  • Promoting Sonichu - yet another thing Chris fails at. SirCucumber 04:08, 4 December 2009 (CET)

I think someone yells out to Chris around 1:25. Can anyone else hear it? --Sack Thaddic 05:31, 4 December 2009 (CET)

I am transcribing dis bitch. Unless someone beats me to it, anyways.--Beat 04:30, 4 December 2009 (CET)

He amazes me with his ability to make increasingly meaningless videos. --Tristran 05:37, 4 December 2009 (CET)

Wait, so he rips off another game to promote his game that is already a ripoff, LOLWUT --Cody

Personally I'm hoping he has played/will play Assassin's Creed 2. Watching Chris attempting to climb the side of his house would be rather amusing ----CorbeauNoir

SONIC RUNNING SPEED

I'm looking at the Google Maps trail and using my SPEED ESTIMATING skills it looks like it's a about 1/3rd of a mile. According to this thing he ran at a speed of about 5 miles an hour for the parts he was actually running and taking breaks.

There's a rule of thumb (for hikers) that says you can hike a mile in about 20 minutes, which works out to about 3 miles an hour. So during the parts Chris was actually running and he moved at less than twice the speed most people run at.

I suck at math, so I'm not sure if this is accurate.

I think you're quite mistaken. People are supposed to be able to walk a mile in 15 minutes, which is to say that they walk at 4 mph. That said, years ago, I used to be able to run a mile in about 6 minutes, which isn't even very good. That's running at 10 mph. So... he's running about half as fast as I could... for one third of the distance. --Tristran 05:37, 4 December 2009 (CET)

The real word Christian is reffering to is "Parcour", a french word that can be translated by "obstacle course". Anyway good transcription of the vid.--Ze Artist

I know when Google has walking directions, the estimated time is based on an average speed of 3 mph and I've heard 3 mph being the standard speed a reasonably healthy person should be able to walk. The thing is, trying to calculate is useless because Chris takes breaks which he cuts out. But I think the point is, if Chris only ran a 1/3 of a mile, he really shouldn't need to be taking any breaks or get winded. --Champthom 08:08, 4 December 2009 (CET)

  • I'm secretly quite proud of Chris. This is probaly the most physical effort he's ever put into anything his whole life. He's still a stupid fat ballsack though. --Sonicow 08:34, 4 December 2009 (CET)
    • At least since graduation. IIRC in school they always had some kind of Physical Education classes, no matter how half-assed. --Anaconda 04:30, 5 December 2009 (CET)
  • Yeah, I'm impressed he could actually run for longer than a minute... RachmaninovDESU 02:15, 5 December 2009 (CET)
  • After watching this I think it'd be neat if somebody would challenge him to a foot race, even a short one with a well defined path, start and end. Even at my hefty size, having just tried it, I was able to run faster, backwards and with no pauses and a greater distance (though people were wondering why I was running backwards :)) --Tarkus 04:10, 6 December 2009 (CET)

Uh

Are we not going to do anything with the prior video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpxRWmGQoSw --Pikanic2 08:14, 4 December 2009 (CET)

Sonichu's Edge Alpha?

Anyone else think that the title has something to do with this? It can't be a coincidence. --T K 19 09:02, 4 December 2009 (CET)

  • Harry wishes. --Champthom 09:06, 4 December 2009 (CET)

Considering Mirror's Edge is the only media Chris has encountered that features parkour, and being that he has not an ounce of creativity... Yes, it is a coincidence. --The Great Wizard CrassCrab, Lord of the Seven Realm and Master of the Archane Black Arts of the Eleventh Trans-Dimensional Vortex 16:34, 4 December 2009 (CET)

How This Started

This all started because VivitheG watched the episode of The Office where Michael, Andy, and Dwight run around the office doing parkour (which is accompanied by them yelling "PARKOUR!" as they jumped spastically from desks to filing cabinets) in the cold opening of the episode. When Chris began reaching out to Vivian in an attempt to get her to be his manager, she suggested that he make some videos to help promote Sonichu. And that's how this came to be. --The Great Wizard CrassCrab, Lord of the Seven Realm and Master of the Archane Black Arts of the Eleventh Trans-Dimensional Vortex 16:29, 4 December 2009 (CET)

Fun Fact

According to his PSN profile, Chris hasn't even gotten past Chapter 5 on Mirror's Edge. Most likely on Easy. Either Chris fails at yet another thing or he's too lazy. --Icy 18:12, 13 December 2009 (Pacific Standard)
