The Bad Beginning

The Idea Guys manipulate Chris into apologizing for actions he did not commit.

The Bad Beginning is the name given to a nine-hour Discord chat log, which occurred between Chris, Joshua Wise and Stephen Boyd from 8 April to 9 April 2018. While this is not the first contact between Chris and the Idea Guys, the chat log is given this name — believed to be a reference to the first book from Daniel Handler's A Series Of Unfortunate Events — due to being the first discussion the Guard Dogs were able to archive. It is also a foundation for the worst of their psychological manipulations of Chris. The chat log was later leaked by Guard Dog Null to Kiwi Farms on 19 July 2018.

The log, as archived by the Guard Dogs, uses the full names of the Idea Guys; for the CWCki, it is modified in order to refer to the characters they were role-playing as.

Highlights

• Having previously manipulated Chris into believing that he is a pedophile, the Idea Guys threaten to expose Chris if he doesn't pay them $20,000.
• Wise role plays as Symphogear character Finé, Magi-Chan, Cryzel, and Sword Art Online character Pitohui; and Boyd as Gwen.
• Chris uploads a photo of a pickle he graffitied on his bedroom wall. Six days later, he would upload a video of him licking said wall.
• Chris shows Barb his defaced wall, which leaves her "shocked and offended."
• Chris uploads a drawing of characters mid-orgy.
• Chris goes into great detail regarding the laws of CWCville.
• Chris uploads Chris apologizes to Gwen.
