*When I make a redirect, I consider what article most people are looking for when they search for it.  As you said, about 99% of people who search for Squirtle have Yawning Squirtle in mind.  The reason most other pokemon names redirect to Pokemon is because they don't have their own pages.  --T K 19 08:00, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
*What about Snorlax? That's a pretty well-known nickname for Barb, but it redirects to Pokemon instead of the page about her. Pugs Malone 18:19, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
**I didn't make that redirect.  I probably would have if I did.  Although, that one is a bit more vague, since it is a nickname rather than what she actually is.  --T K 19 19:57, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

While it's safe to assume that 99% of the time if someone discusses Squirtle, it's Yawning Squirtle, but shouldn't this really redirect to Pokemon like other Pokemon names are? --Champthom 05:24, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

 • When I make a redirect, I consider what article most people are looking for when they search for it. As you said, about 99% of people who search for Squirtle have Yawning Squirtle in mind. The reason most other pokemon names redirect to Pokemon is because they don't have their own pages. --T K 19 08:00, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
