:*CWCki, as I see it, strives to be open and people should be encouraged to edit it. Going into IRC shouldn't really be a prerequisite of CWCki. Some people don't like IRC and that's fine. Frankly, we're not really in a position to restrict users. As cogs said, she's working on installing an extension which will can easily spot vandalism and reverse it instantly since Cogs, myself, and Clyde can't monitor CWCki every single second. There's some really neat stuff bots can do with MediaWiki in respect to vandalism.
