Despite its leader's claims to the contrary, the country is a totalitarian dictatorship - sporting a pervasive personality cult around the leader, no independent judiciary nor any separation of powers, mass surveillance of the populace as well as largely autonomous paramilitary organizations. The economy is almost exclusively geared towards serving the whims of the ruling elite, with many of the country's citizens living in homeless shelters.
