We can add some references to the article, that is references Chris has made to his birth name. For instance, there's a comic where Sarah Hammer calls out "Christopher!" to establish that they've known each other since they were small children, and all the videos wher he's mentioned Christopher. --[[User:Champthom|Champthom]] 08:49, 31 August 2009 (CEST) | We can add some references to the article, that is references Chris has made to his birth name. I have a theory about Chris's name change. Chris says he decided to change his name because of the bear, but maybe it has something to do with him getting taken out of Nathanael Greene Elementary School? 1992-1993 is supposedlywhen the name change occurred, and it was around that time when Chris got taken out of school and the Chandlers moved. Maybe Bob and Snorlax decided to change Chris's name in addition to moving to another county so the state wouldn't force him to take special classes. And maybe when a young Chris asked why he had his name changed Barb could have brought up the bear getting his name wrong and Chris believed that to be true. Of course I could be mistaken and these events have no actual connection, but you never know with Chris. --[[User:Sack Thaddic|Sack Thaddic]] 07:23, 6 December 2009 (CET) |

I really think there should just be an article about why Chris changed his name and just that as opposed to an article about the bear band, an article about the mall, and an article about the conductor, then discuss his references to Christopher in the comics and other media and such. --Champthom 20:55, 4 May 2009 (CEST)

- Looking at the date of the name change, it could be assumed that Chris's name change coincided with the point at which he stopped maturing. Chris has the mental capacity of a 12-13-year-old, the age when his name was changed from Christopher to Christian.--Howsyourham 02:28, 16 July 2009 (CEST)
- Actually, he changed his name around age 7, which is about how old Chris is mentally (lol). --Champthom 08:49, 31 August 2009 (CEST)
- That's a hell of an idea, How's Your Ham. If only we could test it by reverting Chris's name to Christopher. Would those missing years all rush in at once, or would he just start maturing from when his name got back? I'd place my money on the latter. Ensign disposable 02:54, 16 July 2009 (CEST)
- I'd be willing to go "all in" on "no change whatsoever". Llort 03:49, 16 July 2009 (CEST)

Renaming
I'm tempted to rename this article "Christopher Weston Chandler" to encompass the split personality aspect (not just his recent video, but also videos from Liquid saga emphasizing shit about how Christopher was in his blue eye or some shit like that) and have the article focus on the persona "Christopher" and it's usage, with the actual circumstances leading to the name change (which the article is currently about) as a subsection.
Thoughts? --Champthom 14:13, 31 August 2009 (CEST)
Absolutely. --Sonijew 21:58, 1 September 2009 (CEST)
Saved from another article:
Christopher | Christian | |
---|---|---|
Voice | High pitched, fast, slurred | Slightly less high pitched, slow, slurred |
Personality | Shrill, demanding | Dopey, (kind-of) rational |
