Date?

Unless this video was just shot - as in, within the past two hours - the events of this video did not take place on 13 June 2009. At the most recent, this all must have taken place yesterday evening, even if the video wasn't uploaded until the wee hours of this morning. This may sound like splitting hairs, but I'm trying to keep our content TRUE and HONEST. Llort 08:12, 13 June 2009 (CEST)

  • Yeah, it took place yesterday, my mistake, just looked at my desk calendar to see and forgot it was technically yesterday. --Champthom 08:27, 13 June 2009 (CEST)

Classification

I'm not sure about putting this with the Captain's Log videos. I think they should be reserved for videos he releases himself. As there may be more videos of this type coming, IMO we should create a new template for troll videos featuring Chris (the date vid would go there, for instance). What do you think CWCki? --Delabonte 16:56, 13 June 2009 (CEST)

  • That's a valid suggestion, but I think we'd better wait to see what does come in the future. For right now, shoving it into "Other" strikes me as perfectly acceptable, since, well, "Other" is an awfully flexible category. I think it would look a little silly to have a new template with just two troll-made videos in it. We can cross the "new template" bridge when we come to it. Llort 17:30, 13 June 2009 (CEST)
  • Technically, these are videos uploaded by his "friends" that trolls seemed to find instantly (GEE, I WONDER WHY...?). Yeah, just put in other. If there's more videos that come this way along these lines, maybe "From the Field" or "From Friends' or something like that.--Champthom 00:31, 15 June 2009 (CEST)
  • I vote "From the Field", whenever we get there. --Whoreos n' Milf 19:59, 21 June 2009 (CEST)

Title?

Why is this page called "Long Island Iced Tea?" What's wrong with calling this page by the video's actual title: "CWC Grip n' Sip"? (Technically, I think we should call it "Grip 'n' Sip" if we use the original title, since the "CWC" is redundant and the " n' " is a typo (or style error) for " 'n' ", but my point remains the same.) Llort 17:37, 13 June 2009 (CEST)

  • Because the page was originally going to be about the drink and the fact Chris drank it, not so much about the actual video. But now we've solved the problem by calling it "Chris's Big Night Out." --Champthom 03:51, 15 June 2009 (CEST)

Reaction?

One final objection: do we really need a "Reaction" section? This seems like recentism at best and a strange sort of anonymous name-faggotry at worst. I don't totally object to the information included within this section being a part of this page, but I think that whatever's there that's worth saving should just be incorporated into the main summary section. Llort 17:41, 13 June 2009 (CEST)

  • Yeah, definitely NOT reactions. Sets a bad precedent and we really shouldn't be documenting what people think about it (unless it's like that radio station, in which case that's a pretty notable thing to document). But seriously, we shouldn't be documenting what random fuckers on PVCC and /cwc/ for that matter think about this video or any video. --Champthom 18:58, 13 June 2009 (CEST)

Simpsons Reference

Chris's motive for drinking a Long Island iced tea should be cited. The videos provided by the field agent didn't contain information regarding his reason to drink. Decoy Octillery 20:21, 13 June 2009 (CEST)

  • Shit dude, Long Island iced tea is a strong drink, then again Chris is no lightweight--Robotnik 08:21, 25 June 2009 (CEST)
  • Well, yeah, but this is Chris. He probably connected the 'iced tea' part with the sweet tea at McDonalds, equated that this meant basically completely non-alcoholic and ordered. I'd bet anything he didn't even look up exactly what he'd put into his body... ever. On a side note, we need to find conformation of that Mike's Hard and sugar-in-the-beer stuff. That's just perfectly hypocritical, and I should have foreseen it with how he is with everything. --LizardPie 08:55, 25 June 2009 (CEST)
  • Chris was totally aware of the fact he was drinking. This was something he was thinking about for a while as field agents were suggesting that he at least try having a little alcohol once as one drink wasn't going to kill him. A Long Island Iced Tea is a non-threatening drink, and I can confirm Chris did cite that Simpsons episode where Marge drinks Long Island Iced Teas. Yeah, it's not like he was tricked into drinking. --Champthom 19:14, 25 June 2009 (CEST)

Merge?

So Scarlet Sanctum released two new videos of Chris from TGIF. Should we add them to this? Also, should we merge this with the karaoke article? New videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__TCYRdw4p8 --Mr Mittens

  • Yes, definitely. --Champthom 05:12, 14 June 2009 (CEST)
  • Okay, I'm not exactly sure how to integrate them into the page properly(they're only a few seconds long), so for now I'll just put links to the new videos at the bottom of the page. Feel free to do whatever you want.

--Mr Mittens

Make that three new videos from Scarlet Sanctum! We're seriously gonna have to move all of this page and all of Chris Loves The Night Life - plus these three new videos and everything that will soon be written about them - to one huge page entitled "Chris's Big Night Out" or something. Hoo-boy... we troll in exciting times, fellas! Llort 05:55, 14 June 2009 (CEST)

  • Good idea, but let's wait for additional videos to surface, they seem to be popping up pretty quickly. --Mr Mittens
  • Beat me to the punch., Llort. I think that an article about Chris's night out might be in order, as opposed to individual pages for each video. --Champthom 11:15, 14 June 2009 (CEST)

Christopher

Glad it wasn't me who thought they said "Christopher." I wonder why he's opting to be called "Christopher." Fear trolls will slit his throat if they hear it's indeed Christian? Trying to stay low from being e-famous? Most odd. --Champthom 00:23, 15 June 2009 (CEST)

  • It's certainly puzzling, but it's one of my favorite moments out of all of Chris's Big Night Out. Back when "Chris Loves The Night Life" had its own article, I was pleased with myself for beginning the summary with "A mysterious party animal known only as 'Christopher'...". Unfortunately, a joke line like that wouldn't fit or make sense any more, now that all of the videos are together. Anyway... the mystery continues! Llort 00:39, 15 June 2009 (CEST)
  • I guess this is actually a mirror event to The Naming Of Christian. You know, when a bear at a parade made a mistake and called the little Christopher "Christian". The boy took it as a sign, and thus started the years of Fail. Now, some DJ at a shitty restaurant made a mistake and called the grown-up (well, at least, physically) Christian "Christopher". Could it be another sign? Could it mean a change of life for Chris in the future? Could Chris not be a retard and take it as a sign to change his life? Only time will tell --GokuGetEm 11:27, 4 December 2009 (CET)

Club?

Scarlet says CWC performed "I love the nightlife" over at TGIF. Last time I checked, TGI Friday's wasn't a club, just a crappy restaurant, which explains the kids and balloons (and lack of gyrating). So, unless there's any objections, I'll amend that section. --Jump 01:01, 15 June 2009 (CEST)

  • I can ask "Scarlet" to confirm because from what she told me, they want to some local bar/restaurant (that really isn't a club). --Champthom 01:18, 15 June 2009 (CEST)

Order?

Does anyone know what the actual chronological order of these videos is? When this page was being created, we just added videos in the order that they were uploaded to YouTube. That was fine as a temporary measure, but it doesn't make much sense to leave them that way indefinitely. Llort 18:14, 3 July 2009 (CEST)

  • I can ask "Scarlet" to see if she can remember what order they were taken in. --Champthom 23:45, 3 July 2009 (CEST)

"Goes down salty" source?

I forgot how "Goes down salty" refers to Chris and his navy. --FromtheWordsofBR (talk) 23:46, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
