Personally? I don't hate Chris. The only reason I support the trolling of Chris is because I believe it truly helps him understand reality better. I don't do it for the lulz, and I don't do it because he's a terrible person, I do it because I see the potential that Chris has as a functional member of society. Unlikely? Perhaps. But if Chris can do it, I think that sends a message to everybody that anybody can change for the better.
