A History (sort of) with Chris

First of all, I'm not a troll. In the past (and sometimes to this day) I mess with people online. On websites like Omegle. But never once have I trolled Chris, or anyone like him on the internet. I prefer to let other people handle the dirty work, while I sit back and get my lulz. Plus I have a job and responsibilities that prevent me from having fun with everyone's favorite manchild...

Sometimes when I go to a store (being the cheap bastard that I am)I'll read the magazines there right off the rack. I'm not the creepy guy that hangs out there for a few hours, but sometimes I'll skim through them to see if there's anything interesting that might convince me to buy said magazine. Needless to say, this tactic doesn't work well in porn shops...

Anyway, one day some time in 2005 I was reading an issue of Nintendo Power, and decided to check out the "Letters to the Editor" section. I like to read other people's opinions on certain things, and it's funny to see people ripping into certain reporters over an article they did in their last issue.

This particular issue of Nintendo Power happened to have Chris's letter in it. I know what you're probably thinking. Why would I remember such a trivial letter written by a guy I had never even met?

Well, the reason I rememebered said letter was because when "Sprung" was released... well, let's just say it didn't get favorable ratings. Most every magazine and website gave the game a very low score, saying it was a waste of time and didn't teach you how to talk to girls. Apparently Chris thought it did, however...

One of the things that grabbed my attention in the letter was that he said he was trying to silently attract girls using signs. Now, this was odd to me. I never actually thought he was using actual signs. I thougt he meant he was winking at them, motioning for them to come hither, or something along those lines...

I remember thinking "Wow, this poor guy... no wonder he's still a frustrated virgin. He doesn't understand that you actually have to speak to a female in order for her to develop something of an interest in you..."

Though I found the letter odd (and the fact the he willingly admitted in a publication that he was a "frustrated virgin") it wasn't something I dwelled on. Honestly, who would? But every once in a while, when someone would bring up the steaming pile of fail that was "Sprung", I would reply "I don't know... I think it worked for some people..." and I would always remember that letter to NP from that poor, frustrated virgin...
