Yeah, I know the ad thing hasn't played out but I'M WORKIN' ON IT. But I think one thing that would be easily to implement immediately would be buttons to two of our sister projects - CWCipedia and Asperpedia (though Asperpedia is more of a cousin than a sister). Ideally should be the same size as the public domain box at the bottom left corner of the CWCki, such that it can be placed in the left sidebar which can be clicked to send the user to CWCipedia or Asperpedia. Doesn't need to be flashy, just presentable. --Champthom 07:26, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Artist for hire
I'm a wannabe french artist whi wants to contribute to the Cwcki, the problem is that, even after reading this page, I don't know what I can do to help. I did upload a picture of sonichu quite a while ago, http://www.cogsdev.org/cwcki/File:Sonichou.jpg but since there's already a whole bunch of them, it's not really improving the site.
So my question is, what can I draw? (Also note that I'm a total dumbass when using wikipedia-based software,I don't even remember how to sucessfully upload any image, let alone sign this message.)

Revision as of 01:08, 19 February 2010

Does anyone think maybe we should move requests here instead of the main page? Thoughts? --Champthom 05:27, 31 December 2009 (CET)

  • Can do. And the front page can be converted into a gallery. --Umad 05:17, 8 January 2010 (UTC).

Requests

Post your requests for images here. Please be descriptive in what you want and for what purpose, and be sure to sign your comment. --Champthom 22:13, 30 November 2009 (CET)

  • I suggest the wannabe-drawfags visit here, see which characters have little or no "fanart" of them, and create it. We have lots of Chrises, Sonichus, Rosechus and Mary Lee Walshes, but too few "fanarts" of other characters. So... if this may be counted as a request, let that be it --GokuGetEm 22:47, 30 November 2009 (CET)
  • No offense but the purpose of the project isn't so much to get fanart or to promote (nothing wrong with that, Chris's awfulness tends to promote it in itself), but rather utilize the skills of these fanartists to make CWCki better. It'll work closely with the Fan Works index to create more specific art. --Champthom 05:46, 1 December 2009 (CET)
  • Ah, sorry, didn't understand it first. So, you mean to make original CWCki-made illustrations for articles? Like in Duck and Fapcup? Good idea. But then there's a question: which articles need such illustrations, and which would be better illustrated with photo material? --GokuGetEm 09:32, 1 December 2009 (CET)
  • We could use a tag for articles which need original content, mostly articles without pics at all. Yes, I do mean original CWCki made illustrations, exactly like the one for Fapcup (the Duck illustration was actually from ED, based on an old rumor that Chris would smear his penis with peanut butter to make it bigger). I'm not sure about that last part, but if you can find an existing photo, fine, but if not, then ask an artist to draw up something. --Champthom 09:35, 1 December 2009 (CET)
  • How about this? --GokuGetEm 11:18, 1 December 2009 (CET)

This article is in need of original illustrations. Help the CWCki and the Artist Commune project by drawing some original illustrations and inserting them into the article.

Holiday Banners

I've gotten a few holiday banners from /cwc/ and PVCC, which are great, but for other major holidays would be good. If someone could do one for Festivus, that'd be fantastic. --Champthom 11:31, 1 December 2009 (CET)

Here's my shoop, don't know if someone else got to it before me, but if they didn't there's my shitacular attempt, lol. --James Lamp-Eye 07:31, 4 December 2009 (CET)

One more that I think we could use - one to celebrate New Year's Day, 2010. --Champthom 05:29, 13 December 2009 (CET)

  • Love it! Those paper hats I think are more of a Eurofag thing but I think they're also an old sort of thing, like you'd see people from the 50s wear which is classy.--Champthom 12:15, 19 December 2009 (CET)

CWCki ads

Since the "Wanted" ad on the side is getting kinda old, I was thinking we could have some fun ads on the side, in the same vein as the ones on CWCipedia but instead of using it as a way to troll Chris, it'd be a fun way to spice up the CWCki. Here are some ideas I have:

These are just some starting suggestions but ideally should be things from the CWC-universe (please, no ads for Fanta or anything stupid like that). Ideally it should mimic real life ads and should fit on the side. Otherwise, have fun. --Champthom 09:51, 5 December 2009 (CET)

  • i've set up the advertisement box. or, i've tried, and am waiting for the god damn thing to fix itself. hopefully should be working in at most 12 hours --cogsdev/vedsgoc 12:34, 5 December 2009 (CET)
  • I really love the Tobacky one. Anyways, I've made a category for all the ads. For reference, ads should be around 140 x 300, about the same size as the smaller ads on CWCipedia, but F4P had the right idea. Also got a few from people on Krapple. --Champthom 22:14, 5 December 2009 (CET)
  • I've made another advert for America's Favorite Game, although I'm not sure how to add it to the CWCiki ad category. Butch Dykemans 07:50, 7 December 2009 (CET)
    • Just add to the description of the image. --Fight4Peace
  • Could someone also make an ad promoting straightness? Seems only right. Also, need to speak to Cogs to get the advertisement thing to work.--Champthom 01:15, 13 December 2009 (CET)

Pics for Chris Sex Logs

I think Chris Sex Logs could use some pictures. Pretty much choose any fun quote and make a picture of it, the primary constraint being that the picture should be able to have a quote from the transcript as a caption. Otherwise, go crazy. --Champthom 08:51, 19 December 2009 (CET)

  • Chris Sex Logs now has two illustrations. Is that enough, or do you want moar? --SnorlaXBOX 17:39, 28 December 2009 (CET)
  • If you feel like doing more, by all means do so, but otherwise what you have done is fantastic. --Champthom 05:11, 31 December 2009 (CET)

CWCki-tan

Make fanart of CWCki-tan to promote its usage. Figure out ways to incorporate it into stuff. --Champthom 05:11, 31 December 2009 (CET)

  • Hai guise, just thought I'd upload my cwciki-tan fan art. btw, how do I join artist commune?--Whattheshit 14:37, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
  • Pretty sure it's open invites--just make art and put a artfag on your user page, if you feel like bragging =) --Umad 15:01, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Exterior shot of Hotel Ricky Ricardo

An exterior shot of the outside of Hotel Ricky Ricardo would jazz up the article a bit. --Champthom 05:22, 31 December 2009 (CET)

  • You got it. I'm not good at buildings or scenery but I'll do what I can. SnorlaXBOX 08:13, 31 December 2009 (CET)
  • Can't be worse than Chris, and he has a CADD degree :3. --Champthom 09:29, 31 December 2009 (CET)

Mailbag pics

As discussed on SnorlaXBOX's talk page, I think some pics for Mailbag responses would be good - ideally pics that can be associated with a quote from Chris's mailbag response and obviously things that work graphically - Chris giving advice for someone isn't really going to translate well as a drawing. Not every Mailbag needs it, but if there's something particularly amusing Chris has said, then have a drawing associated with it. --Champthom 09:29, 31 December 2009 (CET)

  • I call the Pirate email from Mailbag 23. --Needlepants 01:23, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

How The Pokemon, Pokeballs, etc. etc.

I'm working on an illustration of Mewchu right now (although really, it's turning into Dr. Manhattan Super Saiyan 3 Mewtwo Sonichu). Any other scenes that would work for this thing? (OTHER than the whole 'pokemon cumming lolololol' thing) --Needlepants 06:55, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

  • "Gentlemen, there is a god, and he's an Electric-Hedgehog Pokémon." Hope you like. ...I know Mewchu isn't an Electric-Hedgehog Pokémon, but it was too much to resist. --Needlepants 19:28, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Sister project buttons

Yeah, I know the ad thing hasn't played out but I'M WORKIN' ON IT. But I think one thing that would be easily to implement immediately would be buttons to two of our sister projects - CWCipedia and Asperpedia (though Asperpedia is more of a cousin than a sister).
