How did Chris obtain the Oestrogel? Because if it's a prescription medication, there's no way he could've gotten it legally.....Maybe someone sent it to him? EssentialAwakening (talk) 16:03, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
Untrue claim
> It is, unsurprisingly, not recommended at all for gender transitioning, irrespective of how it's applied.
This is nonsense. I'm a ACTUAL transsexual woman and Oestrogel (or other brand names of Estradiol gel) is a common (and unlike tablets quite safe) medication for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and is used by thousands of people around the world for transitioning. I will remove that wrong claim from the article. -- Realts (talk) 00:34, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Actually the original poster was correct. Estradiol topical, developed by Solvay Pharmaceuticals, was first approved by the FDA on 9 February 2004 "for the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms (VSM), as well as vulvar and vaginal atrophy (VVA) associated with the menopause."[1] The application of it for any other means is obviously unsanctioned by the FDA. So regardless of if it being widely abused in the tranny community, it is not an appropriate drug for Chris to be using.--Galilean (talk) 05:33, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
