A Different Point of View (title pending) is a fancomic dealing with the repercussions of the Chris-chan saga in the context of the real world. It includes satirical and surrealist elements as well as a serious and straightforward look at a man we're all too familiar with.

Otherwise, there's nothing to see here at the moment.

Mary Lee Walsh, a popular and well-established dean of a local community college, receives a report from a student regarding a strange male student soliciting with a crudely-made poster. Concerned, Mary calls her close friend Nate Reldniak and describes the man. Nate, a former Abercrombie employee, connects her description to a similar loiterer who used to hang around the store.

They agree to visit the mall together on the weekend, where they arrive just in time to rescue an innocent girl from the Red String of Fate. Nate calls security and escorts the girl to safety, while Mary confronts the man. Chris calls her a witch and attempts to Curse-ye-ha-me-ha her, but security handcuffs him and leads him out of the building.

Nate and Mary return to Nate's home, where they research Chris and find his Encyclopedia Dramatica page. Mary insists he deserves the page's caustic tone and abundance of intimate details, while Nate finds himself troubled by his findings. He struggles with the choice between letting his conscience guide him or doing society a favor and trying to get Chris locked up. Nate's partner George is of the latter opinion.

Mary conducts further research and learns that some people are planning to take Chris to a bar. She firmly insists that Nate comes with her. In turn, George also insists on accompanying them, despite Nate's concerns.

Christian Weston Chandler
Portrayed here as a deluded, doughy man-child with little ability to distinguish fantasy from reality. Here, he is most similar to his 2004-2005 state, with the Attraction Sign and Red String still intact and in use. His history combines elements from different eras (e.g. mixing the Love Quest era with the late 2007 ED page and the late 2009/early 2010 bizarre hate speech), but his overall characterization is kept fairly close to that of the real person.

Mary Lee Walsh
A headstrong woman who tolerates zero bullshit. She is the most aggressive about pursuing Chris and preventing him from bothering or harming her students. She believes Chris brings all of his problems upon himself. She's organized and dedicated, but has a terribly short fuse. Nate was one of her students when she first came to PVCC, and the two are old friends.

Nate Reldniak
The antithesis of Chris. Nate is a ripped ex-Abercrombie employee in a stable relationship with his black policeman partner, George. Kind-hearted and altruistic, Nate has many Gal-pals, including Mary Lee Walsh. He has an even temper and handles verbal conflict in a mature way. Despite his utter revulsion for Chris and his prejudices, he feels a great deal of pity at the same time, and troll's remorse hampers his ability to choose sides.

George Greene
A cop who serves as a voice of reason. He mediates between Mary's aggressive approach and Nate's indecisiveness. However, he won't sit idly by as Chris--or anyone--spouts hate speech. He's firmly grounded in the law and unlike Chris, is well versed in the specifics of it. Though he's good at working through conflicts, he tends to take things too seriously and is a bit high-strung.
