Talk:Sonichu Home Club
To do
- find the video on YouTube (trust me, it's there)
- make a transcript
- I'll try to transcribe (more like translate, right?) as much as I can.. But god damn is he unclear. --Fight4Peace
- I can understand virtually every word that he's saying, so I might be able to take over for you soon enough. Llort 20:25, 23 June 2009 (CEST)
- As a PRO TIP, the first video starts out with Chris reading parts of DJ Jamsta's spiel from Sonichu 8, so transcribing that will be easier. --Champthom 21:50, 23 June 2009 (CEST)
- Probably best that you do. My poor Brit ears can't handle Chrissy all too well when he's clear, never mind fuzzy. --Fight4Peace
- Abandon all hope, ye Britfags who listen here. I should finish up one or two things that I've started recently before I start transcribing this, but this is going on my short list. I just whipped up two transcripts for Tour of Chris's House, and there, I surprised even myself by being able to understand "cloudy" from Chris saying "clai", so I'm feeling up for this challenge. :3 Llort 22:58, 23 June 2009 (CEST)
- I've got Part 1's transcript done now, but I just listened to Part 2 for the first time, and it's so boring that I'm not going to be able to bring myself to transcribe it any time soon, if ever. None of it is meaningfully informative in any way, and the only funny things that happen in the entire video are that: A) 1/3 of the way through, Chris wonders aloud whether Sony is listening in on the chat and taking note of his suggestions, and B) right at the end, Chris explains that he's leaving because he's gotta go take care of "a Mother Nature errand". Seriously, Part 2 is just excruciating. Llort 22:31, 26 June 2009 (CEST)
- Part 2 should have the part where BlueSpike asks Chris to just chat with them, as in have Chris be involved in a conversation with some people like a normal person, and Chris is like "Well, I'll listen in to what you are talking about and if you have questions I will answer them." Anyways, as our motto says "no shit is too minor" so yeah, still need this transcribed. Llort has done an excellent job thus far so someone help him. --Champthom 00:21, 27 June 2009 (CEST)
- Well it was mostly boring as hell, but I did find the part where Chris explains how money can be exchanged for video games to be pretty funny. Also, odds are good that I misinterpreted him at least once, and there were a few spots that I really just had no fucking clue on. So by all means, improve this. --Bunsteaks 02:08, 28 July 2009

- note how Chris hasn't done anything with it since (like 99% of his ventures)
- how Chris won't just talk but insists that they talk and he will answer questions that arise
- find that video where they walk around the home to show what it looks like - there's a video of this somewhere, like it has a bulletin of it.
Seriously, this was gold as Chris does a reading of the comics in this. --Champthom 12:15, 12 June 2009 (CEST)
There was also a video of walking around the club house, with the notes pinned up and stuff. I might have it, so I'll try to find it. It should be on YouTube, actually. I'll see if I can get Arjen to post it if I can't get it on YouTube. --Champthom 20:47, 24 June 2009 (CEST)
A small question: Did Chris intend this "club" thing to be a recurring event? If so, what did he do to organise it? Also, a small suggestion - I'm clueless as to what PS3 Home even is, and what it is capable of (aside of it being a bad Second Life rip-off or something along those lines). Could someone please explain what this environment/house/thingy Chris made is, for those who can't really experience it first-hand? --wwwwolf (wake me when you need me) 13:04, 6 July 2009 (CEST)
- I believe the intent was for it to be recurring. Cogs and BlueSpike went into the Home Club and there was a message from Chris (you can apparently leave messages on a bulletin board) from February of this year that he was working on setting up a new meeting. As far as organization, the most I know is that he's plugged it in IRC (notably after expressing what little concern he had for the death of Ryan Cash) and at least one of his videos. From what I hear as well, it's pretty much just a ripoff of Second Life and because Chris is a Sony fanboy, he thinks it's fucking awesome. Anyways, I've been trying to get a video tour of the Home club from BlueSpike but he's a faggot at times who has some excuse whenever I ask him about it. --Champthom 19:26, 6 July 2009 (CEST)
