The Classic and Modern separations

I think it would be better to keep those sections merged. The separation implies that the older views aren't as prevalent, but things like dreams, imaginary friends, and magic powers began in the Classic era and only got stronger over time, while beliefs like the Curse-ye-ha-me-ha haven't been relevant for awhile. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 06:53, 18 December 2019 (UTC)

In separating Classic delusions from more recent ones, I thought it would emphasise, especially to any newcomers, that Chris's confused relation with reality long antedates the Idea Guys. It seemed natural to distinguish the beliefs that have had over a decade (!) now to fester, and are also relevant to understanding Classical events, from those which Chris has adopted more recently. ChanOfTartary (talk) 15:12, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
I think it is important to consider that the basis of all recent fantasies revolve around Chris's belief that CWCville and his characters were real, if I recall correctly from Fredrik Knudsen’s documentary. Chris's belief that CWCville and his characters are real should be acknowledged as an important factor behind all the recent fantasies, and is actually the main reason why I got interested in Chris in the first place. --Little Owl (talk) 16:05, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
There's already a separation to distinguish between Chris's own delusions with the ones introduced or were heavily influenced by the Idea Guys, though - the former being listed in "Magical thinking and wish fulfillment" and the latter in "Beliefs/OCs instilled into Chris." Also, many of the beliefs from Magical that had been split to Modern were essentially continuations of Classic beliefs. Like the PsychicPowers videos are extensions of his Classic belief that he has magic powers, the Hasbro protest an extension of his beliefs in imaginary friends/dreams, etc. I feel it brings up the question of where do we draw the line for filing a belief as Classic or Modern. I think ChanofTartary's idea to put key links in bold suffices at conveying the importance of those beliefs to Chris. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 03:36, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
Maybe as a compromise we can split the Magical section into Core Beliefs (CWCville, dreams, imaginary friends, conspiracy theories, magic powers) and Extensions. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 13:36, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
Sort of yes, although I do not imply any pressure for change. To me, the evolution of fantasies seems to resemble a tree, which started simple, and then branched out into a complicated series of modern and Idea Guys-influenced fantasies, some of which tie in with each other. There is no doubt that the current situation with Chris’s fantasies is complicated enough to make anyone dizzy. --Little Owl (talk) 13:52, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
