*** Those would suggest just the same; that a translated Japanese version exists. Yes, to Japanese speakers, (those more competent than myself) it's quite obviously snarking the series, and to people who've been here a while, it's a foregone conclusion that Chris can't quite handle his mother tongue, much less Japanese, but new members would draw the wrong conclusion--that Chandler somehow made a competent Japanese version of the series. --[[User:The Mad Butcher Of Insert Country Here|The Mad Butcher Of Insert Country Here]] 21:50, 2 March 2011 (PST) | |||
****The reason I was asking was because Champ had only removed the first one, and I was wondering if that meant there was a reason to keep the other ones. The other ones have been removed since. Japanese texts
Do we really need to plaster strings of Japanese onto the page?
The translation for Punchy's name is plain inaccurate; The other translations, while correct, are still unnecessary and jarring. We can have a Japanese CWCki later if there are enough people translating it, but there's no point doing it here and now.
I know these are also probably attempts to refer to the stereotyping by Chris, but still, we can explain it well without the plastering. It simply disrupts the flow and clarity of the article. Sidre 06:01, 25 February 2011 (PST)
