Sauce? I'm not really sure that this is the case in the Pacific Northwest, and coming from the same region as Chris (Mid-Atlantic, NOT the South), I can tell you that the European dialect is NOT commonly taught in our region. --SeventhBase 18:37, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of two images
I'm the Deviantart user that made two images that are shared on the Chris and Spanish page (The edited Axe page and the edited cover of Sonichu #4) , but now I want to delete both from that page. I joined the wiki because I want to remove the content I made some years ago and I was wondering if I need to ask permission to the moderators of this wiki to do that. Thanks.
*Sure thing. I deleted the images. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 00:30, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

not Castellano

Im removing the part which says Chris speaks castellano. Im a native spanish speaker and Chris DOES NOT speak castellano. He has neither the accent nor the vocabulary or the grammatical structure for castellano. In my country we always use the wrd "ascensor", thats not exclusive to Spain. Also chris uses "pendejo" as an insult and in its mexican form, he most likely speaks in a mexican dialect as 99% of americans who learned the language during high school.

As for his use of "pesetas" theres probably 2 explanations: chris doesnt realizes that theres a gazillion spanish dialects and so he just made a superficial search for spain and thought the currency was pesetas everywhere OR, the 2nd explanation: before the 21st century it was actually pretty common for people to use "pesetas" to describe really small quantiies of money (just like with "centimos" which was another currency). Even if the local currency wasnt pesetas. People would say "oh this costs 10 pesetas" to refer to "10 cents" and so.

Also i really dont think that cuban spanish is thaught in florida since its a very isolated dialect that will be almost useless outside of a cuban environment.

Renaming

  • I see what you did there, Eamoo, and its great. i was thinking, wouldnt you want to rename the "Works in which CWC uses Spanish" for somethin else?, cuz of the mumble and okcupid--Rosechupenis 04:34, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Coincidentally, I had thought to make a Spanish page just earlier today. I didn't envision it so much as a list as an actual article, but that's still kinda spooky. --Edward 16:22, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

  • I have though about adding a section in chris and race for chris and other languages, but maybe could i put here?J0haely 17:15, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
  • The only other language Chris is even aware of as far as we know is Spanish. Put it here I suppose. Put a bit in Chris and Race too though. --Edward 17:21, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
    • though chris "uses" (and that's being generous) japanese in random random intervals, such as the -chan and -san and the shin all of which he knows nothing about what their meanings or uses are.J0haely 17:24, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Merge

We already have Ricardo Weston Chandler for this purpose. I suggest we merge the two pages. Perhaps it is more intuitive to make the page name "Spanish." Thoughts?--Champthom 17:26, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

  • it would be a good idea since there isn't much we can work this out of.J0haely 17:32, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
  • I think we should make the pages more distinct from eachother. Make this page about Christian's abuse of the Spanish language and make the RWC page focus on the name itself. --Edward 17:42, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
    • I think that adding a section outlining Chris's abuse of the language will help the article, but it will remain a stub article. And the RWC article can't be elaborated on much more that it already is. I feel merging the articles will help them in this respect. Zephed 21:34, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
      • Hellz yeah. Merge the pages.-trombonista 15:31, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
        • Merge dis bitch--Wintermute 00:23, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
      • I think that merging is a good idea. I made a start of an 'abuse of Spanish' section, but I didn't have the time or the expertise to get very specific. ---ConCat 05:46, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
  • Finally done. As I said before, I sorta intended the "Ricardo Weston Chandler" page to sorta work out to be this sort of page but this sort of page manages to capture what I had in mind in the first place. --Champthom 06:03, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Chris's "mastery" of Spanish/to do

I'm not a big fan of the whole "Why Spanish Speakers Hate Chris" section as it's too vague. I suggest we document how exactly Chris fails at the Spanish language (mispronunciation, failure to add a tilda over "anos" so it means "anus," etc.) to underscore Chris's claims of his mastery of the language. --Champthom 06:03, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

i'll do that tonight. i'm a native speaker so i can point out all the flaws.J0haely 11:17, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Accent

Is it just me or does Chris have an extraordinarily thick American accent when he speaks spanish? Maybe we should add that to the articleBanzai881 11:33, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

  • How long did it take you to figure out that one? I'm pretty sure anyone who made it past middle school Spanish knows that Chris can't pronounce jack. No idea why it would need its own section. - Boop 18:22, 1 September 2010 (PDT)

"As is common on the Northwest Coast"
