I was a huge Bionicle fan back in 2001, I even recall learning the Bionicle alphabet! I haven't seen any Bionicle stuff by Chris, and the slideshow does not contain any Bionicle material. So I think adding a small paragraph dedicated to it will suffice. --[[User:Bystander|Bystander]] 08:07, 6 October 2009 (CEST) | |||

Adding Bionicle?
Chris actually had a Bionicle page on his old site, which was lost during one of the hackings. About 10% of the slideshow is just his Bionicle creations. It's one of those things we've never really delved into (like Hot Wheels for instance) because there's so many more worthwhile pursuits in analyzing Chris, but for the sake of completeness, we could mention something.
Thing is, should it be included in here or should it be given a separate page? I'm not a huge Lego fan so those who are might want to weigh in. --Champthom 00:57, 5 October 2009 (CEST)
I was a huge Bionicle fan back in 2001, I even recall learning the Bionicle alphabet! I haven't seen any Bionicle stuff by Chris, and the slideshow does not contain any Bionicle material. So I think adding a small paragraph dedicated to it will suffice. --Bystander 08:07, 6 October 2009 (CEST)
Enlighten bricks
Over at Krapple, someone noticed that one of Chris's Lego sets is in fact a ripoff and it's likely that Bob and Barb pasted the LEGO logo over the ripoff logo. --Champthom 22:45, 25 September 2009 (CEST)
Never thought it'd see 启蒙 Brick and Chrissy in the same website, let alone same picture. The notion that Bob would alter the logo to read LEGO is odd, but possible. It's more likely his dad got duped by buying it in an immigrant run toy store. That, or he bought it online (which I doubt even though he is good at cutting the internet down). Or one of the various toy stores in Charlottesville got duped.
But yeah, it's a common practice for third parties to alter product logos to fool silly westerners into thinking a product is produced by a notable brand instead of being a cheaper knock-off. --Ror 00:36, 26 September 2009 (CEST)
- Indeed. I know the local 99 cent store sells counterfeit Yu-Gi-Oh cards (99 cent for one of those two double decks, yet you can tell it's clearly not official) in addition to brands like "Panasemic" and "Somy" brand batteries that look nearly identical to "Pansaonic" and "Sony", so now that you mention it, it's possible someone is going to the trouble of making knockoff Lego products look like the real deal. --Champthom 00:42, 26 September 2009 (CEST)
- That sort of thing is apparently very common with gaming consoles too (like this PSP ripoff), I'm not surprised there's LEGO knockoffs out there. And with Chris being as gullible as he is, I wouldn't be surprised if he's never noticed it's not LEGO. SirCucumber 01:01, 26 September 2009 (CEST)
Here's a good (english) side-by-side comparison of 启蒙 Brick to official LEGO brand bricks http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/18382. The details are similar, but there are just small noticeable differences. The most obvious one with the police station set Chris has is the shooting range, and the guns the officers carry. Shifty (the owner of "Enlighten") has copide mainly from LEGO aside from it's Century Military line. Otherwise the police sets and others are direct clones of LEGO sets.
I'd assume Chris would notice the cheaper plastic seeing as LEGOS are made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic and Shifty's are more akin to the Canadian MegaBlocks brand.--Ror 01:18, 26 September 2009 (CEST)
That's assuming that Chris at least has some genuine LEGOs kicking around... does he even have any actual LEGO or is there the chance that all of it is cheap knockoff stuff?Never mind, I forgot he had the set with the 'Octan' signs. SirCucumber 01:22, 26 September 2009 (CEST)
Plus the Infomaniac Minifig, which was a Lego Island 1 exclusive.--Ror 01:31, 26 September 2009 (CEST)
To do
Probably mention the use of Legos, like in some of his DVD stuff, and point out the Legos in Chris's room. Also, talk about the Lego CWCville (there's quite a few pictures from the DVD Slideshow). --Champthom 16:55, 28 August 2009 (CEST)
As a Lego maniac in my youth, I am willing to identify and work on this article. --Bystander 02:29, 26 September 2009 (CEST)
I will work on some graphics for this article a bit later, for now I just replaced the info on the 启蒙 Bricks police set with more researched info. If there isn't an article on the Mario Kart Raceway yet, that would be a good article to create. --Ror 03:39, 26 September 2009 (CEST)

Added tax dollars banner
I just felt the page needed the tax dollars banner. Feel free to undo the edit if you guys feel the banner from the bigger "Toys" article is enough.
