Template talk:Stub
Proposed new stub template
I don't think the current stub template's all that great. It just says the article sucks, when instead it should convey an article's brevity. There can be stubs that don't suck, and long articles that do suck, so they're two different things. Anyway, I quickly gimped an image and knocked up a possible new template, see below.
Thoughts? --Great Briton 21:28, 29 July 2009 (CEST)
- Clever, but I think most people try to clear their head of the image of Chris's crotch, even if it is censored. --Champthom 00:06, 30 July 2009 (CEST)
- Also, I do think that you're right about the text and that the current template doesn't really convey brevity (then again, that's because it was like, the first template made here as something to hold us over as people were trying to copy stuff from the old CWCki), but a different image or theme should be used other than Chris's crotch. --Champthom 00:08, 30 July 2009 (CEST)

Better? --Great Briton 14:30, 30 July 2009 (CEST)
- Why not just apply this text to the current template with its regular pickle pic? Llort 14:55, 30 July 2009 (CEST)
- While we're on the subject of article length: it might actually be time to create whatever the opposite of a stub template is. There are already some articles on CWCki that have grown a fair bit longer than they need to be, even when keeping in mind that "no detail is too minor". But that's just my opinion. - I already made Template:Oversized, check it out. --Great Briton 16:21, 30 July 2009 (CEST)
Compromise
I edited the stub so now it reads "This article, like Chris's pickle, is a bit small. You can help CWCki by expanding it" playing off the theme of the article being short like Chris's penis without actually invoking Chris's crotch directly. If you think it sucks, by all means change it back or make it something better. My only thing is that the image should be small-ish, not a huge one to take up a lot of space. --Champthom 13:25, 31 July 2009 (CEST)
