*While it's not an outright request for free money, it's often in the same neighborhood. Usually Chris doesn't pay attention to sales until he's feeling financial pressure, so his advertising tend to be accompanied with begging for handouts. I think most of the time the beg and advertise counters would be in step. Like, the $170 comic set tweet was within a day of him begging for someone to spot him $600. There's a bug that's causing an issue with this template.

When I'm logged in, the template shows the right numbers. But if I access the Cwcki from another device (while logged out), and look at the Main Page or Financhu Crisis, the numbers on the template are "stuck" from whatever was displayed the last time the page was updated.

Is this happening for anyone else?

  • The count on the template appears correct on my end.
  • I wasn't aware you were manually updating it. I'd suggest waiting a few days without adjusting anything to see if the problem persists. I've been having issues with templates too--icon sizes--but the problems always appear to amend themselves. My guess is this wiki inputs the changes and then it takes a day or two for those changes to be displayed for everyone. --Galilean (talk) 22:56, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

I'm having a related problem. On my MacBook, when I view the CWCki, not only is the counter stuck at day 1, but the "Article of the Day" was still the PS4 article. I think this might be a broswer catching issue. I'm not so sure, but rest assured H.T.L, that you're not alone. --Windows OS (talk) 01:49, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

Should it be reset?

Does CLog Special - PATREON & MORE count as begging? Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 02:21, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

Sonichu15

I'm thinking it shouldn't be reset yet, as Chris is supposed to be working on #12-9, not #15. Also, the page for #15 he uploaded is only a draft (the text isn't typed out). Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 05:25, 5 December 2017 (UTC)

If this was the case when he was working on several comics in the past, I suppose that's fine. Rtucker913 (talk) 05:27, 5 December 2017 (UTC)

Begging?

Did Chris beg today? Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 21:22, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

  • Oh, that video was from 2017. I guess you saw it from my KF post? I was pointing out where a pic of Chris had originated. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 00:03, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

Should we include an advertising timer?

I was inspired by Chris' recent offer of print Sonichu comics for $170. In the past, I would update the begging counter appropriately, but if Chris is offering a product, even if of abysmal quality and unlikely ever to be shipped, it should not be considered the same as blatant requests for funds. Would a new bullet in the list be appropriate, such as:
