It probably can't be worked into the article in any way, but the mention that Chris was using the 'trolling' method of fishing reminded me of this. In Japanese, the word for 'fishing' (tsuri) is the same word for 'trolling' (i.e fishing for responses).

Since this article is Japan-related and all...
