[http://universalsubtitles.org/ Universal Subtitles]. Would this help? This might be an interesting thing to try, because it'd let people edit the subtitles live, much like any wiki page, and you can just time the subtitles ''once'' and translate the subs to other languages. The user-edited subs also don't show up when you just view the video through YouTube, so this wouldn't need to change the process much: people could edit the subtitles on this site, let the archivists know that there's a new set of subtitles or a new language version up, and they can then export the sub file from universalsubtitles and import it in YouTube. --''[[User:Wwwwolf|wwwwolf]]'' ([[User talk:Wwwwolf|wake me when you need me]]) 04:07, 21 February 2011 (PST) |

So should there be separate sections for "Finished", "Awaiting Approval", and "In Progress" videos, or should it be a table with all videos in it and their degree of completion? Freecell 15:44, 8 February 2011 (PST)
- A table of videos might get kinda crazy, so for the time being let's do three sections like that.--Champthom 15:50, 8 February 2011 (PST)
Translations
I didn't realize YouTube does this but YouTube translates captions. Obviously it's not the world's best but I've looked at the Spanish translation and it's not too bad. Perhaps our resources might be better utilized at just making captions and letting YouTube do the rest, but on the other hand some things get lost in translation. What do you all think on the matter? Should translation be a priority in captioning Chris's fail? --Champthom 15:02, 17 February 2011 (PST)
- I almost finished the Song of Christian(1) translation, so I'll send it anyway, but after that I'll stop the translations so I can work faster. --Cesare 04:36, 18 February 2011 (PST)
Don't Trust Any Homos Over There was marked as unnecessary for subtitling. Do you guys agree? Also phone calls/library audiobook mirrors/songs? Shiny 18:08, 17 February 2011 (PST)

Universal Subtitles
Universal Subtitles. Would this help? This might be an interesting thing to try, because it'd let people edit the subtitles live, much like any wiki page, and you can just time the subtitles once and translate the subs to other languages. --wwwwolf (wake me when you need me) 04:07, 21 February 2011 (PST)
