Removed the line "It may be worth mentioning that during the video he mentions Circuit City, which is where he presumably purchased the box set in the first place." It's not worth mentioning, it is a line from the "Cleveland Live!" episode of The Cleveland Show, and nothing more.--ShadowMoses 01:53, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
*So I'm assuming that the line about eMachines and Dell computers and cart racing came from the show as well? I've never seen the show. Also should we link to this video? It seems oddly prescient http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDyg8bxeyTM Švek 07:28, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
I think the other subject matter on this one should be racism as well Sinisterminister 05:37, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
*Why? Because Cleveland Brown is black? That's a dumb reason. Chris isn't being a racist here, he's just being stupid and is parroting some skits he saw on TV. --Marty Chang 06:03, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
Do we really need all these EPIC REACTION IMAGES on the CWCki? The past 5 or so video articles have this shit for absolutely no reason other than to have a picture in the article to make it seem beefier. Fanart is alright (along with pictures Chris took himself or screencaps of the video to help round out the idea of the article) but we don't need screencaps of the Cleveland Show or The Flintstones. Removed the image for this article, but I'm leaving similar images in other articles. --Marty Chang 06:03, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
* I concur. I found the reactions in the comedians video were particularly out of place, as well. Graduon4eva 11:39, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
What's the accent he's actually putting on here? It doesn't SOUND like Cleveland. --Black Pickle 08:32, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
*For about 10 seconds, when he started to sing the theme song he almost approached sounding like Cleveland. Also, it's about time he apologized to the world. Mupkids 12:16, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
Was Chris about to apologise for the video being racist and instead said weak? --Black Pickle 08:32, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
*I think he was about to say "bad", then decided "weak" would be less stressful to say. Bunsteaks 10:21, 13 October 2010 (PDT)
Is he checking some form of prompter during the song? Whenever he loses his place he looks out the side of the DVD at something off screen. -- Mexican 16:19, 14 October 2010 (PDT)
:No, he always looks away from the camera nervously like that. Eamoo 17:11, 14 October 2010 (PDT)
*I have to disagree with you Eamoo. When the video gets to one minute and ten seconds, it looks and sounds like Chris forgot the words to the rest of the theme song, he then looks left, away from the camera, and starts to read something off-screen. Whatever it was, it helped him get back to his terrible singing. --Delatrix 8:12, 15 October 2010 (PDT) |
