About
Hello there, this is the user page for DarkWestern. I'm a less than successful YouTube personality, and a fan of Chris Chan.
My Chris Chan related content is me unboxing the autographed Ian Brandon Anderson picture I overpayed Chris Chan for, I corrected a few missing words from the Shojo Beat article containing one of Chris' letters. I also have/soon will have physical copies of every article published which contained an article Chris sent in. My artist girlfriend also made me a Sonichu medallion despite how autistic such a request was.
Sprung Article Quest
My current mission is to find the exact issue, and page of the Nintendo Power containing Chris' letter regarding Sprung. I have narrowed it down to March/April 2004 of Nintendo Power, and am awaiting the physical copies in the mail to verify. I suspect it may be later than March/April 2004, possibly 2005...
This is all we have so far. Even this very CWCki has not the exact origins of the article.
Update 5/9/2019
As it turns out, neither issue of Nintendo Power [ 178-179 ] that I purchased on eBay contain the Sprung article which eludes and haunts me... I have done so much research, the Wayback Machine has been useful for finding the source of this article.. I am now fairly convinced that the article is on Nintendo Power issue 190... I am broke AF right now, but I get paid tomorrow, and issue 190 is on my shopping list...
Update 5/14/2019
Yes! My Sprung article quest is finally over! Sonichu's News Dash Issue #8 has all but confirmed my suspicions regarding the Sprung article, it is not from 2004, but 2005, and in issue 190. I am awaiting my copy of 190 in the mail to 'super confirm' it. Once I get it in the mail, and can 'super confirm' that everything is correct, I will go in and make micro-edits to the articles regarding Sprung which have incorrect information.
Here is the picture with Chris Chan's handwriting specifying the year, month, issue, page, and correcting Nintendo Power writers of where his location is.
I'll update you as more information comes in!
