Re:

Other people might say different things about what the CWCki needs, but I think the most valuable people are the ones who just read through the site normally, but with a critical eye. The most important thing is making sure people understand the content of the articles, and so people who walk in their shoes and act to improve the fluency of the articles really do help. Or, if that's too pedestrian, there are always Mumble transcriptions that need doing. It seems that that's a good way to get awards, though I guess that's indicative of how much time you actually have to devote to it. Like I said, though, there will be other people who will have different ideas on what's important, so if you don't like either of those suggestions, I'm sure someone can come up with something better suited to your interests.

Signing message posts

Please remember to sign all your talk page messages. You can do this in one of two ways:

  • Typing 4 tildes (~~~~): Depending on where your computer are from, the tilde key is usually in the top left of the keyboard (American) or to the left of the Enter key (British, Australian).
  • For Mac users and others: If you're on a Mac or can't find the tilde key, press the Signature button above the edit box (Button sig.png). It adds the tildes for you.

In both cases, the tildes are automatically transformed in to a text signature with a date and time stamp beside it when you save the page. You can preview what your signature will look like by selecting "Show preview" when adding a message to a page. You can customise your signature with user preferences. Please do not use signatures on pages that are not talk pages.

  • Freecell is pretty on the mark, I'd have to agree with him but if that's not your thing, you could spell check stuff. Just sorta check for spelling, grammar, make sure stuff makes sense, that sort of thing. And if that isn't your bag either, just check out the Priority Listing which has stuff that needs to be done. In any case, I think doing small things like spell and grammar checking articles or transcribing material is far more valuable than trying to come up with article content.
If you have any questions or need more help, feel free to ask me or Freecell.--Champthom 08:14, 28 October 2011 (PDT)
