Chris would go on to major in CADD, combining his artistic interest with his attachment to the tool that made his saga possible. He dabbled in HTML after taking a relevant college course, surely feeling like an accomplished computer scientist in the process. In a tweet from 1 June 2021, he discussed his early childhood. Part of the tweet mentioned that the Chandler family owned a player, which was a failed early-80s video format that worked in a similar fashion to vinyl records, but used plastic caddies for storage and loading the discs into the player. Chris still had the CED machine as late as 2005 - it can be seen in a photo of himself taken around that time. The CED player ~~was probably~~ destroyed in the 2014 house fire. The CED player may have been destroyed in the 2014 house fire assuming it was still in Chris's possession at the time.

Chris has also had a lengthy history with the CED's more successful competitor, VHS cassettes, having grown up when it was the dominant home video format, prior to the rise of an eventual supplanting by DVDs in the early 2000s. Much of the available footage we have of Chris prior to the mid-2000s came from videotapes. Signal is a messenger app which features end-to-end encryption. Among its message options are video calls and texting. Chris learned about the app by using it to communicate with Null. In July 2021, Chris decided to brag to Bella about his incestuous acts with his mother, and he chose to use Signal to do so. Chris explained beforehand that he wanted to tell Bella the identity of the mysterious person he had been having sex with, but - as Chris was aware incest is illegal - he was concerned the government could "hack" in if he were to use an ordinary chat app. He suggested Bella use Signal instead. The Incest Call and Incest Texts then occurred. However, Chris's security solution was thwarted by Bella simply recording segments of the call with her iPad and downloading the texts and then sharing them with her friends until the files were leaked to the general public.

Weather Channel is a news app detailing weather updates. Chris has used it to study weather conditions such as wildfires in an attempt to divine conditions for the Dimensional Merge.
