Chris allegedly unveiling a pregnancy

I don't think the livestream clip is enough proof Chris is revealing a pregnancy. It sounds more like he's stating what he might do in the situation as far as announcing it or not. He also didn't mention summer. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 20:48, 24 November 2024 (EST)

You're right that Chris did not confirm a pregnancy. One way to interpret what he said is that he was trying to say that he's planning to conceive a child in Summer 2025, but it is definitely a step for him. After all, Chris has been talking about having a child since he was 21 and for him to answer a question like that and in that fashion, we're convinced that Chris could be revealing plans of some sort. It is at the very least, notable for him to bring up the topic of children. He hasn't really been entertaining the subject too much since he first came out as transgender. I had to re-watch my source for his quote and the video I saw was misleadingly captioned. He did not mention Summer. I suppose I'm a victim of confirmation bias and simply the disturbing amount of growing misinformation of the modern world. But I will say that the internet is still freaking out over the comments and I think it's worth mentioning that the incident sparked speculation at the bare minimum. Who remembers back in August 2022 when a 4channer stirred up false rumors that Chris escaped jail? It was a load of bull, but the August 2022 page considers it notable because it helped bring Chris' name back to the spotlight for the first time since he was arrested. I think the fact we even need to have a discussion regarding the comments' noteworthiness in relation to the blatant misinformation surrounding them is enough of a reason to say they sparked rumors, no matter how untrue those rumors may be.

A few misconceptions by the community lead to this out of context moment to gain traction for no good reason. This shouldn't be put onto the CWCki as a big deal, as it isn't actually a big deal at all, more so Chris's delusional and untrustworthy words being misunderstood. It sounds like to me he was answering if/when he would announce a hypothetical baby (he can't even procreate anyway, it's just people jumping to unrealistic conclusions for LULZ, then other people took it way too seriously.) I agree with Hurtful and Ayuma. Nobody in the live chat even reacted to his nothingburger comments but all it took was one slow-in-the-mind misunderstanding his words and we got everyone freaking out about the "news" CwckiChristorian (talk) 02:33, 25 November 2024 (EST)

Rewatching the clip, I do agree with Hurtful, but I disagree with the motion he's making regarding the subject matter at hand. All across the web are people spreading misinformation regarding Chris' comments. Hurtful's position, as far as I'm aware, is to throw any mention of Chris' words away. I learned about this matter through claims by people online. In the past couple days, many people have helped spread the misinformation far and wide. Sort of like the false August 2022 jail escape misinformation: it's worth mentioning because it's bringing Chris into the spotlight once again. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris came out with a later statement in his next stream to clarify his words when asked by a ween. Until then, we should consider the comments at the bare minimum "notable" due to the slow-in-the-mind understandings that have since circulated following the stream.
