All that is what makes certain conventions much easier when interacting and mingling at local events. Although not all conventions ring, register, or resonate. Like the anime conventions I attended were partially putting this vibe out. Charlottesville's OmegaCon mostly registered with me as feeling rather "meh." MagFest, that one year and panel, was mind-blowing. And TooManyGame's vibe was more than half-positive. THE TROLLISH setup and trap just about totally KILLED that convention in my opinion.
