::I removed "aso" because it's more of an exclamation rather than a real word (sort of like "oh". No idea what the first sentence is trying to say. "mandai" was difficult but it has to do with "ten thousand" (man) and "great". Let's assume it said "He should sound great in a million languages!", then it seems to make sense with this video. So yeah, there's my input. Keep in mind I'm not very good with the language as I needed Google and a dictionary. --AntonImaus 17:13, 15 August 2010 (PDT)
:::You probably know this language better than me, but I'm fairly sure 読める is yoMEru. Either way, I think this translation is adequate enough to put on the translation. What do you think? --SeventhBase 16:07, 17 August 2010 (PDT)

:::@SeventhBase. Yeah. I dun goofed. 'yomeru' is suppose to the 'potential' form of 'to read'. As in "he could read this" (er, don't quote me on that) or something like that.
:::@Tadahima. that makes a lot more sense considering this was a challenge. Speaking of which, the "Usana" in the first line is probably "uso na". 'uso' = 'lie'. --AntonImaus 03:32, 18 August 2010 (PDT)
::::Further speculation - is the bit starting with 'Usa na' even Japanese at all? I've listened several times, but the closest thing to a sentence I got was "うそなんじゃ フォトは せっかく工夫は済めば (It's a lie, the photo, though effort has been made - Usonanja fotoha sekkaku kufuu ha sumeba)."
::::Also, possible cleaned-up translation for the clearest portion - "Well, if he is the real Chris, then he should be able to read this, but he has to answer every question in these languages!" Pro tip
Chris actually uploaded the bulk of his Captain's Log here. In the future, it may be profitable to check the CWCipedia first to see if Chris has posted the text of the Captain's Log, to save time on transcription. --Champthom 10:26, 29 July 2009 (CEST)
- That's a good thought, but until Chris starts punctuating like a literate human being and actually sticking to his scripts, it'll probably be faster to just type up transcripts from scratch rather than trying to copy-paste Chris's own speech outlines and then make a thousand small corrections to them. Llort 16:01, 29 July 2009 (CEST)
- Hilariously, he STILL thinks it's June there...! Blazer 11:10 29 July 2009 (CEST)
I am only an observer in this situation. Without condemning or justifying actions of either groups, I offer my services as an Spanish translator for CWC's spanish dialogues. I am now working on tranlating them on my best of my abilities (18 years of Spanish). --Bystander 03:57, 30 July 2009 (CEST)
- Thank you so fucking much. It's painful as hell but someone needs to do it. --Champthom 04:04, 30 July 2009 (CEST)
- Seems I was beaten to the punch, props to the other guy, I added my translation as an alternate. Chris has not a very good grasp of verbs conjugation and adequacy. The "comicos" (comedians) bit was hilarious. --Bystander 04:48, 30 July 2009 (CEST)
- They are both very good translations, though I think that we should just have a literal (what Chris actually says) and a figurative (what Chris meant to say). --Champthom 00:58, 31 July 2009 (CEST)
Chris's transcriptions
Chris was kind enough to provide his Spanish script and English translation here. Of course, we beat him to the punch by 21 hours or so but we can still use Chris's version to fix any corrections and fill any gaps. --Champthom 00:58, 31 July 2009 (CEST)
- Chris's version of the transcription is riddled with serious errors, like using the word for "anus" when meaning to write "year". Fat Nigger 06:30, 3 August 2009 (CEST)
Extended Version
...is down at the moment. When we use the Deleted Video template, should the video embedding info be deleted too to avoid confusion, or left up to show the video's details? - Liquid! 20:03, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- probably left up, i would say. either that or replace it with the cwcvillelibrary mirrors, which never go down (unless absolutely necessary) --This post brought to you by ShotgunJones 17:14, 24 April 2010 (UTC)! Thanks for reading!
Liquid's video
Translated the Spanish portion and a large portion of the French, but the combination of grating voice and an inability to speak the language properly made me stop. Will possibly be back, but if one better than me chooses to edit, by all means, go ahead.
I added the German portion... impossible to make out in some places - his accent is horrible - but I did my best. -Kantenstein 10:07, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
日本語のパート
Come on, there have GOT to be some weaboos and/or competent Japanese speakers around here. That the Japanese part remained untranscribed and untranslated is pretty disappointing considering the vast anime knowldedge held by CWCki users DESU YO~!!! --SeventhBase 21:35, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ignoring the bit of sarcasm there: I'm working on it, but I have very little idea as to what he's saying. I'm having trouble with the second half's grammar, and there's just a problem with the first. This'll take longer that it should for 30 seconds of audio.
Weeaboo translation: HAI HAI YARIMASU~ --Schuzrum Dias 04:28, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hey guys, I wanted to work on this tonight but I fell mysteriously ill right as I got home from work. I'm receiving treatment and should be ready to give this a shot at translating the 日本語 tomorrow, along with my transcription effort. --Ronichu 13:55, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- This thing is kicking my ass. The first part is unintelligible, though I keep wanting to hear "musa," "greedy." I'm thinking that it's not tagashi, which sounds like gibberish, but tadashi, correct, as in, the correct Chris. And I have no idea what mandai is supposed to mean... 助けてくれ~ ロニチュせんぱい! --Schuzrum Dias 11:57, 3 August 2010 (PDT)
- Giving it a shot too. From context, I think he's saying something to the effect of "the real Chris can read multiple languages". The hardest part about doing this transcription is that he slurs on the vowels. --AntonImaus 16:53, 15 August 2010 (PDT)
- Just...further...update! I altered some words and Google gives a different translation.
- 正しいクリスならばと読める彼だが。彼は万大すべてこれらの言語で音する必要があります!
