Formerly an off-brand generic Transformer, like a Gobot, Crackder has since been upgraded to be a Decepti-Clone, and thus an actual Transformer, again like the Gobots.
His name is a portmanteau of the Decepticons Thundercracker and...um...Thundercracker.
