Hi there!

Welcome to CWCKI!

Welcome to CWCki! There's a lot to do around here because Chris never does anything himself. I hope you'll stay with us and make many improvements of your own!

Before you start, be sure to read A Quick Guide to CWCki. This will guide you through the dos and don'ts of editing the world's most accurate wiki. Be especially sure to read this if you consider Anonymous to be legion or if you've just come over from ED. Everything you know is wrong.
Recent changes is a great first stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
If you're looking for things to do, check out the priority listing for things that need to be done, or join a project.
If you haven't already, create a user page about yourself! If you do, we'll be able to know you better as a member of our community. Just be sure to check out the guidelines first.
Questions? Please read the FAQ first. Later, you can ask in the Community Portal or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, join the live chat in our IRC channel or post a message on my talk page!
Once again, welcome to CWCki!

  • Hi! I suggest that we move that list about Chris's "Chris_chan" page from the ED page to the Chris-Chan (CWCipedia) page, where it would be of more help. What do you think? --GokuGetEm 10:04, 18 December 2009 (CET)

Eh I thought I was cool but I guess I'm not, I'll just go back to lurking and transcribing. Ronichu 08:35, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

No problem. I don't have anything else to do at the moment. Thelieisacake 13:16, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Don't get yourself down man, at least you tried. More than that, you confirmed to everyone that Bob was alive and back home. --Caboose -1 15:34, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Notes to self:

Write about:

Chris and mindless devotion. Chris and failing despite many opportunities.

Cheers cunt

I'll help you out on the mumble chats in general. There's a shit ton to be done in there and it'll be easier to tackle it with more than one person. I can 9.5 done in one more sitting then can move on to others. Any ones of high priority? Edit: jesus christ I've just been looking at what you've been doing. Don't know if I'll put up that much effort but my metaphorical hat goes off to you sir. Big Fucking Whoopie 15:02, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Note to self

Fix Vivitheg's AIM chat to be like the Mumble chats, you dumb retarded fuck. -Ronichu 23:48, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

No! Don't! I was just saying I had changed the colors to match the stuff on the CWCki:Transcription Style page! You don't have to do anything! You're free!--Beat 23:57, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
  • Oh my God. I'm... I'm free. :') ... naw, who am I kidding. There's plenty of Mumbles left to go. :D -Ronichu 00:28, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
  • Miyamoto article. Gimme a day or so, I'm sure I can write something about Japanese honourifics with a few sources. -Ronichu 22:34, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Before you post that stuff you said you were gonna post

Talk to me again. You know where to go. --Champthom 18:02, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Mailbag Potential

If Chris ever answers mailbags again, I was thinking of submitting the following question to him:

Dear Chris,

I heard you were an expert in computers so I was hoping you could help me out with a problem (it's a maths/statistics problem as well and I know you excelled in maths). I recently installed OpenSolaris on my NAS. As per ZFS pool version 21, I am running SHA-256 deduplication routines on my zpool which result in cluster hashing dramatically reducing the size of my dataset by resecting duplicated chunks. However, I am concerned about the possibility of hash collisions- I know that the likelyhood of an SHA-256 collision is about fifty orders of magnitude lower than the statistical probability of an undetected bitflip on ECC RAM, so I was wondering; precisely how much data can my vdevs store before the statistical probability of a hash collision becomes one?

Thanks for your help,

Truman Burbank.
