:Darkbind existed in 2005 or earlier (not going to check, but he was in sonichu 4 I'm certain) whereas that game came out in 2007. I guess it's just yet another case of SEGA taking ideas from a superior publisher. I think this guy is mostly a ripoff of Darkspine Sonic, some one-off Super Sonic alternative from Sonic and the Secret Rings for Wii.
