Grace Period and HTL Socking

After Larry expressed concerns about users in the ILJ subforum going after members of the CWCki server, partially attributing it to the implementation of the Suitress Policy, I decided to talk to him about the policy. Larry brings up the point that Fiona might not be like the Wallflower, who wanted no attention from being involved with Chris, due to her making a Reddit AMA after people discouraged documentation of her.

I then bring up the point that we don't entirely know what was going on with Fiona behind the scenes, as last we've heard of her was that she allegedly had her Internet privledges revoked, to which Larry replies that time should decide on whether or not the policy should stay. We eventually agree on implementing a one year grace period onto the policy, allowing Fiona a year to not do anything similar to the Reddit AMA before we can fully determine if she deserves the Wallflower treatment.

In this discussion, we also talk about the Bella ban on the CWCki server, which prohibits people from talking about Bella in general due to it being marked as a harassment server.

For a brief moment, we also talk about Hurtful Truth Level socking on the CWCki, another factor that led to the CWCki server getting raided. We also give our opinions on him doing that and the reaction my leaking of his DMs has caused on Kiwi Farms, with both of us frustrated on the current state on the ILJ subforum.

Because I feel this is a serious issue, and I saw your suggestion on the CWCki, I feel we should talk it out here. It's about the Suitress policy

Right, as we saw in Kiwi Farms' Bella subforum, users were accusing the Cwcki community for being in cahoot with Bella. This was before Hurtful's sockpuppeting.

Psycho

I kind of had to say he was sockpuppeting too.

The Suitress rule is a major reason for this accusation.

Psycho

I'd imagine. That's why I wanted to talk to you about it through a DM. I'm jumping back and forth between the CWCki and KF.

When the thread accusing our Discord server was made, we lost a good amount of users. People are actually really afraid of Kiwi Farms, Null's comparison to the Eye of Sauron really resonates.

It does. I've tried to clear it out why the policy was set up, but I wasn't aware this was happening. It was because Fiona was seemingly pretty vulnerable. I've only now realized how true that "Eye of Sauron" thing really is. Are you suggesting we remove the policy for that?

Larry

It's my suggestion. Again its because of that and most other communities know who Fiona is now. This isn't like the Wallflower, who pretty much begged Cogsdev to redact her identity before the wider public knew it.

The Suitress thing was basically set up around the time when interest in Fiona was relatively low too, TBH. Before she set up her AMA

The AMA suggests the Suitress isn't like the Wallflower, who wants to be completely left alone.

I've always been conflicted about keeping it up, actually. One one hand, she wants attention. It'd probably be better for her if she doesn't have her name on there. On the other hand, it really isn't like the Wallflower, who wanted no attention. I believe the Bella ban on the server itself was also a reason why KF users were suspicious, tbh.

Agreed, I have since decided not to mute users the instant they start to talk about her.

I think the thing with Fiona too is that her parents are dealing with her now. She's been lumberjacked.

Right now, I think we should let time decide.

Psycho

Agreed. The plan right now is if she comes back, the rule will definitely be removed.

If a year goes by and people are still referred the Suitress by her first name, I'll consider again. Kiwi Farms don't count

I don't care if KF uses her real name, TBH. Especially since the Wallflower has a thread on there. And most users on KF don't really care about Fiona either

This Bella saga is really taking a toll in this community.

Me too, but I understand his motives and I can't bring myself to hate him.

I don't hate him either. I'm just a little pissed that he wanted me to conceal that.

Larry

I'm just upset that the Bella board has become a witch hunt and Spooky Bones, the mod is not only not quelling it, but actively fueling it.

Psycho

I certainly agree to that extent. People are even accusing Marvin and Null of shit. When Marvin was just on a few discords, and Null really wouldn't have had the time to be that deep in Chris.

Guess the Suitress case is settled then.

Yes. One year grace period If nothing comes up of her again, keep it permanently. Otherwise, we can take it down.
