Chris's letter to Nintendo Power explaining his "disease".

According to Chris, "Noviophobia" is a word he created that describes as his fear of girls not being boyfriend-free. Scientific names for fears are usually developed from Greek words, but Chris only knows Spanish so he used novio, meaning "boyfriend". However, if he was purposefully trying to come up with a Latin name for this type of fear, a more appropriate name would have been horror sponsi, which roughly translates to "the fear of husbands".

The word is alternately spelled "Noiophobia," as it appears in Christian's letter to Nintendo Power about how Sprung has helped this condition. It is unclear if Chris (or Nintendo Power) misspelled it in the letter, but he has gotten it right in other documents.
