This is just personal opinion and it's obviously going to be hard to entirely wind the gears backwards with this joke, but I think that a good way to reuse this joke when it inevitably runs its course would be to act like Chris-chan has died and that the mimic is merely assuming his place to fill the gap he would leave in all our hearts, and taking over the reigns on Sonichu in his honor. This is just personal opinion and it's obviously going to be hard to entirely wind the gears backwards with this joke, but I think that a good way to reuse this joke when it inevitably runs its course would be to act like Chris-chan has died and that the mimic is merely assuming his place to fill the gap he would leave in all our hearts, and taking over the reigns on Sonichu in his honor.
