Talk:Aspergers (CWCipedia article)
Categorize this. I was thinking of making a regular Asperger's article but I think it's alright to have this article here since it summarizes Chris's views on Asperger's and why he dislikes ass pies in addition to a regular article to chronicle the drama about Asperger's. --Champthom 06:30, 5 December 2009 (CET)
- Categories added. I figured that since Chris made the post it was important to document it, but I didn't want to take up the title "Aspergers" with this or do a redirect with that title in case someone wanted to make a general article on Asperger's Syndrome and Chris's views about the subject. An obscure passage
Anyone have any idea what Chris is getting at towards the end of this passage:
"The people who first evaluated me ever even stated that I would never even make it to High School, much less even Write His Name. Take That and Smoke It, oldest doctors."
"Write His Name"? "Take That and Smoke It, oldest doctors"? WHUT?! Llort 07:30, 5 December 2009 (CET)
- Chris is probably dramatizing what the doctors said about him. I'd imagine they probably did say he'd need special schooling and couldn't make it in a regular high school, but as far as not being able to write his own name? He was already in elementary school when this was discussed, so I imagine he could already do that at the time.
- And "take that and smoke it" is Chris telling off those who diagnosed him by butchering the cliche, "Put that in your pipe and smoke it." In other words, "so there!" Alteceastlansing 07:46, 5 December 2009 (CET)
A revealing line
Noteworthy for a different reason is the very next line:
"I have worked very hard to achieve and maintain Honor Roll throughout Middle and High School, and even to make the PVCC Dean's List, and fulfill my parents' wishes to work for and earn the Degree and Certificate for Computer Aided Drafting and Design."
That's right: not "I worked", but "I have worked". Chris earned his CADD degree over three years ago, and that's the most recent of the several "accomplishments" that he lists... yet he's still referring to all of these deeds in the present perfect tense instead of the preterite. I mean, the syntax of his sentences alone is revealing just how much he's living in the past! Llort 07:30, 5 December 2009 (CET)
I think the last part is especially revealing. To "fulfill [his] parents' wishes"? That he earned the degree not for his own benefit but because his parents wanted him to do it shows that he is content to stagnate and make nothing of himself. Not that we didn't know that, but it's interesting to see him admit it, oblique though his admission may be. --Doomknight 09:28, 5 December 2009 (CET)
Chris showing his superiority by insisting on his social inferiority?
"They think they can one-up, or even match, autism with the Lack of Social Capability and their Clumsiness and such."
- I can't come up with a clever remark about this. Glorious Tentacularity 08:25, 5 December 2009 (CET)

I think what Chris is trying to get at is that ASS PIES raise the bar for autistics and that means people will have higher expectations for people like Chris. --Champthom 09:06, 5 December 2009 (CET)
Yeah, I'm sure it enrages him to know, thanks to the existence of Asperger's Syndrome, that there are autistic males who have a lot of friends, get positive female attention, and look like this (yours truly): [1] --Doomknight 09:23, 5 December 2009 (CET)
- I'm sorry, Doomknight, was I supposed to fap to that? I won't because I AM STRAIGHT. I AM NOT A HOMO! I know because I have Sailor Moon posters and fondle Optimus Prime and stuff. Glorious Tentacularity 13:37, 5 December 2009 (CET)
- Doomknight, you have to be the second-most-handsome man on the CWCKI. (the most handsome being myself, naturally). In all seriousness, my opinion on this whole thing as a professional high-functioning asperger's personthingunit is: LOLhahahaha oh wow. I was angry for a split second when I first read it, but then it just became hilarious -- Needlepants 01:34, 6 December 2009 (CET)
How far will this little piece bring us?
- He's done it! Finally! Those DAMN and SLANDEROUS Asperger's hogging al MY attention! This piece of comedy gold is so incredibly hilarious to me I don't know where to begin. Every time I read a bit I start laughing my ass off. Please keep up the pinning with Asperger's, because I smell a Youtube rant coming. --Hayate666 11:10, 5 December 2009 (CET)
WAT
And to think I had some small piece of pity for CWC before that, some troll's remorse maybe... Oh dear. It's somehow even worse than the "Gay Gene curing" thing, maybe because the latter sounds too fantastic and over-the-top. But this... oh man. Chris, what the fuck.
Not to be too offtopic, a suggestion: maybe we could make a middle-sized article named something like "Chris's intolerance"/"Chris and intolerance"/"Chris's Kampf"/whatever. In it we could make a list (with links) of all examples of Chris's intolerance - racial, sexual, religious, or medical. This list could give people a quick overview of the levels of Chris's intolerance in general, while specific articles (like this one, Niggos, Homos, etc.) would examine each type in depth. How about this, guys? --GokuGetEm 12:59, 5 December 2009 (CET)
What the hell is he talking about?
I read the line "And with that, I have not only Helped cultivate the First Generation of Autistic People, but I have gone beyond the Autistic Dreams academically, communicatively and socially." and wondered what he was getting at. I understand that he thinks he's some sort of fantastic example for autistics everywhere but the part about helping cultivate the first generation of autistic people has me stumped.
Does he think that autism wasn't in existence before his lifetime? Does he think he is the 'Prototype Autistic'? Is he confusing 'cultivate' with 'leading'? If so, why the first generation?
This article is a prime example of his ego, jealousy and stubborn stupidity in the face of facts. Amazing! --Tarkus 22:08, 5 December 2009 (CET)
- He's basically saying that he conquered every symptom, problem and consequence of classic autism. He has made friends, he performed excellent at school, he is popular. He's basically so awesome that he could kick Chuck Norris' ass with his Chun Lee moves despite his autism and as such is a shining beacon of hope and STRAIGHT manliness for every autistic person in the world. Somehow in his demented mind having Aspergers' messes with that. --Hayate666 00:44, 6 December 2009 (CET)
Harry Potter
I added a small passage comparing this to his hatred for Harry Potter, because it seems so fucking obvious. If I'm deluding myself, please say so. It just seemed to fit.CDiddles 02:05, 6 December 2009 (CET)
- That's a pretty good comparison actually. Harry Potter/Assburgers is the bane of his Pokemon/Autism. --Fuckingstupid 02:13, 6 December 2009 (CET)
- I wasn't aware that he hated Harry Potter. It seems logical the way you put it. --Hayate666 13:08, 6 December 2009 (CET)
- Chrissy hates Harry Potter because it "dared" to compete with Pokemon. --Sack Thaddic 16:12, 6 December 2009 (CET)
- I wonder how he feels about Digimon, Monster Rancher, and other monster raising games from around the same time. 3 C-quarters says he "doesn't much care for them." --OFSheep 00:20, 7 December 2009 (CET)
Ass Meat
Is actually one of the best cuts of meat. The most tender meat usually come from the back of the animal, like the rump, rib and loin; I know this shit, I'm a dago --Robotnik 05:22, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Oh Lord, I love the pic
This is an excellent example of having an image associated with an article. It's pure perfection to have an image of Chris ala Adolf Hitler with the quote "VICTORY OVER AUTISM BELONGS ONLY TO US TRUE AUTISTIC PEOPLE" as the caption. --Champthom 09:04, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
So...
What exactly makes the two so COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in Chris's mind. Has he ever gone into detail on that? He admits they're similar, and seems aware that Aspergers is less severe than autism, but he's never actually mentioned any traits or characteristics that set autism apart from aspergers.
If this were the good old mailbag days, I would have liked to drill him on this. God dammit I miss the mailbags.--Beat 22:13, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
It's simple. Chris takes pride in the fact that he's high-functioning autistic. He's become convinced, somehow, that it's incredibly rare for someone to be as high-functioning as he is and sees it as an accomplishment. However, he seems to think that people with Aspergers are even higher functioning. It makes him feel less perfect than he thinks he is. He also thinks that they're faking it to gain sympathy.
Having the two grouped together under the same banner means, to Chris, that he's a faking impostor who is too lazy to improve on himself. More or less, the scientific community just declared that his name is Ian Brandon Anderson.--MoarLurk 22:41, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
