			I was watching a let's play of the Original Sonic Adventure (the one with the perfect chaos monster that leads to the genesis of our ugh Hero Sonichu. Specifcally this let's play part:

If I remember correctly in the games, the characters can 'absorb' materia, and use it as a weapon.
