28 October 2011 is the day that Chris and Barbara allegedly visited The GAMe PLACe and had an altercation with its owner, Michael Snyder. Aside from Chris taking several photos of Michael on the day, it later transpired that he and Barb had been formally charged by police for various offences - including trespass, assault and fail to stop.
The charges
Below are the charges brought against both Barbara and Chris, along with details and court dates based on the details from the General District Court Online Case Information System. At present we do not have a full account of what happened during the incident and under what circumstances the charges were brought against the pair. However, based on at least one previous incident in June 2010, we can assume a rough outline of events.
Barbara's
- FAIL STOP ACCIDENT > $1000 FEL
- Class 5 Felony charge - Failing to stop after an accident where the damage exceeds $1000 in value. Speculated to be damage to a vehicle in The GAMe PLACe parking lot.
- ASSLT: ON LAW ENF/DOC PERSON
- Class 6 Felony charge - Assaulting a law enforcement official. This may have happened later when an officer visited the Chandler house, since the "Fail to Stop" charge would indicate that neither Barb or Chris stuck around at The GAMe PLACe for the police to turn up.
Court dates
- 31 October 2011 - Appeared in court to be formally charged.
- 15 December 2011 - Due to appear in court again, possibly for the hearing.
Chris's
- FAIL STOP ACCIDENT > $1000 FEL
- Class 5 Felony charge - Failing to stop after an accident where the damage exceeds $1000 in value. Speculated to be damage to a vehicle in The GAMe PLACe parking lot.
- ASSAULT: (MISDEMEANOR)
- Class 1 Misdemeanor charge - Attempted or actual assault against another person. Speculated to be Chris trying to hit Michael Snyder, which he has tried at least once before.
- TRESPASS AFTER FORBIDDEN
- Class 1 Misdemeanor charge - Tresspassing on land or within an area from which the offender is forbidden (by restraining order or police order). Most likely due to Chris entering or walking on to GAMe PLACe land, including driving onto the parking lot.
Court dates
- 7 November 2011 - Date Chris is due in court. Unlike Barb, Chris has not yet appeared in court to have the charges formally announced.
