The Cwciverse refers to the universe where Chris's made-up town of [cwcville] resides. It mainly exists as an [dimensional merge|escapist fantasy] to [cope] with his failings in real life
Mechanics
How the reality of c-197 functions is never clear, generally the universe is populated by [OC's] who are born by those who come up with them, OC's have an independent will from their creators much like children, even resenting aspects of their person, meaning that there is some vague limit to what details they inherit from their "fathers". OC's are not just characters someone invents for a story but also aliases and personas someone would use to cover their identity<ref>[[1]]<ref>. Other than OC's there are also counterparts of IRL people such [Sara Hammer] and [Megan], it is possible that these are OC's as well, which would nullify several in-comic apologies Chris has made as he is apologizing to those who simply resemble people he's wronged.
The laws vaguely resemble the world of Shadesmar from the Stormlight archive books by Brandon Sanderson, which is inhabited by spren; sentient manifestations of concepts like honor or logic, the difference being that Shadesmar not only makes sense as Sanderson goes to great lengths to explain the inner workings of it but it also makes money as Stormlight books are consistently found on bestseller lists.
All this points to the fact that any explanation for how any of this works is nothing but a slapdash attempt to justify his writing of a clearly copyrighted character (turning it into a historical account), and his only friends being nonexistent sonic recolors.
