To become a passive observer, you have to meet all of the following criteria:

When people first hear of Chris, they will become interested or fascinated. While some will evolve into White Knights, A-Logs, Enablers, or Weens, there are those who choose to keep their distance from Chris and don't want to be a negative influence on him.

These people are what we call passive observers. They enjoy Chris's antics from the delightful view of the moral high-ground, and recognise that Chris really needs help from the people around him and trained professionals, not random people on the internet. Having a support group online of people who have your back is ok, but you're not going to convince him that the dimensional merge wont happen by pretending to be CPU Silver heart of the LeapPad Ultimate.

The Cwcki as passive observers

Some passive observers decide to record the more interesting and comedic events of Chris's life. On the Cwcki, avoiding direct contact with Chris is essential, along with trying to remain unbiased, but a little ribbing is ok. The Cwcki's wealth of information over the years has been gained from Chris's inability to keep information to himself, his incredible honesty has made sure we know everything we need to know without having to befriend him. Open-ended questions have also been a good way to get information in the past, as we've discovered from mailbags, and details of how to ask Chris a good question are provided below.

Criteria

Passive Observers are strongly encouraged to avoid doing the following:

  • Being a negative influence on Chris - Observers are fully aware that his mental health is feeble and his grasp on reality is tenuous.
  • Defending Chris - Observers are fully aware that Chris is by no means innocent and that he is beyond help.
  • Expressing hatred for Chris and over exaggerating his flaws - Observers are aware that this makes them no better than Chris. They are wise enough to keep those feelings of hate to themselves.
  • Encouraging Chris’ bad habits in any way - Observers are fully aware that playing along with Chris’ lifestyle is a very bad idea, as it only gives him more of a reason to remain child-like.
  • Attempts to troll or annoy Chris - Observers are fully aware that this not only is most likely to fail, it's also extremely pathetic and often comes back to bite them.
  • Passive observers keep their distance from Chris. They don't directly message Chris on any of the social platforms he is on. If Chris is bothering a passive observer, the passive observer chooses to ignore him.

Q&A Advisory Guidelines

Its perfectly possible to maintain your passive observer status, if you want to ask Chris your question.

The question itself needs to be properly formulated, this means you have to follow a set of guidelines:
