New page

Intro
In the US, the nation where CWCville is supposedly located, in addition to the Constitution ratified in 1788, the law of the land includes a list of 10 additional rights granted in 1791 in response to criticisms of the Constitution called the Bill of Rights, which consists of the first ten Amendments (to date there are in total 27, others of note including the Thirteenth, Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twenty-First. Just like many things that Chris disagrees with, it does not appear to be in effect in CWCville.

Humorously, Montpelier, home of Bill of Rights author Wikipedia:James Madison, is in the next county over from Chris (Orange County).

First Amendment
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Technically speaking, one of few things Chris does for the most part let slide is freedom of religion in Sonichu. It's not really addressed until Sonichu 11 but Jews are free to celebrate Hanukkah and jolly Buddhas are permitted, so technically there is no state religion in CWCville, but celebration of Christmas or some other late December holiday seems to be compulsory, at the penalty of being deemed a Scrooge. Also, only time will tell if Chris will impose worship of himself as the state religion.

Freedom of speech and the press, however, do not seem to be as high of priorities to Chris. Although laws against slander and defamation of character do exist in the States (usually these are civil, not criminal, issues), the freedom to criticize public figures, such as Chris himself, is most certainly not the law of the land in CWCville. Chris and the Electric Hedgehogs hold the power to censor any text or image Chris deems deplorable (such as Rosechu with a pickle). Of note, 4-cent-garbage is based out of Tennessee and Asperpedia is based out of Minnesota, two places outside of CWCville where the Bill of Rights is most certainly the law of the land, and yet Chris receives no prosecution for his destruction of both websites. And, of course, in CWCville, slander is grounds for the death penalty. Specifically with regards to the press, CWCville's only radio station appears to be state run and filled with pro-Chris propaganda, much like everything else.

Right to assembly and peaceful protest doesn't seem to be needed as every resident of CWCville is mindlessly worshipful of him. Rosechu's Sonichu 8 stripping for women's rights protest is legally permitted, but then again everything Rosechu does is likely above prosecution, so it's not the best example.

Right to petition never really comes up, the closest is in Sonichu 10 when they want to petition Obama to take down the Asperpedia, I suppose we can assume it stands as law in CWCville.

Second Amendment
Say what you will about the Second Amendment but we can all agree it was not meant to defend shooting your romantic rival in the shins to permanently cripple him. That said, Sonichu Special 4 is the only time that heroic characters ever use a gun - prior this was the weapon of choice only for Jerkops. And given that the Megatron Pistol is no longer in Chris' possession and his recent increasing far-left leanings it's possible that in CWCville the Second Amendment's days might be numbered.

Third Amendment
