perhaps the video could have its own separate page? Granted, I feel even more apprehension towards that idea, as I don't think we should get into the habit of making pages for videos other than Chris's. Of course, it's already posted on [[Surfshack Tito (troll)]], but if events led him to make several more videos then that page will quickly turn into a mess. Chris doesn't really reference his father in any of these videos; despite having mentioned the family several times. When previous talking about his family, Chris almost always referred to Barb and Bob individually as "my mother and my father" (or some facsimile thereof). Could this possibly indicate Bob's demise? This section is just conjecture for now, I will try and do some more research to get more accurate information. Not sure what can be done as far as accuracy goes since the trip was 2 years ago and the chandlers are famous for not answering their phone, but I'll do what I can intelligently.

the recorded times we have for the trip are 4:25 @ the gas station, then 4:29 at Sonic (loyal to a fault, eh?). The sonic is right off the interstate, and the one hamburger at 4 in the afternoon probably took about 5 minutes to come out, and an estimated 5 minutes to eat and leave at around 4:40. With the 7 hour drive home as estimated by Google Maps this places Chris back home a little before midnight assuming traffic laws were obeyed. of course, Chris didn't make it back until 3 AM the following morning so he f'ed up along the way. He brought a novel, it's safe to say he read some of it while at Sonic.

working backwards, assuming he left the second location with the intention of gassing up and going home he left that location at approximately 3:45, taking 35 minutes to get to the station and put in ~6.5 gallons over the course of 5 minutes. NOTE: receipt is from a physical pump and so was prepaid with a card.

I'm going to estimate for now approximately 30 minutes of dickery at both locations, putting him at the old lady's house @ 3:15. factoring in a 7.5 hour drive has him leaving his parents' house at 7:45. He actually left at 5:30 according to the emily transcript, so there's about two hours missing from their that could be any number of factors. I doubt chris can go 7.5 hours without eating, and since he had a book with him he probably sat at the table eating for a while.

I don't believe this is speculatory except in regards to article expansion. I'm curious (and have been for some time) as to what actually happened during Chris' road trip to Ohio. I was able to find some more information about the trip by looking around but there doesn't seem to be one place that provides a summary of the trip. Seeing as how this was a poorly-thought out 800 mile round-trip during which Bob and Barbara filed a missing person's report it should be developed, either as a section of this article or, if more information can be gathered, possibly as an article of its own. I'll try and add some info to the article myself; if I mess it up please correct it.
